Nearby stood a young boy, about the same age as all of them, seeming to walk by just now. He was clad in trunks and a wet shirt, indicating he was going home from a lake nearby. The commotion caught his eye rather quickly and he trottled over, looking over the crowd easily, thanks to his height. He spotted a few bubbles rising in the water and dashed at the speed of light, quickly realizing what had happened.
With a skillfull jump he ripped the waves, diving deep below. With the corner of his eye, he glanced at a distinctive figure sinking fast into the depths and swam to the girl, gathering her in his arms. On his way back to the surface he also decided to pull the drowning boy along too and came out.
He only bothered to pull the boy on shore quickly, before gently setting Aevelia down on the ground, checking for a pulse. There was a slight one... but she was still alive.
He didn't even bother searching for help - everyone was gathering around Toby instead of worrying for the girl, so he was the only one who could help her. Lowering himself down, he pressed his lips over Aevelia's and breathed in.

Brendan bit his lip and scrunched up his nose before flicking his hair out off his face. He began to fiddle with his hands and swallowed lump in his throat. He didn't know what to do at the time as he began to pull at a strand of hair.

Taken aback by the girl's sudden outburst, Mason acted quickly. Pulling Aevelia up with him, he supported her, keeping her from falling back into the water and turned to face her.
"Tell me how to help." his warm brown eyes met her lavender colored ones and for a moment, he found himself enchanted. The beauty of her eyes wasn't the most important matter, though, so he shook his head, pushing those thougth at the back of his mind.

Rather baffled, Samuel watched from afar, just now exiting the school. It seemed as if a fight had broken out here as well, but he couldn't see a thing through the many people that had gathered. Quickly, he spotted a black-haired head tucked at the back of the crowd and recognised him - that boy from earlier, he remembered.
"Hey!" he called out, trottling over to Brendon and stopping to catch his breath. "We didn't get a chance to meet earlier in school. Because of the circumstances, you know... I'm Sam."

Knitting his eyebrows in consufion Mason frowned. It seemed like a hard task to him, but the girl's pleading gaze melted him inside. No matter his attempts, he couldn't bring himself to decline her request.
Nodding, he helped Aevelia up carefully.
"Alright... I'll help with whatever I can. But first... you need to rest. You nearly drowned." he muttered in a worried tone.

Sapharia had walked in during the middle of Mason and Aevelia's conversation. "Hey, you okay Aevelia? What did that pathetic excuse for a human do to you?"

Brendon glanced over at the brunette and blinked his eyes 'I-I'm Brendon..' He mutters awkwardly staring at Sam and cocking his head. He didn't no what else to say but he just nodded 'N-Nice to meet you..'

Mason was surprised when the girl straight forward fell asleep in his arms. He raised an eyebrow, rather confused, but smiled lightly afterwards.
"Didn't mean that when I said 'rest'." he muttered quietly, turning to Saph now. She had been the only one ready to aid Aevelia and seemed to hate Toby and Colette, so this led him to the understand that she was on his side. He flashed her a smile.
"You must be a friend." he chirped out. "Hi, I'm Mason."

Sheepishly, Sam attempted smiling (which ended up looking like a strange smirk) and turned his gaze from the commotion, locking it onto the nervous boy.
One thing he noticed rather quickly - the boy had startlingly bright blue eyes and ebony hair... The appearance, accentuated by his pale skin seemed rather unearthly, considered the current century. And the name...
"Brendon... - that's an unusual name. Quite beautiful though." he mused.

She heard the scream. She jolted up. "What happened?!" she cried. She looked at Colette. She ran over to Colette. She fell to the ground crying. She was forced to kill...
