Savvy whooped and ran off, but not even a bird heard the sound, for she was a mouse. In her hollow, Savvy quickly grabbed her underused backpack, she had always meant to use it. She filled it with various items, a acorn top meant for a shield, a few extra twigs in case hers broke, and tons of sunflower seeds. Looking around, she finally found her needle, and pulled out the small, blue hoop earring she had found. Just her size.

Savvy stared at the needle, before lifting it to her right ear. Taking a deep breath, she poked through her ear, blood dripping to the floor. Quickly then, Savvy fed the hoop through her ear, and snapped it shut. The sapphire hoop in her ear, backpack and twig strapped to her back, the golden mouse scurried back to the berry bush to wait for Furi.
