@jupiter_hollow--"Alright, Dannick... There's not much I can do, and our healer is resting." She smiled sympathetically and laid an awkward hand on his good shoulder. "Can you tell me about the humans? Why are they so violent?" Storm asked, easing from her crouch into a sitting position beside Dannick.Her bright, neon eyes skittered around, searching for anything that could disturb the peace she sat in, any signs of danger. There were none. Not that Storm could see. All she saw were the bright, glowing colors of the forest, and all she heard were the soft chirps of the animals hiding within. And so her gaze fell upon the human, her eyes clearly searching him for any differences between them. Danny was scrawnier... And paler. Must have been blood loss. His left arm twitched every so often, and Storm held back a grimace. It must hurt a lot.Storm wished to remove her gaze, but it remained, patiently awaiting a reply.

@ems-He nodded weakly, more of a thanks to her sympathy than anything, and made the effort to roll over on his side, left arm resting onto his hip so as to lessen the pressure and, therefore, the pain too."They..." as of the moment, he couldn't find a proper explanation, neither did he have one whatsoever. He didn't know when humanity's fear of the unknown had manifested itself or when it had gradually morphed into hostility, which, in its own turn, turned into hate and violence. Plundering and kiling already, taking innocent lives because they were pathetically scared... it seemed illogical, confusing and so very barbaric to him that Dannick sometimes wondered if he belonged or even wanted to belong to this community.It was inexplicable... but he tried to warn her anyways."They're-- We're... uhm, humanity has this paranoia, this fear of everything new and extraordinary. The more powerful it is, the more they fear it and..." at this point, he heaved a sigh. "the more they strive they destroy it, or at the very least cut it open and see what makes it better than them." He chuckled humorlessly, then gave a groan of pain as the action jostled his body. "Ye gods, I made us sound like barbarians! We're not that bad, the lot of us. It's only the military forces that are poised to kill. Or... shoot, at least."He knit his eyebrows together, looking up at the girl and frowning."I don't think they meant to hurt any of you... They shouldn't even know any of you inhabit this place. But I must warn you, our soldiers are hostile and ...also very spasmodic shooters. Y'know, shoot at everything that moves, that kind'a thing."He gave an apologetic bloody smile, eyes half-lidded with fatigue, and if he could sheepishly scratch the back of his head, he would've, but the gesture of sympathy was enough for now.

@jupiter_hollow--Storm seemed to mull over the explanation, eventually giving a slow nod. "I think... I think I understand. I've been afraid of the unknown before. But to keep the peace, I have to find a way to contact your people." She looked back down as he gave her a bloody, tired grin, and she frowned a bit. "Do you wish to sleep or at least wash up...?" Storm was confused as to why her healer had not cleansed him, but decided it was more important that he was alive.

@ems-"D-don't..." he pleaded, knowing the outcome of the supposed future contact already. Apparently used to peace and co-existence, the inhabitants of Pandora had not yet met the cruel fist of humanity, which usually came down upon that which they were not superior to. In short, the men would maul them down before they'd even proposed them peace.However, before he could swallow the clog of blood in his thoat and open his mouth to tell her, she'd already changed the topic."No, I... I mean yes. I need a shower... I-I guess we could speak after I've gotten my plausible thinking back, eh?" he offered light-heartedly, giving a sheepish smile and attempting to sit up. "Y-you don't take showers in that glowy water, right? Because I don't think my skin has developed the ability to withstand high temperatures yet..."He chuckled, letting out a groan afterwards, as he rose up into a sitting position.

@jupiter_hollow--Storm wondered why he'd said she shouldn't contact the humans... Reason always worked on Pandorra... But she put that aside; the boy did need some clean-up and rest. "Uh, we don't." She laughed lightly, standing to offer him a hand. "Even we can't withstand the temperatures... I must say I'm a little surprised you dared to touch it." Storm knew a good place to wash in, with a waterfall to help rinse the dirt and grime from your body.

