I sucked down the milk quickly, then flew up to the sink, barely flying. I threw the bottle in it, and then went back over to mom and sat on her back.

Shadow wondered where Birdie was. A bit worried, she cracked the cabin door open carefully. "Birdie? You out there?" She called.

I heard my name, and looked at the door, seeing Shadow with a filly on her back. "Yeah, why?" I ask, and trotted over to the door. "Is something wrong?"

As I came closer to the cabin,I hear a small filly talking to somepony in the cabin.I listen to them as I turn on my spider-bot and put it on the ground then check all the systems.

"Yeah..." Shadow said, slamming the door shut. Her breathing became shallow. "Birdie, if anything happens, promise me that you'll run away, and stay safe." Shadow saw something in the shadows, and her gut did flip flops.

"GUYS!" Jasper yelled, "We need to check the cabin!"

Shadow hugged Birdie and the filly. "Yeah, I'm fine." She murmured. "Just... Stay here." She left the cabin, and watched the moving shadow. "H-hello?" She called.

Jasper ran for the cabin like lightning, keeping pace with Lyria.

I stand by the door as Lyria talks to Birdie. Something cold and heavy jumps onto my side,causing me to fall over on my hurt wing.

Shadow squeezed her eyes shut, and tears continued to run down her cheeks. She hoped that Jasper knew that she loved him. She would seriously regret not telling him if he didn't know.

"Birdie... Did you see where Shadow went?" Jasper asked frantically.

"Solar!" I say, and turn to him. I look at the thing on his side, and notice the spider on his side. I shove it off, and help him up. "Are you all right?" I asked worried.

I saw my chance I galloped as fast as my little legs would carry me, towards where my mother was. I could smell her.

"Sun Shadow!" I yelled after the filly.

Before I can answer Lyria,the spider jumps at her,I push her out of the way.I can feel the spider dig it's cold metallic legs into my flesh.I look at it and a sudden flash of light from it blurs my vision and I feel myself lift off the ground from a blast. Everything goes black as I hit the ground a good twenty feet back.

I bash the blunt side of my knife into the mare's head ,knocking her out.I drag her toward my house for further... punishment.

I gallop towards the smell of my mom, until I see her being dragged. "Mommy!" i say, and look at the pony dragging her. "Let go of my mommy you meanie!"

As everything went black, Shadow screamed as loud as she could, crying for help. Her head hurt, and she felt like she was being dragged. Then everything faded away.

"Shadow?!!" Jasper yelled back, but getting no answer, he turned to the other ponies. "If anypony's coming with me, I'm leaving now." Without another word, he cantered towards the scream.

Unconsciously, Shadow hugged the filly close, quietly coming to, and hushed the child with tears in her eyes. "It'll be okay." She mouthed, knowing all to well that she'd have to take a fall for the filly. Of course, Sun Shadow wouldn't know that until it was too late.
