#creaturesuggestionHello! This is my newest creature suggestion, the Seapernt! (Not exactly a very original name. If you can think of something better, feel free to say so.)http://i44.tinypic.com/2hhf9n6.pngREDESIGN: http://i40.tinypic.com/2n70fnr.pngAnother design by @gabrieltaft: http://fav.me/d6fkrozEgg descriptionThis egg feels wet and smells like salt... Did it come from the sea?Creature descriptionSeapernt are seabed predators. Their green colour camouflages them, as they hide in seaweed. They attack with the spikes on their tails, which due to their light blue colour are hard to see from a distance. Younger Seapernts aren't very good swimmers, but adults are better due to the fins on their backs. So what do you think? Constructive criticism is welcome.

@indigochan i know how hard making creatures can be and i dont love this creature but its differnt so i like it and hope it gets made!
semo2005 • 13 July 2013 at 8:07 PM
@indigochan I don't exactly like it but it eggcave does only have one snake ope it gets made though
indigochan • 14 July 2013 at 2:30 AM
@semo2005 Just out of curiosity... What is this snake creature you speak of?I chose a snake for this because on my last creature suggestion, people said I should make a creature based on an animal that didn't have many creatures based on it.

@indigochan Hey! I like the creature alot, but the description is short and the creature design is kinda simple, mind if I redraw it and help you with the description? đHere's the re-done description:About Searpent Eggs:This egg looks shiny and beautiful from afar, but if you look at it up close you can clearly see that it is wet and sandy. Be careful handling these eggs, if left in dry or cold environments it may shrivel up!More about the Searpent:Searpantes (plural of Searpent) are a large, snake-like creature that thrives in the tropical waters of Ark. These huge serpents lay their eggs in the cave and when they hatch they somehow migrate to Ark Bay in large groups. While reaching the bay, they make easy prey out of many small fish due to their foolproof camouflage, which looks almost exactly like the seabed.Younger Searpantes are not very good swimmers due to the lack of fins, but the adults quickly dash through the water with their new fins wavering in their wake. The drawings will come soon! ^^ Good luck!~Bot

@bot Woah. That's great! I really need to improve my writing skills...
bot • 28 July 2013 at 1:59 PM
@indigochan No, your writing skills are great! â¤ī¸ I'm working on the drawing!
indigochan • 28 July 2013 at 2:01 PM
@bot Really? Thanks! All of the stories I write seem to end up failing badly. XP
bot • 28 July 2013 at 2:03 PM
@indigochan Haha, no prob. And I'm sure your stories aren't as bad as you say. Mine are terrible! âšī¸
gabrieltaft • 28 July 2013 at 2:20 PM
haha @bot you are the creature description pro!@indigochan I like the idea of a sea serpent creature although it could use some more details (Mouth on the final, more complext fin systems. But I think it would make a good cave creature. And the way they have been doing Cave monthlies so far (Amphibians and Insects) I could def. see it being a cave monthly.
indigochan • 29 July 2013 at 2:11 AM
@gabrieltaft Thanks! I knew it seemed a little basic. X3 Also, snakes are reptiles.
tralala22 • 29 July 2013 at 4:27 AM
@indigochanHmmm.. I do like it! And I love the name!xD
indigochan • 29 July 2013 at 1:52 PM
@tralala22 Really? I thought the name was unoriginal. X3
gabrieltaft • 29 July 2013 at 5:19 PM
@Indigochan I got all inspired by this. Here is a redraw I did for the seapernt. http://fav.me/d6fkroz
tralala22 • 29 July 2013 at 7:23 PM
@indigochanI do love the name. It sounds really smooth, and reminds me of the ocean. Maybe you could do a bit of sea- related stuff on its scales đ
gabrieltaft • 29 July 2013 at 11:17 PM
@bot hey bot I saw you were gonna do some art for the seapernt. I tried my hand at it too. Thought you might be interested.http://fav.me/d6fkroz

Thinking of redesigning this.
karamel • 18 August 2013 at 6:55 AM
@indigochan I think that it's too much like a real serpent. Egg Cave is based more on fictional creatures - either hybrids of multiple creatures (like the Danaus) or an entirely new one (perhaps the Abet). Maybe try adding more strange features. đ¸I'd love to be pinged if/when you redesign it. c:
indigochan • 19 August 2013 at 10:11 AM
I've started the redesign! Hopefully it will be finished soon.
rabbitwanter • 19 August 2013 at 6:09 PM
@karamel ~ but the honk tho@indigochan ~ i think the two stages look a bit too alike... but they are cute!!
indigochan • 9 September 2013 at 12:05 PM
Redesign:http://i40.tinypic.com/2n70fnr.pngI'll add it to the first post...(It says "By IndigoChan (AKA IndigoGear)", because IndigoGear is sort of my new internet name...)
gabrieltaft • 8 October 2013 at 8:07 PM
I like the redesign especially the creature's eyes.
indigochan • 10 October 2013 at 12:12 PM
@gabrieltaft Yeah, I sort of tried to make the eyes look less tiny on the redesign. X3
gabrieltaft • 10 October 2013 at 1:35 PM
@Indigochan Goodjob the fin is a good addition too. Shows the creature is growing up.
indigochan • 14 October 2013 at 1:57 PM
@gabrieltaft I decided to add the fin to make it look more like a sea creature. Or something.
