so some of you might know, when im older i want to be a makeup artist and im doing my first course this year 😊my family thinks i should also do hairdressing/styling because they sort of go together, but im not very interested in that, so should i?? im looking for a little more than a yes no answer on all these too, like a little convincing on why 😊my mum thinks i should get a small job at a hairdressers doing the small jobs, like sweeping the hair from the floor, cos it would really help with being a makeup artist, i really dont see how....EDIT: also, im wanting my own makeup business, where its just me working, but if i wanted a job working for someone else's business, what would look good on my resume?? (sorry, dont know how to get the thing above the e 😋 ) obviousley that i've completed the 4 makeup courses, but what else?? 😊

If you really feel like going for your goal, then keep going towards being a makeup artist. We need some new people in that business, since everyone went Lady Gaga with their makeup now. Which kinda annoys me.So I would advice you to keep going for what you love and want. 😊//Roxy

@eldnewI think if you want to try doing the makeup thing then give it a try, also if you ever did want to have a makeup business you should try something like Avon. Because your a salesperson selling not just makeup, but other items and it will give you a chance to generate customers. My friend had wanted me to do the Avon thing with her, but I moved and so I think you should give that one a try. Also, if you want to be successful at it, you'll have to be good at talking to people. Even in hairdressing they talk to their customers so that they can feel special that someone cares not just about doing their hair, but them in general. Communicating is key to having a good business. Before I left I think she was doing well with the Avon thing and she had customers. So why not give the Avon thing a try.

@eldnewIt's really easy all she did was hand out those little booklets that have all their seasonal items and then when they wanted to buy something from it, they'd just have to place an order with her. You might want to have some business cards so they can call you or have your number placed on the booklet. And the booklet you can hand out to friends, family, even people in your neignborhood that way if they place an order with you, you'll get your customer base, I've spent alot of time in retail and I know the best way I've ever sold anything was just talking to them and I wish you luck in this area, because I believe that you can do this especially if your heart is really into it. Also Avon has a thing where if you join you can get an Avon website signing up with them and people can place their orders online, and you'll get the commission. I also believe if you do well with the Avon thing it will prove to you that someday you'll be able to have your own business.

@eldnewOf course, you got one more year till you're 18 that's awesome! I can give you advice on how to organize I saw how my friend did things. But all's well that goes well I'm happy for you that you have this great passion for it.😊 I think you can look up the website and then they can find a representative that lives in your area and you already have your parents consent so it's all good.

@chloelove i'll have a look at their website now 😊advice would be great, but i should probably have a talk to my parents about this before getting to ahead of myself xD

@eldnewYeah I meant when you start to do things then you can ask. I'm sure your parents should be okay with it. You have something that you want to do which is a great start. Let me know if your parents said it's ok.
