@hathor89i've only been on eggcave for almost 4 months now. when i first started out, i remember how i couldn't even get an aerlo or garo with the creatures in my cove. this was when cc gifting was still available and EC pretty much had no value/buying power.i won't be here much longer so all the creatures that i traded for are with my sister @divine. none of the CSPs were gifts/adopted. i bought CC, traded the april-july CSP monthlies for almost everything you see there. some i bought with EC, like my last stage biwo and brios. they were won from an auction in may for around 9.3mil.now that EC has more buying power, you can get multiples of the currently available CC creatures from someone who accepts EC for CC. just look through the creature trading forum or TC on a regular basis.Frosted accepts ec for cc sometimes herself đ there's also april__, katrabit, hayz...you just have to find the right person to trade with who isn't too attached to their creature. but don't have high expectations if you're after something extremely rare/scarce/valuable like a macbot, gobbler, etc.just takes some time and effort, but it's much more possible now than back when i first joined. so you have a chance. just feed as much as possible and you'll find yourself making 500k a day once you get better at it đ

@hathor89 I feel that it's too risky, as some random player may use the creature just to get EC/CC, BUT...Maybe in the friends list, you could sign the username of who you want to take care of a certain creature, and only they have access to take the creature. That way, it'd be like a will.Daggers- Ribbonz- to @RammsteinPure_Rarity to @AngelWolfeh etc. Maybe that could work c;

@angelwolfeh "I feel that it's too risky, as some random player may use the creature just to get EC/CC" What do you mean by this? ._. I don't understand how sending the creature to the AC automatically would result in them getting EC or CC. Did you mean the AC fee? When would the will come into action? Even if you're inactive for a few months, you might decide to come back. Perhaps if your account was deleted, then yes, although usually accounts are deleted/banned as a severe punishment. If it was deleted as per your request, then you would have traded the creatures away already.
angelwolfeh • 27 July 2013 at 10:11 AM
@karamel I meant like, say if it was a hatched rare that had been abandoned, maybe someone would sell it for EC ect.~
hathor89 • 27 July 2013 at 10:41 AM
@karamel No apologies needed. I overreacted somehow...I do take things personal very easy sometimes. My apologies, too. đWell...now, that I've calmed down a little bit, I thought it over again. What would be classified as "dying"? - Maybe a happiness of 0, like now? Or maybe it could be "changed" that if the user stays away for a certain time (don't know...something about 3 months maybe, just to be sure he'll not return?) the creatures he had would be transferred into the Adoption Center...only some ideas. What's the point of having the Resurrection Stone? - That's a good thing if the user returns. But, I personally would not be able to buy it if my creatures would die...I don't buy CC (yet?^^) and getting it with EC...that would not be funny. What about the abandoning fee? - I also got an idea about that. If it would be taken automatically, from the EC on hand or the EC in the Strongroom, or both, that problem would be solved. But if the user would ever return then...he/she would be surprised...and not positively...but that's his own fault then...@olimptSomehow to me it was...I took the critics personally. I can be very stubborn sometimes. And always am sorry afterwards. đ@jemmie No, they're not...but you can get attached to them as well. I got some creatures I would never ever give away. For nothing. You could offer me 100 million EC and I still would say no. And somehow I feel sorry for every single one that is left for death by it's owner...so that's why I thought about this. Kepping these creatures inside the system and alive.@angelwolfehThat's quite a good idea. That way the creatures would still be available and taken care of and those persons who otherwise would stalk the Adoption Center wouldn't have a chance.@topicI had thought about something like an option in your profile settings you could activate or not. So you could decide if you wanted your creatures free for everyone if they would die or just let them die. Of course the fee...would have to be taken if you would want to give them into the AC insted of dying. But anybody who quitted and never returns wouldn't have a problem with that. đ
karamel • 27 July 2013 at 1:34 PM
@hathor89 Nah, I think I was the one who got a little stubborn and overly-critical. I tend to take things personally, too, and I completely understand if you were offended. ><"Please know that the only reason I comment in suggestion topics is so that I can voice my opinion and that the questions I ask are so that a) I know more about the suggestion and b) I could perhaps add to the suggestion. đ¸"Maybe a happiness of 0, like now? Or maybe it could be "changed" that if the user stays away for a certain time (don't know...something about 3 months maybe, just to be sure he'll not return?) the creatures he had would be transferred into the Adoption Center..." -- Wouldn't the creature(s) be dead by then (in 3 months or with a happiness of 0)? D: And 3 months seems a little short for me; maybe a year? There's still a chance of the user coming back, although the chances are slim. Perhaps an email regarding inactivity could be sent to the user warning about their creatures being sent to the AC if they don't login soon?Oh, another thought: side accounts. I have no idea how regularly people log into their side accounts because I don't actually own one, though.I see your point about the Resurrection Stone. I feel like CSP items should be transferrable (like travels), like us trading CSP creatures, so that at least people who can't buy CC can still use the items by trading. "I also got an idea about that. If it would be taken automatically, from the EC on hand or the EC in the Strongroom, or both, that problem would be solved." What if they don't have EC in either? ><@yournewsuggestionIf the suggestion was implemented, then yes, I would /love/ that option to be added. đAnyone who quits and is determined to never return /usually/ trades away their creatures to close friends (although there are some users that don't want to trade their Tines/Onnies to close friends), but yes, this option would be great. đwhew huge post kudos to you if you read all of it. c:

@hathor89 Okay, not here to bash the idea. I personally don't like it for all the reasons everyone else has said. But allow me to quote you here when you were talking about why you don't like immortality."You got a pet. You grow it up, you teach it to care for itself and then you abandon it. How does this pet feel? Lonely, abandoned, sad...and it surely wishes really badly to get some attention. From anybody."Let me see here.... They are pixels.I'm not saying that you shouldn't care at all.But they are pixels. We don't need to take it into the real world. And that's all I came to say. XD I know this isn't at all related, if I get in trouble for being off-topic it's on me. đ I just had to put that out there.
