Interactive Ark City

Hello everyone,


I thought about having something Interactive, and Ark City came to mind. Why not having a navigation system, where is though we can walk around the neighborhood, kind of like on Google maps; where is though if you go to street view, you have the ability to go from neighborhood to neighborhood without actually being there. So it'll be 3D, and when we see the type of building we can go in, we can click the doors and it'll direct us there maybe? I like for people to share their opinions and ideas on my suggestions to help enhance them so we can all have a good understanding of what I'm trying to say, and how we can make this possible. Everyone thoughts are accepted, whether you decide to disagree or agree. ❤️

I think it's a cool idea, but I do think that the tabs above need to stay for if you need to go somewhere quickly, or don't want to walk all around Ark for one building. 😊

Thanks, and yeah. About the walking, what about having a advance and basic option? The basic will be the one we have now, and the advance will be the 3D feature?

@fakeworld Would this be in flash, though? :I Or would it be page by page (like The Cave and MA)? EC has kept the page by page format for so long, I'd hate for it to be flash. I can see it becoming very similar to things like Club Penguin - after this is implemented, someone might be thinking "oh hey, why can't we so the other people who are viewing this page too?" and it would escalate from there.

(I assume you meant this to be interactive for the /existing/ pages we already have, not for more things.) I don't support for the reason above. Sorry. D:

Flash can be exploited.
As such a certain flash page with a day limit can be loaded multiple times, and results in multiple drawings for a person.

It becomes very similar to online sites like Club Penguin, or RPG sites like Dragon Fable.
Egg Cave is a community, and adoptables site.
I dont recall any adoptable sites being fully in flash, unless thats a downloaded game.
I would say so that Flash, having interactions with the server to prevent multiple tabs being opened, and as such putting a stranglehold on cheating.
Certain pages can do so, but if it goes like that, it'd be more of a gaming site.
Though, the artwork can be updated, and it would can be done by a First Person View, Landscape View, and a Cinema View.

I wasn't really thinking about the flash thing, never came to mind. I wasn't necessarily thinking of it that way, such it being like club penguin. We wouldn't be able to walk around, walk to other people, talk to them, it'll just be like a in-world thing where is though we'll actually be on the street, something similar to Google Maps. I don't know what formats will be needed or what not, but it's kind of hard to clearly explain. 😱

@fakeworld I don't think the coding really matters. But I wasn't saying that this suggestion was about becoming Club Penguin; I meant that people would (later on) suggest similar things to Club Penguin that would use this as a base (or foundation).

edit: According to http://www.eggcavern.net/articles/ian-interview-1 Ian's throwing around the idea of having flash.
