@crazyaboutlove ?! Does each number look more like this;|-1|Because if it does, that's just absolute value. Absolute value is the distance a number is from zero. In this case, |-1|, it's just 1.

@ems I know, but I am absolutely horrible at absolute values and now this is thrown at me by my mom from an Algebra workbook.o.O The minus signs are after the numbers! (My worst nightmare TT_TT)

@crazyaboutlove Hmm... What grade are you in? I don't think that the negative symbol should be after the number. If it is, I think it's either a typo or something I haven't done yet... Sorry if I didn't help! D: GL

@crazyaboutloveWell, let me try to help you. |4-|5||It is not "4-".Its "4 -|5|". (Thats in the end. I hope you understand me. Im not really good at english)So...|4-|5||=|4-5|=|-1||1 -|2 -|3 -|-1| ||| .then |3-|-1||=|3-1|=2|1 -|2 -|2| || .And then |2-|2||=|2-2|=|0||1 -|0||.And then |1-|0||=|1-0|=|1|=1.
