Meanwhile, Nancy was following in the rear. She flew high in the sky, once in a while diving down. Finally, she was as high as the tallest trees. But one of her wings got stuck in the branches. "AH!" she exclaimed. Helpless, she fell plumbing to the ground. "OMG!" cried Jade and Sara.

Jade fluttered over and started poking Nancy with her wings, then changed back human, thankfully fully dressed, although rumpled. "Nancy! Are you.. I think you mighta bruised yourself. Or broke some bones. Or knocked yourself out cold. But anyways..."

@jemmie "OH MY WORD!!!!" Sara screamed. She picked up Nancy, and carefully examined her wounds. "Sorry to say so, but you got a broken wing." Sara pulled a banana leaf from the tree, and wrapped it around Nancy's wing.

Nancy was in a cloud of dreams. Finally, she woke up. "What happened?" she said dreamily. "Your wing bro-" Suddenly, things flashed back into her mind. "My wing! I can't fly!" she exclaimed. Sighing, she sat down. "Let's take a break. I'm hungry anyway."

Nancy shrieked with fear. "Why does everything include rats?" she moaned. Then, she saw Jade throw the rat at her. Screaming, she ran away. At last, she knew she was safe from that awful old, dead, stinky rat. But she wasn't with her troop. "Sara?!" she called. "Jade?"

@jemmie @sandstorm99 Sara swooped down, and grabbed Nancy by the arms. "AGH!" she shrieked. "Heh heh, it's just me girl." Sara carried her back to the path, and set her down. "Jade and I came up with that. Did we scare ya?" Sara said jokingly.

@jemmie @sandstorm99 Sara saw the ring, lying in a brush. A Tasmainian Devil was pulling the box to her den. "Nope." Sara said, as she pulled the ring from the devil's jaws. "Here, a devil fell in love with it." The ring was still shiny, clean as new.

Hmmm....Must be where the P is.....Good thing we found the ring when we did! Who knew we were this close...." Sara turned to Jade and Nancy. "C'mon, we gotta go." as Sara walked, she felt something on her shoulder....."Agh! How...." a Kitties Hog-Nose Bat was sitting on her shoulder! "Great..." she muttered. Can I have a pet? 😃

Nancy rolled her eyes. She was sick of her own, nasty attitude already, yet she was still doing it. She shook herself. "Come on!" she yelled. Then she ran off. "OMG!" She skidded to a stop. Before her, was an old, wood cabin. "Come inside!" said an old, friendly man.

The old man just laughed. "Come inside!" he said warmly.
Nancy had followed Sara and Jade inside, nervously glancing at the man. Then she heard a squeak, a bark, and a meow. "PETS!" cried Nancy. "Free," the old man said, as he led them to the adoption room. Nancy saw pets, from dogs to fish, from fish to cats, from cats to bunnies, from bunnies to birds. But one puppy she adored. It was white, with a tan tail, and dark eyes. Then she looked at Jades pet.

@jemmie @sandstorm99 Sara looked below her, and in a cage was a small, but strong wolf. She was white. "Hello, Jeza." Sara smiled. "Hey, can I adopt this guy?" Sara asked. "Oh, yes." The man laughed. "Take what you would like." Sara took Jeza out of the cage. "Hey, girl." She led her along.

I got this obsession with horses! 😃

Jade stared at a pure black horse with a wild look in it's eyes. In a daze, she walked toward him, reaching out to pet his nose. THe horse reared back in shock, neighing with fear. "I'm.." SHe finished lamely. "A good person." The horse tentatively placed all 4 hooves on the ground. "I uh.. won't heart you." She smiled, mistake. Her fangs showed, and the horse snorted, but without fear. Only annoyance..

Nancy and the others kept browsing for pets. Then she heard a noise. It was the old man. "I was on the phone," he said. "We got a load of horses. You can choose one from these for a gift." That was it! I picked up my puppy, and we scanned the horses. I found one that was a yellowish tan. "Peanut," I said smiling. Jade and Sara heard me. "Where?"

Nancy nodded. She looked at her horse. Midnight black. Then she looked at Jeza. Although a wolf, she was fierce and white, the color of snow. Then she looked at her own. Tan, plain, boring. She signed, "Why do I have to be so lame?" she moaned to herself.

A black stallion with blue and yellow streaks coming through her mane and tail, the blue meaning rain, the yellow lighting, and the black thunder. "LIGHTING!" she yelled as she grabbed the horses head. "I've found you..." Sara drifted off. Jeza licked her, and reminded her of her destiny. "Oh, whoops. Thanks Jeza." I led Lighting out of her stall.