hathor89 • 27 July 2013 at 1:51 PM
@karamel Don't have the time to answer to all, gonna do it on monday. đ But I already read all.But with the side accounts: log out, log in into the side account, do whatever there, log out there and log in into the main account...or using two different browsers. I just made one today, because I want them cave monthlies I stole for trade to stay eggs, in case they are worth something in half a year or so. đ Or just some newbies coming around and wanting one.^^
kollais • 28 July 2013 at 6:06 AM
@hathor89 I've fed and saved many dying coves. Like 30-40. And nearly half of owners returned, nearly 10 after a year off. And they're playing now. Sometimes real life keeps us really busy. And why my creatures have to be given to somebody else, if they're dead and I'm too busy for internet. When I'm back, I can use Resurrection Stone.
hathor89 • 29 July 2013 at 4:32 AM
@kollaisIf you had read a little more you would've seen that I already mentioned I thought it over and thought it could be like an option in your profile settings to activate or not. And that I really liked the idea of a "will", so you could say "if it would die and I'm not there, give this creature automatically to xyz".Why I opened this topic is the question: how likely is it for some teenage kid to return after being away a month or even longer? And how likely is it that this teenage kid could revive all of the creatures that died? Since the Ressurrection Stone calls back "only" one creature? Two stones are 5$. Let's say a cove as big as mine dies, all creatures inside retired. About 80 creatures. Thats 40 x 2 stones, 200$. Whoose parents allow their child to spend that lot of money to an online game? And who else, who can decide himself would do this? I couldn't afford it. Could you?And if life keeps you busy there's always 5 minutes of time to book Tim for anther up to 75 days. That's not too expensive, too. Certainly much less expensive than buying Ressurrection Stones.@karamel It's alright, I wanted opinions here. And ideas to improve mine.Yes, the creatures would be dead. But therefore we got topics where people tell about dying coves and feed them. Or an automatic revive...though that's not very likely to be done.3 months a little short? Okay...I would certainly not return after that long time. But people all are different, luckily.^^Your idea about an email regarding inactivity seems very good to me. Is there no such thing here already? Most pages got this function, it's a must-have for me.With the side accounts I overread this "regularly". đ That's a good question. I have no idea, too. But if you create one, you should always look after the creatures there. In my opinion...which is not the opinion of many people in most cases. đI didn't even know CSP items are not transferrable. I learned a lot in this topic. đ But then, yeah, they should become transferrable. I mean, all those freezes people want...I wouldn't like to send my creature to somebody to get it frozen and maybe never get it back...then I'd rather have it's evolution continuing, even if I liked an earlier stage better than the last. Could be a source of money, too for this page...I'm sure that more people would freeze their creatures when they don't have to send them away for this any more...if there would be enough people buying and reselling." What if they don't have EC in either? ><" That's a problem, indeed. If they had debts and returned, I feel like most people would be upset and quit then...don't know...Thank you very much for this positive feedback on my "new" idea. đWhew, huge post, too.^^
tralala22 • 29 July 2013 at 4:44 AM
@hathor89I'm with the idea.đ because it's very nice of you to think of that and it would be cool if we could adopt stuff. đ
karamel • 29 July 2013 at 7:28 AM
@tralala22 But we can already adopt stuff. The only difference this will make is perhaps causing drama and being able to adopt /more/ stuff (and, potentially, more /rare/ stuff).@hathor89 "But therefore we got topics where people tell about dying coves and feed them. Or an automatic revive...though that's not very likely to be done." Both of those things defeat the purpose of having an AC or even implementing this suggestion, though. Automatic revive is very unlikely."Okay...I would certainly not return after that long time." Some people take hiatuses, which is why I suggested something like half a year. I much prefer an email about inactivity and then a link you could click on to "renew" your activity without having to login and stuff? I have no idea. >< I'm trying to work around the situations but summer holidays have turned my brain into mush."But if you create one, you should always look after the creatures there." Some people create side accounts to store immortals, etc, so they don't have to worry about the immortals in their cove."If they had debts..." Technically, if we have interest for a positive amount of money in the strongroom, then we should have interest for debts (negative amounts) of money in the strongroom too ("debt interest). Think of the people with 100 creatures in their cove. How are they going to pay their debt? They will probably quit because a) their creatures won't be given back unless the new owners are especially kind and b) they have a /huge/ fee to pay off.I'm trying to make your idea able to work for /everyone/ and not /just/ the people you had in mind (which is just a small selection of our vast community). đ