@ems-"Ye gods, thank you!" he exclaimed, raising his hands to the theoritical gods he was speaking to. "I'd hate to go in there again. It was just the only water source around and... it just looked pretty, okay!? Don't judge an englishman for being obnoxiously curious." he mumbled with a slight chuckle. "But yes, I do tend to get myself into trouble."Reaching forward, he took her hand, groaning as he pulled himself up, slightly surprised at the seemingly smaller girl's strength."Thanks." he smiled at her.

@jupiter_hollow--Storm held in laughter. "You're quite welcome. I would assume you all seem to be trouble." She chuckled with him, leading him out of the campgrounds an towards the lake. "I should probably tell you now rather than later that everything that is 'pretty' is either poisonous or dangerous in some other way. The best way for you to stay alive right now it to just now touch anything." She laughed softly, brushing her fingers along a dully colored plant - somewhat unusual for the neon planet.

@ems-"Some more than others." Dannick admitted, his thick english accent ringing a bit too loud than desirable. He let his gaze roam freely over the neon landscape, squinting his eyes against the intense glow as he proceeded forward.He had his hand extended, reached out to brush a palm tree leaf out of his path as Storm had spoken and flinched back from the plant as if stung (albeit this time, he wasn't so unfortunate) and frowning at the dangerous glowing greenlife."Yeah, wouldn't really 'ppreciate being killed by prettiness. Though I've to admit, it'd be the most proper death. But ah... not now." he paused, squinting his eyes at the plant again and circling around it. "Later..."

@jupiter_hollow--Storm risked a glance back and smiled a bit. "That one's safe. Quite beautiful, really. I've heard lots of rumors about what Earth looks like..." She trailed off as they reached the lake. "I heard it was even more beautiful than Pandorra. And I believe it to be true." Storm clapped her hands together. "Anyways, you can clean up here. I'll be close by, so if you need anything, just give me a shout." And with that, Storm disappeared into the forest again.

@ems-Nodding with thanks, Dannick reached over to caress the luminant leaf, fingers going through its stem and then moving on to the other leaves. It was a rather new experience - being in contact with something so beautiful without paying the price of a sting or another nasty injury...He jerked towards Storm, slightly gawking."Y-you'll be around?" he questioned a tad bit too late as the girl disappeared into the forest, going bright red afterwards. "She'll be around..." he mumbled, fiddling with the hem of his bloodied shirt initially, later starting to undress, being careful with his bandage-clad forearm and leaving his bloodied clothes close to the lake's edge.Up to this point, he'd gotten off most of his clothing garments and slightly shivered at the cold air that stung his body. Finally discarding everything, he stepped into the lake with a ready stride, determined to get washed up as soon as possible and get dressed, embarassed of his nude body. That resolve, however, fell short, when the lake's water turned out colder than expected."EEK!" he squeaked out, shuddering from the freezing water and supressing the urge to barrel out and get dressed."Hooooo, cold cold cold cold." he grunted out, getting enough courage to dip himself under and then surfaced with a gasp of air."Still cold! Dam*it!"

@jupiter_hollow--Storm spluttered into quiet laughter at Danny's question after she left. Of course she wouldn't be looking; that'd be invading his privacy. She crouched down in the glowing plants and studied the soil, pulling a stick from the tangled ivy-like plants to draw in the dust. She sighed, obviously bored, and decided to settle down and sleep instead, one hand gripped around her knife as if it was a lifeline.

@ems-After a while of cursing at the cold water, Dannick finally got the guts to go underwater again and begin washing himself, wincing occasionally as the current slightly made his frearm ache. Needless to say, he was shivering by the time he was spotlessly clean.Whimpering, he exited and grabbed his clothes quickly, returning inside the water that he had begun growing accustomed to. The temperature out of it was much more unbearable than inside it, maybe because of his wet skin that the wind was making cold.Still, he began washing his clothes leisurely, taking his time in the task as it was one of the few pairs of clothes he'd brought over. Despite the ripped sleeve, it was still good for wearing, but maybe only for some hard labour work, though, not generally.
