Shadowstar laughed. "Terribly sorry, Shadykit." Her tail waved behind her. "Hmmm... I wonder who your mentor will be." She winked at the kit turning to Heatherpaw. "And? Just take Shadykit, she could use a bit of adventure."

Featherpelt walked over to Shadowstar. "Are me and Smokepaw out on patrol?" She asked then turned to see Crookedtail snap at Flaretail and leave the camp.

Smokepaw ran up behind his mentor before being tackled by Cinderpaw.

Sharptalon woke up and streched. He kicked Grumpyface in the face on accident. "Sorry." He mummered as his brother tried to bite his leg.

"Yeah well next time be more careful." Grumpyface growled standing up and shoving past Sharptalon and One-ear.

Shadowstar looked ver at Featherpelt. Why on earth was there so many cats talking to her today?! "Just Smokepaw is... I thought I sent Rivertail to get him. Ah well. I'll be seeing you around... I have some apprentices to find." Shadowstar sighed as Stormpaw rushed back into camp with Songpaw close behind. "I'll go gather with the patrol!" Stormpaw mewed, trotting over to the entrance to camp. "Songpaw, do me a favor and go hunt, would you?" Shadowstar asked. Nodding, Songpaw skipped on out of camp to find some food.

Featherpelt nodded. "Go. I'll find you mother." She told her apprentice before bounding out of camp. Following the cats scent trail she made it to hte far border. Looking around she was confused. The cats scent here mixed with so many others. Yet the one scent overlapped them all. It was familar yet she could'nt tell what. Bounding over the border she followed Crookedtail's scent trail until she heard the yowl of a tom. Quickeding her pace she realized what the one scent was. Badger. With no time to lose she ran forward to see a familar white pelt lying motionless on hte ground. Crookedtail was cornered against a tree by the badger. The last thing Featherpelt remembered was throwing her self at the badger as Crookedtail fell under its claws....

Grumpyface followed Featherpelt out of camp. After a while he saw her get carried off by a badger. Thinking fast he ran back to camp almost smashing into Shadowstar. "Shadowstar, a badger killed Crookedtail and took Featherpelt." He gasped.

"Change of plans!" Shadowstar yowled. "Strong warriors, come with me now!" Stormpaw heard her mentor yowl, and bounded over. "Shadowstar! Can I come?"

"No."

"But Shadowstar!"

"Stormpaw, I forbid you. It's a badger. Warriors, now!" Shadowstar bounded away, with quite a few warriors following. "Grumpyface get your pelt over here! Where's the badger?"

Stormpaw frowned. No way. She slunk after the search party.

"We'll recover Crookedtail's body and try to save Featherpelt. Got it?"

Grumpyface nodded leading the way. Over the border and deep into the woods. He ran to where the tortise shell lay. "Then the badger drug Featherpelt that way." He meowed bounding through the crumpled bracked. Small blots of blood showing htem where the badger took Featherpelt.

Flaretail walked up to Shadowstar Cinderpaw and Smokepaw behind him. "I need to get my mate's body." He meowed.

Smokepaw looked at Shadowstar. "Me and Cinderpaw just want to get out mothers body." He meowed.

~Meanwhile~
Featherpelt's nose twitchd slightly. The stench of badger and dirt filled them. She strained to open her eyes and saw only very blurry images before black dots filled her vision again.

"Alright alright!" Shadowstar snapped. "Just hurry and keep up!" She was worn down to the wire as she continued following Grumpyface. Stormpaw crept after the group carefully staying out of sight.

Smokepaw followed Shadowstar with Cinderpaw trailing behind him. He saw his mother's body and nodded to Shadowstar before grabbing her scruff while Cinderpaw grabbed her by the back. The both carried her to hte camp.

Flaretail followed Grumpyface and saw his kits take Crookedtail's body.

Cloudstone bounded after Shadowstar and came to a screeching halt when they arrived at the scene. His eyes glazed over at the sight of the dead cat, then refocused. Featherpelt must be helped.

Heatherpaw nodded to Shadykit. "I think you'd be perfect. Now, I think we'll be fine close to camp with the badger out, we can call and beides.." She wiggled her tail, "I know someone can fight!"

Applepaw sulked. Why did she always stay behind? Was she not important? Why won't they let her?

"Alright, in we go!" Shadowstar yowled, bounding down with her warriors into the den. Stormpaw followed. "Featherpelt?! Someone find Featherpelt!" Shadowstar hissed, hearing the badger lumber towards her.

Cloudstone knew he should go find Featherpelt, but he was hesitant. At last, he decided to take care of the badger, and let someone else find her. After all, there were special people all around him. With a sweep of his paw, he sliced at the badger's nose.

Featherpelt looked up and struggled to stand up as the badger lumbered off to attack her clanmates. She quickly fell down looking at her hind leg she saw it was broken and mangled bleeding and useless. "Shadowstar." She called out feebly her voice faltering.

While the badger was preparing to attack again, Cloudstoe rushed in to scratch it's belly. Sharp, hot claws struck his back before he had time to pull away, and he grit hi teeth to stop the yowl of pain coming.

Featherpelt saw the badger pick up Cloudstone and shake him like a piece of prey. She drug herself up to the badger and sunk her teeth into its back leg.

Cloudstone let out a gasp of relief as the badger let go. "Thanks" He murmured, and dug his claws hard into it's back like it did to him. Payback time! And that way it can't rear up and he could slash at it's face.

Shadowstar yowled and leapt on top of the badger, raking her claws along its back. "Cloudstone, find Featherpelt!" Stormpaw leaped up beside Shadowstar, attacking the badger as well. "Stormpaw!" Shadowstar snarled. "Oh, you're in for it later!"

Cloudstone gave a farewell hit to it's head before jumping off, landing hard on his paws. Straightning his shoulders, he bounded for Featherpelt. "Come on." He hissed. "Get out of here before you're more hurt." He gave her a push with his nose

Featherpelt rolled her eyes. Before Flaretail drug her out of the den. "You ok?" He asked as he drug ehr through the forest.
"Just dnady. Grab the white cat first. I can drag myself back to camp." She meowed as they passed the limp body.

Featherpelt drug her body after Flaretail as he grabbed teh limp white body. She pulled herself into camp after a while and collapsed in the center of the clearing.
