Help Needed in Science

Hi there~

I have a few questions that need answering. It may be obvious to some of you though, so I don't think it's too hard. 😉

1. What vibrates in a flute to create a sound?
[Pretty sure it's air, but I may be wrong xD]

2. How are different pitches created with a reed instrument?

2. created by shortening or lengthening the air column inside the instrument. (is that in enough detail??) 😊
