So yeah, I mentioned in an earlier post that I'm going to be reading tonight. I was feeling confident, and out of nowhere, I just realized I have this huge breakout on my face. It literally just appeared over night. It has to be nerves and lack of sleep. It seriously wasn't like this at all yesterday. I don't have perfect skin by any means, but it definitely has never looked this bad. I don't know if it's actual acne or if maybe it's hives (my mom suggested)?anyone have any suggestions on how to treat it, or at least lessen the appearance of it for a few hours? This is so embarrassing. I already feel like a bloated cow. Now I'm going to look like a complete slob.âšī¸

do you go to school? it might be a good idea to take a 'sick day' off and buy acne cream. i looked it up and it said that hives "usually cause itching, but may burn or sting". it's probably acne though.http://www.emc2acne.com/get-rid-of-pimples-acne-overnight.html@metaphor

@plisser9Yeah, I looked up hives, and I don't think it's that. I think it's just acne. I'm in college. Tomorrow is actually my off day (no classes!). It's just that tonight I am going to the release party for my University's literary journal, and I will be reading two of my pieces. Which I was already nervous enough about. Thanks for the link. I will check it out.

@metaphor If you don't have any cream for it, you can use tooth paste (the white, paste-y kind, not gel) or if you don't have that, try rubbing alcohol, and visine will help the redness go away. Then before school, wrap some ice in a paper towel and hold it on the breakout. That will really shrink anything thats not completely gone đ

@metaphor I hope it goes away :\ If it's still there after you've tried some acne cream, I recommend Proactiv, though it's a little expensive.
