~~~~~The Cesar of Halloween~~~~~
What's the light that glows so bright? What's the creepiest thing in sight? The answer to those creepy questions is right below if you do the actions:
It is Jack! The Cesar of Halloween! He's the creepiest thing you've ever seen! Scaring people (who are in fright) jumping up at the dead of night! He is, he is the most creepiest thing, that you or I have ever seen! Though he's only there for one night, he's sure to give you a fright! You might be scarred for years to come, but Halloween sure is fun!
Sleepy Hallow-
By a blanket of fog,
under star and moon,
I came upon Sleepy Hallow
one fall afternoon.
Quaint as is it eerie,
the settlers don't lie,
when they say strange occurrences
often do come by.
The jack-o'-lanterns cackle
and the fire inside them glows,
but trick-or-treating on Halloween?
You'll find that no one goes.
For they are all too scared, you see,
protective of their head,
that the grim that comes to haunt them,
will put them all to bed.
Its Jack-O-Lantern night
the night when all become mysterious
its time when the dark creatures come out to play
indeed they do on this mysterious day
the moon comes down to set
but i'll bet
the dark creatures will come to scare
They'll even play do or dare
for a scare
It Jack-O-Lantern Night
its time for the dark creatures to come out to play
indeed this is a mysteries day
They will sure will give u a fright
They havock the streets with mystery
They made it so frightening
That it went down in history
It Jack-O-Lantern night
The darknesd comes out to play
they very do in this mysterious day
WINNERS
@Ladybugheart - First Place
"Left
The sun descends as Halloween draws near.
My footsteps echo through the darkened streets.
All hope and light, engulfed by shade and fear;
They whisper, telling me I should retreat.
They go ignored; I ponder where they lead.
The hallway splits, one path benevolent.
While darkness beckons, sunlight humbly pleads.
I choose the gloom, its evil prevalent.
Unease and trepidation fill my thoughts;
The ghosts who chose this path before me call.
I glance around at bloodstained walls, distraught.
I vanish. Was I even there at all?
There's nothing left of me but my despair,
For never will I wake from this nightmare."
"Halloween
The dim glow of Jack-O-Lanterns, flickers through the night,
Spooky bats and small black cats contribute to the fright.
Children dressed as ghosts and ghouls are prowling about the streets,
Filling their sacks with little snacks, no tricks, just many treats.
Spirits rise from the graves tonight, crying out into the dark,
Their troubled souls burn bright like coals and light up the lonely park.
Skeletons' bones click together, as they walk through abandoned grounds,
Filling the air with noises that scare, eerie skeleton sounds.
Vampires leave their mansions, a red drink, what they seek,
The night air cold as legends are told, filled with such mystique.
Mummies climb out of their caskets, moaning in restless gloom,
In their swaddling attire they wander the mire, the home of their ancient tomb.
In the sky the moon is full, as the frightening werewolf howls,
From the crooked dark oak trees that lost all their green leaves fly wide-eyed and screeching hoot owls.
The witch's cackle is loud and startling, it's hoarse sound cracked and mean,
The creatures are out, without a doubt to wish you a great Halloween!"
@novrain62 Oh my! I can't believe I forgot to check this after so long! I must have lost it in the sea of notifications I came back to. 3rd place is pretty swell, thank you! Congrats to all the other winners! Everyone else's poems were fabulous too!
