@cutebirdy79 @onyx @quillbunny @ilovedoctorwho @kurochi-akumaClive scowled. The girl was afraid. She was bedraggled, too, upon closer observation. She looked like she had been running through the tunnels for days on end. Who knew- maybe she had been for all Clive knew. But he did know that she certainly didn't look like a threat. In fact, Clive believed that she thought him more scary than he thought her. He almost laughed at the thought.Stepping out of the door, Clive walked up to the girl, and finally, he saw her red eyes. So she was a Solrok. If she were human, she'd have been albino. And albinos didn't have dark hair. So Clive wouldn't be getting an extra boost of energy today.Sighing, Clive reached out to the girl. She hadn't even finished her sentence, and he had begun to worry. Maybe something was wrong. Clive didn't want anyone dying in front of his house."Maybe you should come in," Clive suggested softly, holding out a hand.

@onyx Can I still join?
kurochi-akuma • 20 August 2013 at 9:55 AM
@marinalily --She stared at his outstretched hand for what seemed like minutes on end. He was another Solrok. She couldn't tell from the way the light shined on him before, but as he moved closer the shine of his golden eyes gave him away. Her body was still shivering; partially from the cold of being in water most of her life and partially from still the distrust she had towards him. He didn't seem like the type to hurt people, but everyone could put on the 'nice act' once in a while."...Um..." She said again, very softly, staring intently at the hand as if it was going to bite her.Slowly, she reached out her moist hand and placed it in his outstretched one. He didn't feel warm, much to her disappointment, but his hands did have a nice feel to them. Something she couldn't describe- or well...didn't know how to, that is.

@cutebirdy79 @onyx @quillbunny @ilovedoctorwho @kurochi-akumaClive felt the girl place her hand in his, and he smiled fleetingly before slowly tugging the girl back towards the house."I'm not going to hurt you," Clive said, still quiet. It seemed that noises in the abandoned town just seemed too loud when nobody else was making any. It was part of the reason Clive never ventured out, for the silence reminded him of many things.Things like the lives he'd taken, his strange powers, and as much as he hated to admit it, his loneliness at times.Clive paused at the door. He hadn't really thought of the state of his house. To anyone else, it probably was strange, fragile. He just hoped the girl wouldn't suddenly throw tantrums or something, or Clive might just have to throw her out or lock her in a bedroom by herself. What if... what if she didn't like it? What if she thought it ugly, broken, or a nuisance? That, Clive concluded, was probably worse than a few broken gears. Gathering himself together, Clive decided to give the girl some warning first. "Uh," he began. Not a good start. "My house is a bit... strange. Different." Clive blew out a breath. "Just thought I'd warn you," he finished lamely. With that, the Solrok pushed open his door, giving a clear view of the interior of his house. His beloved cogs and pistons, engines and wheels, teapots and kettles, all placed together with an intricacy that showed how long he had worked on them.Turning back to the door, Clive pushed it closed, pulling a rope that caused a few gears to spin over the door and lock into place. If anyone tried to smash through his door, Clive suspected they would have a hard time."I was just getting lunch," Clive said, dashing to the kitchen, remembering his toast still in the toaster, but not before throwing a, "Take a seat somewhere!" over his shoulder as he went, grabbing a plate and quickly pulling out his slightly burned toast from the toaster.
kurochi-akuma • 20 August 2013 at 12:45 PM
@marinalily --He had to pull her the first few steps when he began to walk back to his house. Her feet didn't want to move, so it took her a bit to start walking again. It didn't take her long to follow him, though. She clutched onto three of his fingers, starting with his middle finger and down to his pinky, as they walk, since her hands were a lot smaller than his. He stopped at his door for some reason. He seemed to be thinking about something, which caused her to tense up and pull back a bit. So she wouldn't go into complete panic, she decided to focus on something to keep her mind occupied. Her eyes wandered around her surroundings and fell on the cave-like ground under their feet. It was a dark tan color and very dry looking. There were a lot of dirt and dust particles on top of it, just barely visible to the naked eye. "Uh..." She heard him say. She snapped out of her daze and looked up at him. He was about to say something to her, though, she didn't know about what. He explained that his house was a bit strange and that it was different from normal ones. Not that she remembers any normal houses in her life. She gave him a slow nod to show that she understood. He opened up his door and led her inside of the house, closing the door in such an odd, but creative, way. Her eyes went wide again when she saw the inside of his house, but it was not out of fear, more out of amazement and curiosity. It was such a cool place. No matter where she looked there were all sorts of little trinkets and gadgets all around the house. She never seen anything like it.She felt him pull his hand out of her grip. She looked up and saw that he was quickly jogging to another room. Before he left, he told her to take a seat anywhere she wanted. As much as her legs wanted her to sit, she was too occupied with watching the machines dance around and make all sorts of noises. She walked around the room he had her in, holding her hands together in front of her as she walked. "Did...You make all of this?" She asked him, though he probably couldn't hear her. Her voice was a bit rough sounding and low. She hadn't spoken for years. In a way, it was nice to hear the sound of her own voice again.

