Between Light and Darkness lies... (Literate RP)

Spear Pillar. All of the Legendary Pokemon had gathered, including yourself. At the far end, underneath the temple roof, stood Arceus. His proud and regal form, however, seemed to have disappeared as his shoulders hunched and a panting sound emerged from his mouth. His eyes had a mad, frenzied look to them as the pure light that had previously occupied them died, replaced with a mad glint. He was insane. In the sky above, storm clouds gathered and the sun and moon took the same space, casting shadows across the temple grounds. Gradually you felt yourself weakening as Arceus drew power from you. The darkness surrounding you increased gradually, nearly overpowering. The world around you blurred, and you knew your life was drawing to a close. Suddenly Arceus ceased draining you of power. The world was almost encased in darkness now, and you knew you had to stop it... and now. Your comrades seemed to sense it too, for they gathered themselves up and rose to their feet. With the last of your combined strength, you and your companions summoned a portal. A light shone from deep within, and the portal expanded. Where it led you knew not, but you knew it was the last hope for this world. Suddenly, Arceus seemed to realize what was happening. He lunged forward to stop you, but it was too late: in a brilliant flash of light, the world's inhabitants were thrust into the portal. You and your comrades, however, ceased to exist, left outside in the rapidly darkening world to shut the portal and prevent Arceus's entry. All that remained of this world was a husk and darkness, never to be inhabited again.

The Distortion World. Of course, nobody calls it that anymore. Now it's just the "world". To its inhabitants, random antigravity moments are perfectly normal. Centuries have passed since the world's supposed "destruction", and it is now passed off as a myth. Legendary Pokemon are now merely that--Legends told to children as bedtime stories. Nobody really believes in them anymore, and nobody reveres them as more than ways to persuade children to stay in bed, whether that bed is a human bed of blankets and mattresses or a pile of grass.

The Distortion World. Now you know where the portal led to. Somehow your spirit travelled through the portal, as well as those of your comrades. But all you are is a spirit, and you cannot touch things, or interact with the world's inhabitants like you could in the real world. But this is the real world now, isn't it? Only Arceus exists across the now-sealed portal, probably destroying what's left of that dimension. Unless he's already dead, or he already demolished what was left. Regardless, he's over there and you're here. And you are no longer revered, no longer loved, you are not even believed in anymore. It pains you, but you suppose it's for the best. This is how life has been, is, and will be for the rest of eternity as you suffer continually from your sacrifice.

Okay, so basically Arceus went insane and veiled the real world in darkness, which would ultimately have destroyed it. Before that happened, however, the rest of the Legendary Pokemon created a portal to the Distortion world, though they didn't know that was where it would lead at the time. So now that's where all of the other Pokemon live, and nobody believes in the Legendary Pokemon anymore except for a few, and these guys are going to try to get back to the other world. You can be a Legendary, but they cannot be seen by or interact with the Distortion World's inhabitants. There WILL be benefits for Legendary characters, though only at the "end". Other than that you can be human or Pokemon, and they can interact, but I'm going to say that they can't really be Pokemon Trainers, so they'll basically just be "friends". Some of the characters will be trying to escape the Distortion World, some will know of the existence of the Legendaries (and eventually, somehow, meet them), but others will be trying to dissuade them and will stay in the Distortion World. Anyways.

1. BE LITERATE!!! I want proper sentences with punctuation at the ends and capital letters at their beginnings, quotation marks around character dialogue, proper verb conjugation, etc. ABSOLUTELY NO TEXT TALK!!!
2. Legendaries MUST have genders; there's a reason for this but I can't quite remember why. 😋
3. Humans cannot be Pokemon Trainers; however they can "keep" Pokemon as "pets" if the Pokemon is not another person's character (unless that other person agrees, in which case go right ahead).
4. No Godmodding (without the other person's consent) or Mary Sues/Gary Stues (Perfect characters); all people have flaws!
5. If you read the rules, put "chinchillaz" somewhere in your post.
6. This space is reserved for whatever I KNOW I forgot, because I know I forgot something. 😋
