Well, I'd suggest that you got the letter late. It would fit the story pretty well. So far, we've gotten wands, learned magic defense and offense, learned our magic ability, and found out which cabin we're going to be in. We also just survived a wolf attack.....

Emma was called to the headmasters office. "Hey look I'm sorry about the fire thing..." She sighed. Then the next thing she knew, she was on the ground with a wad at her throat.
"Dark wizard. Dark magic" he hissed.

Sweat glistened on Emma's cheek, it was also tears though. Pain jolted down her body as the headmasters friend said his spells.
"What," a pause to take her breath "What do you want from me?" She was short of breath and even this small question tired her.
"You are filled with dark magic. We want to harness it. Use it against you." the headmasters friend hissed.
Could she reach her wand? Yes. She felt it in her boot..
"Expecto Patronum" she whispered the words so they couldn't hear. A blast oh light shone from the building and the two men were knocked back. "Back up or your dead." She snarled getting up.

"You couldn't if you tried. I dare you." the headmaster cooed. She was about to.
"No. It is unforgivable. I've used it before, on plants." she hissed.
"AND ON MY BROTHER!" Cried the headmasters friend. "I found him dead when he called you in here last. You killed him" Tears poured down his cheek.
Emma didn't care of the mans tears. She waved her wand and a wall of fire came up and she was gone.

Winter sat atop her cabin, her usual place. She began to enjoy watching the rest of the people that went to the 'academy' with her instead of going down to meet them. Boredly, she pulled out her wand and smiled, remembering the fact that she knew a little bit of latin. "Tenebris volu." She whispered. A small ribbon of shadows came out of the wand, swirling around her in a spiral fashion before disappearing.

"Just finishing some lunch. I'm going to the cabin early to learn more about magic." She said, smiling and walking to the trash can. She dumped her lunch remnants in there, and gave back the glossy brown tray. She shrugged and walked out of the cafeteria, into her cabin to read. She pulled her book from yesterday, and read from page 30.

The magic of air is indeed a sight to behold. A person who has this talent can use many air spells. One can create a shield of heavy air to defend themselves, or shoot powerful gusts of wind from their hands, feet, or wand. But there is more to air than just this. A user can create a gust of wind to blow out fires. Or perhaps just simply teleport. But, apparently, you can use air magic to create a tornado.

Winter smiled a bit as the dark ribbon of magic faded before going back to watching the other people when an idea popped up in her head. Grinning, she quietly leaped off of her cabin and headed towards Crescent Woods, excited to be able to climb trees again.
