Do you know the town hall ? And I'm sure you doIs it just really annoying when you find a really good username and want to change yours to it? Well yeah I know how it feels so I think Eggcave should have a second townhall but for your usernames and has a different name you get 3 chances per month so you enter your wanted username and the email you're using and then an email will be sent to your address for the username activate once it's activated, your username is your wanted username now and everyone's happyPersonally I support this How about you ?

Well @nasyiaxm I feel you.My other accounts Name is flamestarrose and I am soooo ashamed âšī¸
ems • 16 April 2013 at 11:20 PM
@rosamund Y u so ashamed? D: I liked that username. đ@nasyiaxm I think it should be WAY less often.... More like... once every 4-5 months. That way, people can't change their username constantly... The more I think about this though, the more silly it seems. All you have to do is make a new account, wait 2 days, and switch. đ

@rosamund You didn't answer my question. XD Also, no one cares about usernames... Well, unless they're stupidly random with a bunch of numbers. XD But otherwise, I don't really care. And my username's sorta nerdy anyways.Y u ashamed of @flamestarrose?

Yes @ems :/ I tried so hard to change my username but the staff...had no time
jix • 17 April 2013 at 1:34 AM
@rosamund I STRONGLY believe that should NOT happen. Because it's a serious bother to staff to go through and edit your information in their system. Seriously. Maybe you can just file a ticket to change yer username once every 6 months? You can always make another account and move all your creatures, then delete your old account or use it as a storage or whatnot.

True :/ ty @jix

@rosamund No prob.@nasyiaxm Here's a repost of my argument with that:I STRONGLY believe that should NOT happen. I like this idea, because I changed my username but I had to make a whole new account and move all my creatures to it. It was a pretty long process. I always want to change my user name, (like why the heck did I name this account cotton? -.-) but I just don't do it because I feel like it's going to annoy everyone.

I think it'd be a cool idea, but it'd probably be really hard to do.If you look at the link on your profile, it actually has your username in the link. Then when you go look at your creature's page, it has a number. So when you are changing your creature's name, it's just changing a little bit of text and a few things. But they would have to probably change the whole system to be able to change UNs.I hope what I'm saying isn't completely wrong, and look really dumb by saying this. XD But by just seeing links and not seeing the code, that's what it looks like. And thank you, @rosamund đ

@nasyiaxm^-^ I don't like this idea at all. If people changed their usernames people wouldn't know who it was. This problem is EVERYWHERE, I don't loike it one bit, it creates confusion.
purrclan • 17 April 2013 at 11:13 AM
@bluebelleWell, if you switch main accounts like other people said, people still wouldn't know who it was.Or, of course, you could say 'x's new main' on the profile.Or in this case, 'used to be x'. đ

@nasyiaxm Personally, I think everyone should have thought about whether they liked their username when they made it. I've always kept the same two usernames anywhere I go, this way:1. People know who I am.2. I'm always satisfied with my name.3. I don't forget what my username was.I see your point, I just don't see why it's necessary to have to change your name every two seconds! In my opinion, it's painfully confusing when someone changes their name, especially when I liked the old name. Believe me, I know places where people change their names freely, I have little to no friends in those places, because I don't remember who is who. It's that bad.See, where some people would change there name and stick with it, others would love to change their name AS SOON as it was possible, to something corresponding to their current favorite show/game/movie. That's not bad, but it confuses the heck out of their friends.Basically what I'm saying is, I don't really like this idea.

@nasyiaxm I think this would actually be a bad idea. Most websites don't allow you to change your username. At least most of the sites I've seen/am a member of. When you make your account, you should really think about what you want your username to be. Because it's going to be something permanent. Also if people changed their usernames, it would get so complicated. Let's say I changed my name. People in my friends list would get confused when they see a different username in their list. "When did I add this person?"Sure they'd figure out by the time they go to my profile who I was but. It would still cause a lot of confusion.Plus then the staff have to make new coding or manually change it. Which is time that could be spent on creating things that are more useful to the site or answering questions and helping to keep the site running smoothly.
