GHOST STORIES! I'll give you a list and the first person to come here will tell me which one they want to hear. Then I will all of the other posters if there is any to tell you which one i'm telling and then i'll tell it! Sound good?

The list: There is more if we finish these.

A young man trying to get home to Edmonton from Fort McMurray has a brush with death when he takes a ride in a phantom van.

Three friends having brunch in red deer are joined by the ghost of a woman from a time gone by.

A girl in a bright pin ski suit haunts a chairlift on a slope near Banff- but doesn't know she's dead.

Kindly spirits give two lonley young people a nudge in the right direction, forever changing thir lives for the better

@izzfred @sharkout Whichever, but since we're on the wave, third ^^

@sharkout sure thing! Just let me find it... Alrighty here we go.

Going up

Carolyn jumped aboard the empty chairlift as it whirred it's around the gate. 'I was smart to pick this lift instead of the new quad.' She thought looking down at the larger, and supposedly faster, ski lift. 'That one might be faster once you get on but there must be a twenty minute wait for an empty spot.'
Sliding her ski suited bottom to the back of the metal chair with practiced proficiency, the young woman held her ski tips high and settled in to enjoy the trip up the mountainside near Banff.

Continue!

@sharkout I know right @purrclan continuing!

As she looked around she noticed that there was a skier directly on the chair behind her. 'Well isn't this ust my lucky day? Not only do I get on the lift without having to wait in line, but the only other person riding is a very cute guy!' "Hi there!" She called enthusiastically in his direction. Her inventive mind was already creating plans to waste a few moments at the top of the ski run until his chair came around, then maybe make a little conversation, perhaps ski down the slope with him and maybe even pop into the chalet to get to know one another over a mug or two of hot cider.
But the young man didn't acknowledge her greeting.

I'll post more after I have lunch!

Deleted • 6 January 2013 at 4:04 PM

@jupiter_hollow definatley nowhere near you. I live in Canada.

He didn't even seem to have noticed that he wasn't alone on the otherwise deserted ski lift. 'Maybe he couldn't hear me.' Carolyn thought as she waved instead. 'I'm doubly glad now that I chose the pink ski suit. He might not have heard me but he can't help but see me waving.'
When she didn't attract his attention that wau either, Carolyn had to admit to herself that she was slightly miffed.

Please continue! 😃 I am so interested 😃

@sharkout of course!

'Maybe he's on of those snobby types who thinks he's to good for everyone else on the slopes. All the more reason to wit and ski down with him. I might be a bit sore from that wipe-out this morning, but I bet I can still show him a thing or two about plowing through powder.'
The mechanism on the old lift creaked mightily as it pulled the cables around the top of the run. Carolyn slipped off the chair effortlessly and glided out of the way. She watched intently as the the next chair rounded the apex and the young man she'd been admiring from afar slid to a spot three metres from her.
"Hi there." She repeated with what she expected was more enthusiasim than appropiate.

AWESOME!!

@sharkout it's going to get even more interesting.

Despite being only a few metres apart and the only two humans within sight of each other, the young man didn't acnowledge her greeting. As a matter of fact, he still acted as though she wasn't there.
Embarassed by the increasingly awkwards situation, Carolyn responded as she always did when she was ill at ease. She started to chatter.
"We were smart not to get sucked into the waiting line for the new lift, eh? I'll bet we can make two runs before half of those people are even at the top. We'll ea them and they won't know they'r ein a race. Speaking of which i'll race you to the bottom." She dared the silent young man who was staring off into the distance. "Loser buys hot chocolate for the winner. Sound fair?"

There's more!!!

But before the young man found the courtesy to answer, he turned away from her and towrd the edge of the slope. Skillfully, purposefully he began to ski down the side of the mountain. As he reached the chalet at the bottom he took a deep breath.

I stopped there because there;s only one more paragraph

"Bruce!"
He turned in the direction of the voice. Hi friend michael was heading toward him
Hey Mike." He mumbled wondering whether or not to say anythign about the expierence he'd ust had. 'Maybe not.' Unsure as to whether he would even be ale to describe the shimmering, pulsing, dark pink light he'd seen floating on the chair in front of him.

@bluegirl80 sorry I don't do horror @plushie @sharkout @twilight_raptor

"Hey brucey-baby. Where ya been?? We've been looking ll over for you. Have you tried the new quad lift? Man is it fast. They're shutting down the old one for good tonight. It's time they got rid of that creaky old thing anyway. It's creeped me out since I was a kid and my brothers stupid friend told me it was haunted. There was supposed to be the ghost of a gilr in some bright pshychedelic color from the seventies who always dared to try and ski with her. Of course, the punchline of the story was that if you took her up on the dare, you'd die too."
Bruce had been standing by a snowdrift as his friend spoke, and that was a good thing. Otherwise he could've hurt his head when he fainted

T/HE END