@kurochi-akumaHis food was burnt. The result of unsupervision for a time, Clive supposed. The sausages were charred on one side but well-cooked on the other, and his water had just begun to splash out of the pot he was boiling it in before Clive had turned off the stove.Arranging the toast and meat just so, Clive then poured out the steaming water into a cup. Gaze landing on the nearest teabag box, Clive fished out a few leaves, placing them in the water and pulling out a spoon from where it was cached in the wall.Taking his time stirring the tea, Clove looked for a fork and knife, finding them conveniently side-by-side on the wall across from him. He strode over and pulled them out as well, watching as that caused a few gears to groan and turn in reaction to the motion.Ah. He had almost forgot- Clive had someone else in the house. And she looked like she could use a meal -albeit burnt- more than him.Walking into the room, Clive noticed with dismay that she wasn't sitting, but rather standing, surveying his walls, with all its ropes and pulleys."Yes, I did make them," Clive said, coming to stand beside the girl, still carrying the food. "When I came out here I had... a lot of time on my hands." Clive chuckled humourlessly."Come sit," Clive said, gesturing to a table filled with papers askew and books. Walking towards the table, he huffed as he sweeped all the items into a messy pile, depositing them on the floor. He'd clean that up later. "Would you like some lunch?"
kurochi-akuma • 20 August 2013 at 3:03 PM
@marinalily --"It's really amazing." She said, still awing over all the different stuff in just this room. When he asked for her to take a seat, she decided to do so this time. She felt a little more comfortable that he was here and knew she wouldn't mess anything up if he told her where to sit. She nodded and walked over to the table he went by. She watched him brush off all of his papers and books on the desk into a pile on the floor, not seeming to care if they got crinkled or damaged. "Mm, yes." She replied to his question about lunch and smiling politely while doing so.She decided to take a seat on a old wooden chair he had nearby the desk. It had a worn down flower designed cushion on it, so it wasn't that uncomfortable for her to sit on. Her bare feet were just happy to finally get some rest. She looked over at him to see what he was serving for lunch and wondered what it would taste like. She hadn't eaten food in awhile, so this was a real treat!
marinalily • 20 August 2013 at 5:39 PM
@kurochi-akuma Clive smiled bashfully, a slight blush on his face. "Well, uh, thanks," he said. "It's not really much... but I can show you more of the things I've made later, if you want."Pulling out a chair for himself, Clive noticed that he really had only made food for one. Were they to half it? Or should he just give the food to the girl? She was scrawny and bedraggled. She needed the food more than he did. Clive reminded himself to ask about her life after the more important matter of food was settled. He didn't even know her name."I'm not hungry," Clive said gruffly, looking away and pushing the food along with the mug of tea across the table. "You have it. I can wait until dinner or fix something for myself later."
kurochi-akuma • 20 August 2013 at 6:45 PM
@marinalily --"Would you?" She asked, excitement in her voice. There was more than just this? It was hard to believe. Her excitement quickly subsided when she thought about why he had so many inventions. 'He must have been really lonely to make all of this stuff.' She thought to herself, the smile leaving her face. She looked down at the table and clenched her hands into fists on her lap. Oh no, what if she did something wrong by acting excited by his inventions? What was he going to do? She gulped down a lump in her throat, too afraid to look up at him. There was a sliding of metal coming towards her and she briefly looked up to see a steaming plate of toast and sausage in front of her. Another sliding noise and she could then see a cup of some dark brown liquid next to the plate. She quickly looked up, her red eyes meeting his golden ones. "Oh no, I couldn't!" She pleaded, "You worked so hard to make this yourself and really I'm not that hungry. Please eat! You're used to eating and I promise I will be alright!" She inhaled, taking a deep breath to calm her nerves, then looked back down at the table, leaving an awkward silence between them.
