"Why is my life so complicated?" she wondered out loud, and kicked a soda can.

Name: Aerxes Alona Haviland
Looks: Aerxes has long silver hair cascading down like a waterfall, glimmering in the moonlight. It is brushed to the side, away from Aerxes' large, sparkling eyes of a deep violet. Aerxes is slightly tall and has a fair complexion.
Mermaid looks: Aerxes appearance remains similar, but with a tail the color of the night sky.
Personality: Aerxes is considerate and open towards friends, though slightly shy but still kind around strangers. Though preferring not to use violence and instead hoping to befriend potential enemies, Aerxes is skilled in martial arts and is quite clever and fast, also carrying a katana at all times when in human form. Aerxes is protective of loved ones and has a strong sense of morality, and thus is brave in the face of danger and fairly cheerful despite past events.
Bio: Aerxes became an orphan at a very young age, both parents drowning in the sea after their boat crashed. Instead of drowning, Aerxes morphed into a mermaid and drifted to shore before being found, and was adopted by a coldhearted relative. Aerxes has has no memories of these past events, however, and was raised by this relative who did not want to take in the child in the first place.