@hathor89The new invention of the Resurrection Stone denies the need for such a suggestion. It is the fact, that there are mortal Tines, of which people bought them for about $50. Due to their carelessness, they loose their creature. They need to use up a $2.5 to revive it. Thats their fault. But losing the whole creature and seeing it with someone who doesnt deserve it, or is being proud/boastful over it - its just too much.Creatures die, thats reality. If you dont feed a small puppy who lives in the woods, it would die. But if its a large and fit dog, it can get food for its own, and there is no need for someone to feed it (talking about those stray dogs). Similarly, the immortality concept was in EggCave. One cannot maintain their creatures all the time. Everyone has a life as well.If someone's rare creature as a Tine, Macbot, Doovoo, Onny or Nym is gone, then they're gone with that as well. They'll might as well adopt out their creatures and poof! They'll never come back for such a site that resells out pixels (for free) to people who just stalk the AC, and get lucky. While those who spend money, suffer. This is an atrocity against the CC buyers. The CC gifting disablement was already a upliftment for the non-CC buyers and if this was also granted then, whats the use here? The people who use their money, get the longer end of the rope, not the shorter end. Those people who just sit and yonder around EC, and never spend any money, aren't meant to get this for granted. This is an uprising, already when the EC value increased, if they want more, its called pure greediness. Be happy with what you got. This is not a free soup mission, eh?Every site has its own policies. No ONE would be able to convince Ian for such a suggestion. I can guarantee that Ian would never do such a suggestion, even if the site is bound to close.Just because people are too lazy to endure the pain to get the gain, that doesnt mean that they can get everything for granted. Its already too much. Another revolt in EggCave should be avoided. Now I just need some wishlist creatures, and I'm done. Thats the fact that if Solises were in the Cave, then their value would be less than 250CC.While I am paying more than 2500 for one.Thats the fact, of paying for pixels.I do not support this idea, sorry.
hathor89 • 2 August 2013 at 8:39 AM
@frosted I see your point. It was just an idea...I see most people are against it. I'm only a newbie here who has seen something and didn't like it and wanted to see if it would be possible to change. I see it seems to be impossible...What about my second suggestion that it could be an option in the profile settings to activate or not? Or the suggestion about a "will", so the creatures would be given to close friends? What do you think about that? Would that be better?
Deleted • 2 August 2013 at 9:34 AM
@hathor69No offense over this idea/Sorry if I insulted you (I kinda talk in that way, but if you assumed)..Wills are according to someone's personal desire. I am currently making my will.
hathor89 • 5 August 2013 at 4:12 AM
@frosted Nono, you didn't insult me. I'm simply a little tired and see the problem(s) with my idea.Is a will possible? Or is it only something people write in their profile or a profile of one of their creatures? And could you please tell me what you think about the "profile-settings"-idea? So you could switch on or off as you like that your (mortal) creatures shall be transferred to the adoption center when they reach happiness 0 (which is when they would die).Since you seem very familiar with the possibilities and chances that it would be done, I would really like to know what you think about this idea.
karamel • 5 August 2013 at 5:40 AM
@hathor89 "Is a will possible? Or is it only something people write in their profile or a profile of one of their creatures?"Wills are not officially part of Egg Cave and I don't really expect them to be, as Egg Cave doesn't really 'welcome' the quitting of users. đ If this suggestion was actually implemented, I would really support the profile settings addition. c:
hathor89 • 5 August 2013 at 5:53 AM
@karamel Thank you. So a will is kind of senseless...because if you write down somebody is to get this and that creature, nobody can do it, am I right?Yeah, I think my first idea was just not possible. But if you could switch it on/off, you would still have the choice and decided you could live with not being able to revive "your" creatures after a longer hiatus without booking Tim's (long enough). Which is not really an option for everyone because not everyone is able or willing to spend money...or as much money as neccessary. And if you really want to come back, you should (in my opinion) always have enough EC and time to quickly book Tim's for as long as you think you might be away. There is always a way to quickly go online to do it.
