I've been browsing through the forums and I'm seeing folks ask for CC to trade.

Here's where I'm confused. I thought the gifting thing was disabled. How would one go about trading CC for an egg or creature?

It's impossible to trade CC now, that's true, but it's still possible to trade for CC items if you get the other person to use them on your pets. Unless it's someone you trust it's best to ask for collateral (a pet of the same value for you to keep while the other user has your pet) and not give payment until you get the pet back with whatever changes had to be made.

TL;DR: It's still possible to trade for CSP items, just not for CC.

It sounds strange to say like I am seeking 3 monthlies for this Flintar.
Or..
Your Tine is worth 40 monthlies. Rather consider the CC value filled up by creatures worth the same value.
Disabling CC gifting doesnt mean that CC goes extinct.

When I ever I look at CC I don't see CC as CC... I see it as real money. 40 monthlies is equivalent to $200. I can't afford to spend that kind of dough on one creature! Now I have traded monthlies for older eggs, but it was for one or two. Once the bills are paid 5-10 bucks is no biggie, but $200? Yikes!

One monthly is $5. I mentioned for the lower staged Tines. As in the frozen first stage Tine/Tine eggs - They're worth around that range, but other creatures like a first stage Draqua, are worth 3-4 monthlies.
Like those creatures, as in the Jester egg which hatches very quickly and are 9 in existence, and the Frogike egg, Ragon egg and Unchaga egg which are very less in number, and there is only one Doovoo egg in existence, and about five Macbot eggs. There are also only two Eyleymo eggs.
In such a world where such less numbers of specific creatures can be found, the demand for them is high.
There are many users who buy CC, in multiples of $25 per month. They can save their CC, and buy a rare creature with combined expenditure of some months.

But a cove, can be achieved with determination, and hard work without requiring to buy even a bit of CC.
My coves @julie and @frosted are just the real end results of my hardwork, and @taisa (currently holding the rest of my creatures) have very coveted creatures and are very rare. I got all of these without even spending a single cent online, I do not believe in the rarity of pixels when money is required. I'd prefer the money instead of buying for such expensive pixels. EC is just too greedy. Wanting very much. $15 for 3 pixels, or $10 for 2 pixels. I know a site where we can get 4 pixels for $2 only. o-o

I didnt mean to start a debate or so. Was telling my own opinions.
If we offered 2 monthlies for a Onny, people would even block us for under offering severely on their creatures. They are high in demand. If we bought a monthly today, and immortalised it (so it doesnt die) then we would get triple of what we paid (or even more) after one year.