marinalily • 20 August 2013 at 6:59 PM
@kurochi-akuma "Yeah," Clive said, suddenly nervous. "I guess I could, sometime." Really, he wasn't all that thrilled anymore. Now that the adrenaline of a new, strange person had died down, Clive realized that he could've made a mistake. What if she was dangerous? Needless to say, Clive was mentally scolding himself for being so open. At least he was safe this time.Looking at the girl, Clive noted that she was terribly frightened by everything that he did. Or frightened of what he might do. He had no intention of hurting anyone, though, nor did he have the strength or tools to do any valid damage to anything besides raw materials.Except maybe the girl. She looked skinny enough to break with just a puff of breath, even though Clive knew that she had been through much more than a mere breeze. And she was in no position to refuse his offer of food."If it makes you feel any better," Clive said, breaking the silence. "I was probably going to make something else anyways." That was a lie though. The girl was right. He wouldn't have wasted his work. But the girl needed to eat, or Clive was afraid she wouldn't be dying in front of his house this time, but rather inside of it.
kurochi-akuma • 20 August 2013 at 8:41 PM
@marinalily --She raised her gaze from the table to the food on the plate in front of her. It looked absolutely delicious and smelled even better than she had imagined. Taking his word for it, she cautiously reached out a hand and grab a piece of slightly burnt toast off the plate. She straightened her back up against the wooden chair and brought the slice towards her pink lips, before taking a small bite off the end of it. She chewed it in her mouth for a bit, taking in its dry flavor. It could use something on it, but she couldn't recall what. Still, it was alright she supposed. She put it back on the plate and decided to try the sausage next. She picked up the fork next to the plate between her fingers and jabbed at one of them, stabbing it straight through without much effort. She tasted it. It was definitely better than the toast. It had a nice juicy flavor to it, making it almost melt right inside of her mouth. "You're a good cook." She noted, putting down the half eaten sausage on the plate and reaching her hand for the cup of brown liquid. She smelled it. Seemed alright. She brought the cup up to her lips and took a sip out of it. Instantly, she pull it back from her mouth, letting out a squeak of pain. "Hot!" She exclaimed, setting it back down on the table. She held a hand to her lips, massaging the burn the was starting to form on her upper lip. 'Why would he give me a hot drink with hot food?' She thought, staring over at him with a slightly hurt gaze.
marinalily • 20 August 2013 at 10:21 PM
@kurochi-akuma Watching the girl eat, even though cautiously, made Clive smile with a fondness that he suspected came from the part of his mind that held a liking for other people and their well-being.Smiling a bit broader and brighter after she had complimented his cooking, Clive merely shrugged. "It's the only thing I can cook," he said. "And I don't get out a lot, so when I do, I have to make sure the food I eat slowly can be stored for a long time. Like the sausage."Clive stopped talking there, thinking of the days every once in a while when he would venture out and kill a few animals, steal a few ingredients, harvest a bit of leaves for tea. Thus, Clive had a.. special blend of tea, a unique tasting sausage, and handmade bread. Thank goodness that the water usually didn't slack off in the house."I don't think you should-"Clive almost burst out laughing when he saw the girl's reaction to the scalding hot tea before his brows furrowed in concern. He didn't expect that to happen, especially when she had been eating so carefully earlier."Sorry, sorry," Clive said. "I just wasn't expecting company in the first place, and tea always soothes me. Would you like me to get you something cold?"
kurochi-akuma • 21 August 2013 at 12:27 PM
@marinalily --She nodded, "Yes, thank you."There was still a prickling pain in her lip from the small burn, but she tried to ignore it as best as she could. She went back to eating the juicy sausage still on her plate. She ate almost all of what was in front of her by the time the guy had returned with something cold for her to drink. --*for some reason doesn't know what else to add* Wow...That's a first. lol

@kurochi-akuma Don't worry- you need to take a break from all those gigantic long posts. Connect with your inner novice RPer. (Or your inner laziness) xDClive got up, pushing his chair back with a small scraping sound as he meandered off to the kitchen. Grabbing another cup from the wall, Clive inspected it, finding that there was a small chip on the bottom. Oh well. He would have to warn the girl then.Placing his cup on a surface that jutted from the pulleys and strings, Clive pulled on one of the ropes, causing his pitcher to lower and splash water into the cup below.Satisfied, Clive grabbed the now filled cup, and walked back to the table with the girl, who had finished almost all of his lunch.Blowing out a breath, Clive fell onto his chair, pushing the cup of normal water over and exchanging it for his tea, never mind that the girl had taken a sip from it. Tea was tea, no matter what had happened to it, and Clive was already running low on that.Pulling the mug close, Clive wrapped his hands around the warm surface and peered over the rim of the cup at the girl. "Watch yourself," he said. "There's a chip in the bottom of the cup."
