@solaris Don't worry. That happened to me. They give you laughing gas, and they will most likely fill it or if its a baby tooth take it out. (And by fill I mean Bond it)

@solaris
It's okay. You're alive, and that's what matters.
Most likely, if it's a baby tooth, theyll take it out. Probably by pulling it. (It never hurts, you get the numb thing, and it's actually pretty cool!)

Or, you get it bonded. They fix it up, or fill it. Like a filling.
You'll be fine.

@Solaris it's OK! Nothing wrong will happen, (dentists never screw up) I LOVE going to the dentist he makes my teeth happy! But I hate how you don't get to eat for an hour! (it's always after school when I am hungry) But the point is don't be scared they will fix your tooth and you will be happy and healthy in the end (;

@solaris
More than likely they'll just try to fill it. 😊 And, is it just chipped, or...? I don't think it's anything to worry about, try not to worry too much! 😊

@plushie
Our lunch is at 1:00, which means we get a small snack. I can eat the snack, since I usually go towards that time. Although, my dentist is so sweet! She is really nice to me! I think she thinks of me as a weird person though, I'm always hyper when I go there. O.o
@solaris I gues I'll ping you...

Thanks everyone!

My front tooth is about half broken. It happened before when I was 13 and they bonded it. But now, while I was eating a piece of bread, the bond broke off!

I'm really terrified of the dentist, so I'm pretty concerned. Not to mention that I just moved into a new city and have never met the dentist before.

I just feel pretty sick to my stomach.

Don't worry, I've broken the same front tooth 4 times before, XD it doesn't hurt when they fill it 😊

It's okay. If you've never met the dentist, why be afraid? Why be afraid at all? Even is they are mean or strict, if you brush your teeth and keep them clean, they won't yell at you or anything. Relax, it's fine. I have experience. (I brush my teeth, but I have like a million cavities. Don't know how!)

@solaris That happened to me! Don't be worried, I've had it happen more than once, I'll tell you exactly what they did to me (all three times)

Ok, they don't give you any needles or anything silly like that, unless it's a tooth way in the back, if it's one of your front-ish teeth, don't worry.

It also doesn't hurt at all, just smells a bit funny when it's fresh (by it, I mean the stuff they use to remake the tooth)

They have this stuff, it's kind of thick and pasty, and when it hardens it's as firm as a tooth. They will take the and put in on your tooth where it's broken, and will shape it to the size and shape of your other one, so they'll match. When it's ready, they shine this light on it that hardens it immediately, and then the dentist will come back in and look at it, make any final adjustments and polish it off. It will be the exact same colour as normal tooth, and it won't be noticeable.

I just felt my teeth now (the ones with the fillings) and they are so perfectly smooth it's amazing!!

I guess I'm scared that the dentist will tell me that he can't bond it and I'll have to get a root canal!

It's been so long since I had the original bond put in. But I do remember that he had to use the needle to numb it. Maybe technology has improved in the last ten years. 😋

@metaphor

Thanks! I hate teeth too. 😋

Well, it's done. The tooth is fixed. But, I've never EVER had such an awful dentist. He was so mean! I like to ask questions so that I know what's going on, but he would get angry. So, I stopped asking. I almost walked right on out, but he had already started and I just wanted it to be done with. ☚ī¸

@solaris
When I was 6, I chipped a little bit of my front tooth in the bath tub (DONT ASK), I went to the dentist, they attached this plastic thing that looks a LOT like my actual tooth, and now i'm fine 😊 It's really not that bad.
