So I have a crush on this boy who I liked since 4th grade.I need to know if he likes me.So he sits next to me everytime he sees me.He smiles at me ALOT.And he jokes with me.

Yare yare. I think the answer depends on his personality, so you'll know if you need to give "subtle" (yes, feel the emphasis) hints or you should just flat-out ask him. The only way to know is to ask, unless he decides to tell you himself. Probably start with the old school question "Do you have someone you like?". That's all I can think of.

I would just ask.
People can act like that and like you as a friend or have a crush on you.
There's really no way to know without asking or him telling you.

Or you could do the other option and tell him you like him.
Sometimes guys like when you're bold and tell them first.
Be confidant.
