So my iPod was working fine just five minutes ago (it's on full battery).

I turn off my iPod. I get up, go to the bathroom. and come back. I try to turn on my iPod; the screen is black and it's not working. I plugged it into my computer to see if I can fix it on iTunes. But it's not connecting :c

It's from 2008.

Help? D: I don't want to have to buy another iPod.

EDIT: It just suddenly started working and connected to iTunes ❤️33 xD Sorry for the trouble guise

@whispers Have you ever dropped it? I don't have an IPod but
I might be able to help.

@izzfred

I've dropped, yes, but not recently.
All I had done was place it next to my computer, then I come back and *poof* it's not working ;A;

@whispers When you dropped it do you remember whether the screen or the back hit the floor?

@izzfred
Well, it's either the screen or the back hitting the floor whenever I drop it 😋. 'Cause it's shaped like this: http://tinyurl.com/c85dzvx

@whispers I I thought you meant IPod touch xD But don't worry I might still be able to help because my dad used to have one of these.

Mayybe your battery display got messed up if the back (Where the mechanism is) hit the floor and it actually is dead. I know it's not very likely but it's possible.

@izzfred
Oh haha XD It's okay!

I'm not sure about that though, since it was working just fine before it stopped working, and that i haven't dropped it today DX

@whispers maybe the battery display was messed up and it died when you got out of the bathroom? If I remember correctly those don''t lose power that easily.

@izzfred

But if it had just died, when I plugged it into the computer, it should have started charging. o.o

This is so weird DX

@izzfred like 10 miles away

But... it just appeared on iTunes and says it needs a software update... so apparently the software on my iPod had crashed and it wasn't working. xD

@whispers OMG xD We go looking for exotic ideas when all that happened was it needed a software update xD

Yeah, I get this message saying "Your iPod needs a software update: the current software has crashed."

And I burst out laughing xD
