Are we supposed to ping the person before?

Vanessa was a new student, sitting at the back, like all new students do. She came the day before all the sirens went off, and when she heard the sirens, she started screaming, with a major headache. Vanessa is not capable with loud noises, so she fainted.

The next time she woke up, she found herself in an officer's arms, apparently in a private jet. Vanessa looked over to her right, and saw a girl that she recognized. She thought and thought until she remembered the name- Cara. And that was Lily next to Cara. They seemed to be holding an envelope. She reckoned that the envelope probably contained the reason of her here. She was about to walk over to them when the officer spoke up. "Sign this contract, IMMEDIATELY!" Vanessa, without thinking, took the contract and signed her name on it, surrounded by hearts. The officer looked at it happily, and let her free.
Vanessa walked over to Cara and Lily. Cara and Lily noticed her, looked up, and smiled.

@tralala22 Cara bends her neck trying to crack her bones while massaging the side of her ribs, for some odd reason her body is currently feeling beyond sore, she looks up at Vanessa and in a raspy voice she softly replies "Vanessa, I'm so happy to see that you're awake, and what was that contract about? I hope it isn't nothing negative!". Before the jet pulled off, the captain comes on speaker and says "Everyone, we're about to take flight in a few seconds, please have your seat belts on and be prepared, thanks." Cara heart begins to beat rapidly, she looks up at Vanessa and Lily with a terrified look, she then turns around to look out the window, while looking out the window she asks Vanessa and Lily "Are you guys ready for this? I wanna go home already, w-what about our family, what about our friends? Do they know where we are?" she silently waits for a reply while hearing the engine begin.

Cressile sank onto the floor slowly. The sirens had went off, but she'd been as ditzy as ever, and had lost her way. As she was about to turn left, an officer's rough grip curled around her arm.

"Sign here."

He pushed a pen into her hands, and she shakily moved the pen across the page into a scrawly signature. She'd usually make a neater one, but it was so... frightening.

What was going to happen? She'd usually read the contract, but, the officer, he looked so... scary. She quivered slightly.

The officer's facial expression softened slightly, as he gently pushed her onto a vehicle, that looked like a cross between a golf cart and a jeep.

Eventually, she was taken to a private jet, by the looks of it, and pushed towards a group of three girls. She was pretty bad with names, which was partially why she was so shy. The engine was already beginning, but it apparently wasn't too late.

She awkwardly joined the girls - Cara, Lily and the new girl, Vanessa. Lily was holding an envelope.

"H-hello..."

Was all she could say. She was already feeling bright red, and felt like collapsing onto the floor, for the second time today.

Vanessa answers Cara in a breathless voice "I hope so too...". She then stretches her arms and walks over to Cressille. Cressille was staring at Dani who was lying on the floor, sleeping. Vanessa quickly turned and continued speaking to Cara. "What does it say in that envelope?" she asked.
Cara, Lily and Cressille looked up at her and nodded at eachother. Then, they started to answer.

Cressile patted Dani's head gently as she fell asleep.

"U-uh, don't ask me!"

She fumbled and messed up her words again. Oh gawd. She wanted to simply fall onto the floor for the third time today. Instead, she settled for letting her glasses slide onto the floor.

She looked curiously at the envelope, cocking her head slightly, before picking up Dani from the floor and dragging her to a seat.

Oh, bother.

Vanessa looked up at Cressile and then back to Lily and Cara. They carefully opened up the envelope, and to their surprise, they discovered a bright red piece of card that had the word "Death" carved onto it.
Cara looked at the girls and said in a soft tone,
"Awkward."

Cara begins to nevously look around the jet while taking flight, she then sunk into her seat slowly shaking her head, her eyes then begin to form tears and her body grew this layer of coldness, she looked over at Vanessa and softly she says "I don't think, I'll make it here any longer, this, this isn't for me."

Vanessa looked back at Cara and smiled. 😊 Vanessa was a sportsgirl. All she did was adventures, and action. She was up for it. And she knew Cara could do it too, if they worked together.

Vanessa called over all the others, and told them to huddle together.

"You see that envelope?" Vanessa says while pointing at the envelope, "We don't know whats in there. We have NO IDEA about what this kind of journey is. So if we want to stay clueless, dont take my advice. But if we want to do something about it, the first step is to tear open that envelope."

Cara looked at Vanessa, as Vanessa beginned to smiled, Cara puts her hair beside her face as it was in her way and smiled back. "Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, ambition inspired, and success achieve. We shall all work together." Cara suddenly devolped a brave, fearless side, and she decided from now on she was going to use it, the soft emotions must be left behind.

Vanessa was hyped (she often got hyper) because she realized Cara finally got the bravery she needed for this journey.
Suddenly, right when Vanessa was about to pick up the envelope , a huge, gigantic man walked in. He wore a green army suit, and had a stern face on. Vanessa stared at him nervously, wondering if the army guy saw her attempt to pick up the envelope. With sweat raining down her forehead, she stepped forward and spoke up.

"What do you want?"

"I want what is right next to you."
Vanessa looked beside her and saw Cara looking down at the envelope that was locked in a metal case that only Cara had the key to. The case was chained to Cara so no one could take hold of it. And the chain was un-breakable.
"I want it, and now. Pass it over."
Vanessa refused. The soldier grabbed her by the arms and took her away.

"LET ME GO!" Screamed Vanessa. Vanessa could just see the astonished look on Cara and the girls' faces as they struggle to open the locked see-through door heading to where Vanessa was. Vanessa looked down at the hairy arms of the soldier. She just hoped the others wouldn't be the next.