kurochi-akuma • 21 August 2013 at 2:57 PM
@marinalily Nuhhh...I can't be lazy! ;A; Haha. Yea, I've been writing book-long posts lately. lol--The girl carefully picked up the cup, adhering to his warning and sipped down the cold water. She could feel the coolness run down the back of her throat and go all the way down to her stomach. It felt really good. She finished the cup off in several gulps, then placed it back on the table gently. She thanked the man for his kindness. Just then the conversation seemed to plunge back into its awkward silence from before. She didn't really know what to say to him. Should she ask anything? No, that would be too rude of her. He was already so very kind to her. Puzzled by what to do, she sat quietly and stared at her lap, waiting for him to do something or take the lead.
marinalily • 21 August 2013 at 8:03 PM
@kurochi-akuma You can be! Because lazy for you is like, four paragraphs instead of eight. You write so much. oAoClive watched the girl down the water quietly, sipping his tea and relishing the warmth it delivered to his hands and down his throat. He guessed the girl was probably feeling the same, save that she was probably feeling coolness instead of warmth. The young man smiled when he was thanked. "It's really no problem," Clive said, then lapsed into silence when he realized the girl was still uncomfortable."So," Clive said, pushing himself to begin talking as to cover and end the awkward quiet that was between them. "I'm Clive. I live here, make stuff. Not to mention, I'm a Solrok. I also tend to kill stuff."The guy in question raised his mug in a loose, mock salute from his seat at the small table across from the girl. In truth, Clive was a bit frightened of how easily he admitted to being a murderer. Sure, it was who he was and he couldn't help it if he wanted to keep on working with his parts, but it was best if Clive didn't dwell on it.Plus, the girl was a Solrok herself. She would probably think of him as some kind of wimp or something. That wasn't desirable, considering they had just met and he still didn't know a thing about her.

@onyx Dude... Dude, I'm really sorry you gotta deal with all this here on your own, but I'm... gonna skip ^^" 'cause of reasons. Obvious ones >.>
kurochi-akuma • 25 August 2013 at 10:56 AM
@jupiter_hollow - I don't think onyx is on anymore. o:@marinalily - I really don't know why that is. I couldn't write to save the life of me, but I guess when it comes to RPing literately...I like to make sure I'm painting a really good picture in people's minds. ^^; lol--"I'm...Serenity. I don't remember much of where I came from or who I am, but I know I hurt people." She said, tensing up at the last sentence, "And I want to hurt them."She turned her head to the side and looked up the wall at all the pulleys along it. "I try not to, but some instinctual thing tells me to. It tells me I need to feel warm. So without another thought, I steal their warmth and don't think another thing about it." She looked over at Clive then. "You said you tend to kill things too, right? Do you..." She paused, trying to find the right way to word it, "Kill them because you need to, as well?"
onyx • 25 August 2013 at 11:10 AM
@kurochi-akumaHi,sorry i really wasn't here for a long time, i thought this RP was dead so i had no reason to check on it. I haven't really read through all of you're posts but i have found a few ummm..... should i call them mistakes, in the posts i did read.Honestly i intended to ask the mods to shut down this RP but i don't feel that would be alright now that i know you and @marinalily are still posting.
kurochi-akuma • 25 August 2013 at 12:13 PM
@onyx - It's fine! 😸 Um, few things wrong? Elaborate? And, you can shut it down if you want, but I really liked the idea behind it, so... o:
jupiter_hollow • 25 August 2013 at 12:15 PM
@onyx they're literally doing a one x one in here so they can take it to PM ^^ and you can then close the RP.
onyx • 25 August 2013 at 12:56 PM
@kurochi-akumaThe main mistake i noticed is that both you're characters seemed to be feeding only off of humans, i mean i said Solroks drain the heat out of all object that are warm. Also, its an abandoned city the only people there are located in one area so it could be very possible that they never even came across a human while they were there. In some moments they seem to know more than they could or should in the situation but its not important. If you guys want to turn this into a oneXone then go ahead, i thought of using the idea somewhere else but you can still continue RPing it i guess.
kurochi-akuma • 25 August 2013 at 1:05 PM
@onyx - Naw, I don't do well one on one and it gets sorta annoying in pms. I'll stick with the forums. Nice idea though. Feel free to close.
onyx • 25 August 2013 at 1:09 PM
@kurochi-akumaAlright, thanks.
