Why am I even bothering?

So I have this paper. It is sososososososo stupid. Seriously, the dumbest assignment I've ever had to do, not to mention the most intimidating. It's not even for a "real" class; it is for a class called College 101. Basically, it's a mock white paper--you know, the kind that businesses write when they want to propose a plan or whatever? This is just awful.


And yet I'm stressing over it. And stressing. It's done but I need to revise it and turn it into SafeAssign tomorrow in the afternoon. I don't even think I'm going to get a good grade on it no matter what I do, so I don't even know why I'm still bothering.

And it doesn't help that after I finish this, I'm going to have to do a really dumb group multimedia presentation on FREAKING LEAF RAKING...that actually has to have a COMPELLING THESIS.

Okay, technically about community service. But wouldn't any thesis be about as compelling as the lesson of a kids' show? Might as well begin it with:

"Dear Princess Celestia,

Today I learned that..."

Leaf raking, you do it so clean the streets of leaves, prevent bush fires from spreading/starting, after raking all the leaves you can jump in the pile 😊 I remember doing that when I was younger 😃

At school today, they handed out this letter to kids with a good GPA for a chance at the Ben Carson Scholarship. I have to write an essay (with a 500 word limit) about a problem in my life and how I overcame it.

It's hard to keep it under 500 words. You don't know how hard, well, you probably do.

But the way I write it is confusing, since I have one big problem that links to several small problems. And the way I overcome them is weird, lol.

So my essay probably isn't going to get chosen to represent my school xD

There are so many people at my school who are giving this letter, it's not funny. And more than half of them are merit kids, while there are a quarter of us accelerated kids getting them.

But, the essay was fun to write. I kinda wrote it in 5 minutes. So many problems in my life...it's just not funny x.x

@Whispers Really? Wowza. I wish my school did something like that, though. It could potentially give us some great opportunities. But they're too busy pampering the kids who come here from Boston, so I guess we just have to go on with our own lives. XD

I know how you feel (about the problem thing), though. I'm struggling so much (with school-stress, family issues, etc.), that it's not even funny. I'm hanging on an old, dusty thread, bending over backwards for people, but it's still not enough to keep my head above water... :/

Edit: WHOA. Those are good words for a poem. >-> *runs away*

Yup. They don't give it to the accelerated kids "cause they have a C in geometry". But he's in friggin' geometry, while the merits are in pre-algebra 😋

I'm doing it on when I got my diabetes. *worst day of my life* And a year or two ago, I was bullied, and diabetes apparently make me a better "target", so my problem was diabetes leading to bullying xD
