Rhino or T-Rex?

I have a creature suggestion in mind.

I'm not sure which to go for though, I don't want to suggest both at the same time, but I want to know which to do first, if at all.

IDEA 1; (+1)

A desert style T-Rex. It has armour and a cannon/turret on it's back and the armour carries down to it's tail. Yellow glowing eyes. Sandy brown colour skin.

IDEA 2; (+2)

A desert style Rhino. Armour around it's back and quite a few spikes attatched to the armour. Yellow glowing eyes and a yellow orb in the middle of it's helmet. Reddy/purple colour skin.

I don't want to write too much to ruin it, but I'm not sure.
