Kana was padding out of a riverbed where he had just cleaned himself up when he caught a scent he thought he knew. He bounded toward it and found Gressile being the scent her had smelled. He didn't recognize her but knew the scent. He barked out, "Stop that running! What're you going after?" Kana began to growl as he didn't want to let his guard down around a possible stranger. He liked to think he owned the territory he was in. He puffed out his chest to make him seem bigger than he already was. He was ready for whatever came at him.

Gressile turned around immediately when she heard someone scream. She looked to her left and saw some wolf, who screamed at her. "Oh, I am just looking for a little cub that seemed to be in danger. No problem, I'm not going to disturb you." Gressile smiled, hoping that the strange wolf would too.

Keeping his stand, Kana listened to the other wolf. His ears perked up and he softened when he found out what she had been doing. Stepping only a few inches closer, Kana looked at her curiously. He had the strangest sense like he knew her. It had been so long since he had seen anyone he had recognized. Wanting to find out who this was, Kana spoke up, "Then I will come with you." Kana liked the nice demeanor of the wolf before him. "That is, if you will allow me."

Amber awoke when she could here two wolves talking in the distance. "Really you have to talk now. I was sleeping so well" Amber said to herself as she ran towards the wolves. When she was close she climbed a tree and watched from above. As Amber watched the wolves, that were from a different clan than her, she couldn't help but growl. 'I hope that didn't blow my cover' Amber thought.

The other wolf seemed to reply. But she couldn't really hear. Walking a bit closer, in a hurry, she heard what the other wolf had said. "Oh, sure. You can. Umm... Yeah." Gressile replied.
When Gressile turned around, she heard a faint growl. "Strange." She thought to herself. She looked to her right, and it seemed like the other wolf also heard it. Sniffing, she smelt another wolf close by. She whispered to the wolf next to her. "I think someone's following us..." She growled.

Kana found it strange when the other wolf seemed to blow him off. But then he understood when he heard the same thing she did. His defenses were back up and he was beside the other wolf. He started a low growl himself as he pointed to the direction of the tree that they heard the noise. "Following us? We haven't gone anywhere for that to happen... yet. I think we are being watched..." He said this back to her in a whisper. Then, Kana barked out to the trees around them "Come out coward! Show yourself!"

"Awww he is a smart one isn't he" Amber growled as she jumped from tree to tree. Then she jumped out of the tree and landed behind them. "Boo" she growled. "Well y'all are clan wolves aren't you" Amber growled as she got into an attack stance.

Gressile gave back a "Maybe." She joined the other wolf, heading to the tree. She could see that the other wolf was brave. "He's probably a whole lot older than me. I shouldn't feel guilty of my useless ability." She thought to herself, shaking her fur. Gressile went to the other side of the tree, and started growling. Suddenly, she caught a glimpse of white fur. "She must've ran away, while we were talking." Gressile sniffed, "I think we'd better go for now. We might see her later. " suddenly she remembered everything. "The pup! He's still in danger!" She panted.

"Yes you will hurt me but what if I promise not to hurt you" Amber said he her serious growl. Then she jumped down any ways and shook her fur. "Well I'm Amber" Amber said. 'Why am I being nice to them there clan wolves' Amber thought after she had introduced herself.

Turning around to the other wold who had been up in the trees, Kana responded with a low growl still in his throat, "None of us are clan wolves. Not anymore. Except the FireStorm clan maybe." Kana wished he could find his old clan again. StarDusk clan. Bringing it back together would be glorious. Kana then looked to the other wolf beside him whom was cowering. "We can't worry about the pup now. We must deal with this problem." he knew the instinct to run, but he wasn't going to give into it easily. Realizing the tree wolf was probably just scared, once again, Kana softened and spoke to the other wolf, "Fine we won't hurt you. Come on out, wolf and tell us your name." Then he turned back to the other wolf. "We must give her a chance. She hasn't done anything wrong to us."

After learning her name, Kana stepped forward and said, "I am Kana."

'I wish it would snow' Amber thought as she looked at the sky. "Well I'm not a clan wolf either but I like to pretend I am and I would love to do that" Amber said still staring at the sky.

Eyes going wide, Kana now did remember this wolf! Gressile! He remembered her faintly. She was part of the clan he had been in. He wasn't anymore, but he hadn't known the StarDusk clan had reunited. His voice rose up in excitement, but then he kept his mouth shut. Joining the clan again will result in more corruption throughout the valley. They needed peace back in their homeland. Kana knew he needed to remain a lone wolf for the time being. Or as long as he could. He needed to find a way to retain the peace.
"I was a clan wolf. That was a long time ago.." Kana looked up at the sky with Amber. What was so important up there? Looking down again he wasn't sure on the idea of making a new clan. "Are you sure that would be wise? There is already so much corruption within clans. We need to make peace again." Kana frowned and dug his paw into the grass.

"Kana? Were you about to say something? Why did your voice rise up like that?" Gressile looked at Kana. A few seconds later she heard a sniff. "Guys, did you hear that?"

She turned around, shook her fur and ran.

Shaking his head, Kana thought that Gressile was too positive. It was admirable, but could get her into a lot of trouble. Especially if she just wanted to start her own clan with some strangers out of the blue. "We can talk about this clan business after we find the puppy." Kana shook his fur when he felt water touching him. Although he was one to bathe often, he still didn't like the water as much. "So lets get going. Lead the way, Gressile, as you were the one who heard the cry."
Before he could even get a reaction for Gressile she was off. Kana shook his head again and waited for a response from Amber. This was a bit ridiculous now. So much running around. He should have just stayed in his riverbed.

Amber looked at Kana. "I love the coldness of the rain but that doesn't matter right now. Lets go get that puppy" Amber said. Then she ran after Gressile.

Regretting his own decisions, Kana shook again to try and get the rain to stop getting onto him before he ran off after both Amber and Gressile. He knew this probably wouldn't end well. it was his own fault for getting mixed up in this.

Mist wakes up on a patch of snow in her den. She stands up and shakes her fur to get the snow off. Mist walks up of the den and slides down a icey slope. Once she gets to the bottom, she realizes she's starving. Mist softly walks around, not making a sound, looking out for something to eat.

FireStar walks back to her den, hopping that she would not be chosen. *night sinks morning rises* All members of the FireStorm clan go to the center of their camp to see who gets chosen. The leader walks up to a podium and says "The leader of the scout group is FireStar. The others are NightFlare, Shear, and JadeFire. You must go out to scout now!!!" 'Why me?!?!?!?!?!?!' FireStar thought to herself. She then joined with her group and they headed down the mountain side.
