In this RP, you play a new student at Hogwarts. It takes place during the present (2013.) I have a LOT of things to cover, so sorry, but I won't have a rules section of this RP, you should know what is right or not, and I will tell you if you have to change anything, because I own this and will make you change anything I deem inappropriate, or otherwise unfitting for this RP.

Because this starts in 2013, and Harry and Ginny's, as well as Ron and Hermoine's, children start in 2017, they will not appear until you are in year 4. None of the student's from Harry Potter will still go to Hogwarts, and you will not meet them, but may speak of certain people (Harry Potter, Vouldemort etc.)

Schedule Overview:
Yearly:
~The year begins on September 1

~Hogwarts Express leaves King's Cross Station at 11 a.m., bringing students to Hogsmeade Station where the 2nd through 7th years ride horseless carriages up to the castle and 1st years cross the lake in boats with Hagrid

~the start-of-year feast

. ~vast quantities of food and drink
. ~a few more words from McGonagall, including the "start-of-term notices"

~classes begin on September 2 - schedules handed out at breakfast

~Quidditch trials during the second week, also flying lessons for first years

~Halloween Feast on the evening of October 31

. ~delicious pumpkin treats

~first Quidditch match in the beginning of November

~second week of December McGonangall takes names of those who are staying over the Christmas holidays

~end of first term is usually about a week before Christmas and most of the students and some of the teachers go home

~December 25: Christmas Feast

~shortly after January 1: Hogwarts Express returns and start of second term

~Easter holidays - two-week break, students go home, exact dates vary every year

~exams are held the first week of June for years 1-4 and 6, O.W.L.'s are held for year 5's, and N.E.W.T's are held for year 7's

~results come out the second week of June

~Leaving Feast, sometimes called the end-of-term feast, the evening before the Hogwarts

~Express goes back to London

~the Hogwarts Express returns to London during the third week of June

~all staff and students leave Hogwarts during the summer except for Filch

Daily:
~The day begins with breakfast in the Great Hall. During breakfast, the morning mail arrives in a flurry of hundreds of owls. A bell signals the start of the first class at 9 am.

~There are two morning classes (an hour and a half each) with a break between (signaled by a bell), followed by lunch and a break.

~After lunch, classes resume at 1 pm. There are two classes (also an hour and a half each) in the afternoon.

~Supper is served in the Great Hall toward evening, after which the students are expected to be in their House common rooms for studying and socializing.

~Curfew for years 1-4 is 8 pm, and years 5-7 is 9 pm .

~There is no set bedtime after supper.

~Astronomy class takes place midnight every Wednesday.

During Easter holiday in year 2, students choose 2 or more electives in which they will take during year 3. Students years 3 and up may drop an elective, but must always continue with core classes. In year 4, students begin to prepare for O.W.L.'s, which will be taken in year 5. In year 6, the students can only attend classes for which they passed their O.W.L, if they failed to pass one of them, but still wish to take the subject, they can discuss options with their Head of House.

You do not have to be a huge Harry Potter fan to RP, but knowing at least a little will help you a LOT!

Also, all potions and spells MUST be real, and if you don't know the name of a spell, or want to make one up, just tell me a fake name, and put what it does in parenthesis, and be specific. I may tell you the real spell if there is one, and ask about a potion before making one, because it might not be real/ be very difficult to make, but you don't realize it.

Students with a lot of classes may apply for time-turners, a necklace that can be used to go back in time a few hours, for if you have multiple classes at the same time.

You may not make huge changes to the story, and if you do, I will ask you to delete them.

Each year will have a name, similiar Harry Potter series (Philosophers Stone, Order of the Phoenix etc.) and I will make up a plot, in which your characters have to figure out what's happening. If you don't understand, just wait and you will.

If you are on the roleplay frequently enough, you may ask to have a teacher as one of your characters, along with your student. I will predetermine the teachers name's and classes they teach, but you can apply to add them as one of your characters.

Certain characters (especially teachers) will get information about the plot that others don't get. You may NOT share this with others!

You may have up to two students at Hogwarts, and the before mentioned teacher if you are frequent enough.

DO NOT post on the RP thread until I say it is okay. I will post a summary of the plot of that year at Hogwarts.

Gender: Female
Personality: Levina is a smart and spirited young girl that has a bunch of dreams. She will do anything to protect Hogwarts (if she could) and her friends. Levina isn't that brave though, she is actually quite skittish. She has an excellent memory of spells and potions.
Appearance: Levina is a tall asian girl with medium length black hair that is usually up in a bun. Apart from wearing robes, she will usually settle down in some casual looking clothes in her dorm.

Gender: Female
Personality: Rose is quiet and shy most of the time. If a friend needs help, she might overcome this. If her friends are being ridiculed or taunted in some way, the shyness will melt away and she'll help (or at least try) combat the offenders.
Appearance: Rose has wavy, dark brown hair that goes a few inches past her shoulders. She has the same colored brown eyes. If not wearing the usual robes required for class, she will wear a t-shirt and jeans.

Personality: Scarlet is shy and quiet. She is awkward, clumsy, (just like me! XD ) and very smart. She is friendly, but if you get onher bad side, you have made a humungo mistake. I mean it.
