Diane stood outside the zoo gates. She climbed over them, and went to the grizzly exhibit. She stood for a while outside the cage, but then opened the gate and walked inside. The big grizzly turned his head and grunted. "Here, boy." Diane called. "I've got something for you," she said, dangling the chain with the bear pendant on the air. "Isn't it gorgeous? Just like you, buddy." The grizzly heaved himself to his feet, and lumbered over to Diane. Her heart started racing; she had NEVER been this close to any animal but the one that were under three feet tall, apart from the poisonous ones. The bear grunted and sniffed the pendant.Diane slowly moved forwards to slip one part of the chain over his ear. He didn't move, so she let it slip down his neck, and let go of the other part she still held onto. The grizzly hopped back a little in surprise that this thing was on his neck, but then calmly shook himself so his fur ruffled up. "Good boy." Diane managed to say as she brushed back her hair and fastened her own necklace. It felt like the ground had given away beneath her feet, so Diane lunged towards the bear to blance herself, flinging her arms around his neck. The bear hung his head over her shoulder, seeing the ground grow closer, but before he could do anything, both human and bear crashed into the dark floor, and lay slumped on the bottom.

Winter quickly put on the necklace she found with the collar and ran over to Ice's enclosure. "Ice!" She said, smiling. The artic fox's ears perked up as it trotted over. "I've got a little surprise for you." She said, holding out the collar as she entered the enclosure. Smiling when she saw the fox's tail wag slightly, Winter slipped the collar over Ice's head. "Good girl." Winter suddenly felt as though she were falling through the air. Stretching out her arms, she caught Ice before they both crashed down onto the dark ground below.

The bear grunted as he nosed Diane's shoulder. He snuffled at her face, and lifted her arm so it flopped over her head.Diane groaned, and blinked her eyes. Behind her favorite animal, there was an owl, a mermaid, and two angels. Looking to her left, Diane saw some other zoo workers. A few of them were still slumped on the ground with their animals. The grizzly smiled happily that Diane was awake, and heavily sat down on his rump.

Rubbing her head, Winter sat up. The small artic fox nudged her and and sat down next to her. "Wh...where...?" She asked, looking around.
