Since school got out, I've been having a horrifying nightmare often. I'll wake up sweating and crying most of the time. I'm not sure if I should be concerned about it or not.It goes like this: I wake up in a jail cell, with my loved ones in the cells around me. This skinless monster comes by and slaughters each one of my loved ones in front of my face. And when he reaches my cell, I see that I'm looking at a reflection. This monster I'm staring at is in a mirror, and it follows every move I make. And then the candles all went out. When they came back on, I was neatly tucked into a child's bed with a little girl at my bedside. Out of the blue, she attacks me and I shove her off, but she bleeds like shes's been stabbed. And on the wall across from me is the mirror with the monster. And that's when I wake up. It also bothers me that with each dream, I remember the small details more vividly than before. So, tell me - should I be worried about this? Or am I just overreacting? And, does anybody know if this would mean anything?

@whispers Well, I've read some articles on what your dream could be telling you.Has anyone close to you died or is close to dying?
whispers • 25 June 2013 at 9:54 PM
@newlife Nope. All my family & close friends are alive, safe, and healthy.

@whispers Has something stressed you out? Or has something unusual has happened?

@newlife The week before it began happening the most stressful thing that happened to me was finals for some classes. That's really it though.Do you think that getting out of school & being separated from my close friends would be a reason that my closest friends were in my dream along with my family?
newlife • 25 June 2013 at 10:03 PM
@whispers Yes, that actually is a valid reason. Here's my reasoning why this is happening..You're afraid to get cut off with your friends, and you feel, unconsciously, like it's your fault. That's why you become in the monster in the end. You should try to make a meeting place, and meet about every week to every two weeks.

@newlife That makes so much sense. Thanks so much. I suck at interpreting dreams/nighmtares, so you really helped. I hope that getting back together with them will cease the happening of this nightmare. ^^

@whispers Newlife is right. And overreacting? When octopuses get stressed, they eat themselves. That's overreacting.

What books have you read lately? I find out that most of my dreams are somewhat formed from books I've read. For instance (long story short), I was escaping my house, but the guard at the bottom of the stairs shot me with a pistol. I was recently reading a book in which a person is held hostage with a pistol.@whispers

@whispers Here are some theories of why people dream:~Unconscious desires / thoughts /motivations~Previous memories / ideas are activated and the brain wants to interpret these memories, making a story line. ~There may be something happening outside of the dream, such as your alarm clock, so your alarm clock may appear in your dream~ The brain uses dreams to clean the clutter in the mind I don't really think dreams mean anything important, but it could possibly help you connect with your inner thoughts. I'd be so scared if I had a dream like that. 😋

@linpug @whispersI've heard of these theories.I was told a creepy, but yet interesting story by a friend. She said she had the scariest dream ever and explained to me what happened, I don't wanna make it too long, so I'll try to make it short. While she was sleeping; she was sleep in a position that could've led her to death due to her not breathing. She has a brother which is deceased and she suddenly found him in a dream panicking, screaming, banging on her room door saying "get up". I know this story may seem too good to be true, and I don't know if it's true or not, but I wanted to share it. 😊

@fakeworld I hate those dreams were you just fell asleep and then your falling, and suddenly jerk awake.

@linpug I hate those too, lol. The worst one I've had is when I fell off the twin towers, I felt the wind, my heart dropped, everything but before I hit the ground I woke up. 😋 o.o
