Egg Cave Crossbreeding

EDIT: A lot of people seem to be confused on this. I DO NOT MEAN making combos of every single pair. I DO NOT MEAN that we can go to the SAR or something and pick two of our creatures and breed them together. I DO NOT MEAN that. Please actually read my idea so you DO know what I mean. 😋

Don't shoot this down yet! Hear me out on this!

I KNOW that a lot of people are against breeding on Egg Cave. If you breed same-species together, it decreases rarity. If you can breed any species together, that's a heck of a lot of combinations for the artists. And then those combinations could breed, and those, and those...

No. That's not what I'm talking about.

Anyone else on Chicken Smoothie here, I mean the way they have it there.

So: Every now and then, the Egg Cave staff would choose two creatures. Any creatures. And they would draw a creature that is a combination of the two. And it would probably go in the SAR Center.

Also. @crunchyoreo25 suggested that you would need the parents in order to get the creature. Makes sense 😊

I kind of like it! It would be rather interesting... So long as it wasn't overdone 😊
On that, I'd want them not to have too many stages... We need more pets with like one stage .w.

I'd like it if you made it not crossbreeds but having a 50/50 chance of getting either species. There would be a lot of Doovoos and Macbots and Onnies in egg stages though.

Maybe... but keep in mind, the poor artists will be overworked xD

I'm pretty sure most of the artists here are volunteers.

The "2nd-gen" link on the adoption page. That's what I mean.

Users don't crossbreed the species. Ian and the mods pick two species. They make a new creature that looks like a cross between the two. They make it available to users in the same way other creatures can be gotten by users. In the Cave, the Cash Shop, or possibly the SAR. So I wouldn't be able to breed my Yeep and my Floicol together. I would only be able to get a combo if the staff decided to make one.

Why would they be overworked? Maybe one of the creatures in the CSP each month would be a crossbreed, or something. That would be the same number of creatures to draw each month 😋

Yeah, I like this idea. 😊 If it was this way though, we'd have less new creatures.

To make these new breeding creatures rarer, maybe you could only have the pet if you have its 'parents' (the ones that the mods choose) and breed them together. Rather than just paying some amount of EC/CC, you would have to have its parents in order to obtain the creature...

Just another idea to throw out.

Very interesting. I like this, much so. I'd love to get my hands on a crossbreed. ;3

There could also be special crossbreeds for holidays. Say, like a cross between Bliz and Prath (Just an example), so there's a speical Christmas crossbreed LE. 😃

On the downside, crossbreeds replacing new CSP critters would mean less creature suggestions being made D:

If there is a crossbreeding, then it should be of different species. But then there is about 200 creatures in EggCave and more than 1000 combinations can be made, It'll be hard for the artists to release them.

What about a Doovoo + Macbot?
