For the moment, I think a few tips on how to care for the eggs in general would be really helpful, if possible.

Well, when you feed other people's coves, lots of people will feed yours back.

This will also get you EC, which you can use at Tim's, located under the explore tab to book your creatures in there. It will keep them at 100 happiness, so they can't die in there.

You can feed eggs by clicking each of them and click the feed button on the left portion. If you think you will be leaving for far too long, you can always book them in Tim'd Food Shoppe. If you feed you'll earn this EggCoins (EC) where in you can use for booking at Tim's or do a trade.

If you think you have too much EC you can always put them in the Strongroom [it's the bank version here. Found under the 'My Stuff' bar].


Btw, if you feed other people's cove make sure to post on their wall so you can get a feed back. But first, make sure to read their profile because not all users gives you a feed back like example they are on hiatus. Still you can feed their coves without getting a feed back if you wanted to earn EC.
