I think I want to watch anime, what are some good animes to start off on? 😋

Well, anime tends to have a bad reputation. Most anime I have run into is very inappropriate. I have watched two that are mostly appropriate. Fruits Baskets was really good but in my opinion the ending is dumb. I watched a short anime series called squid girl on Netflix. It was stupid but, I thought it was kind of cute.

There is a lot of good anime out there but, I don't like to recommend unwholesome shows to people. So that kind of narrows my options.

@olimpt There's a lot of anime genres and types out there, what kind of stuff do you like? 😊

@olimpt
Depends on what kind of anime you are going for, my favorites are Escaflowne, Erin the beast master, AngelBeats!, No. 6, Demon king Daimao, Squid girl, Listen to me, girls, I'm your father!, Free! - Iwataobi Swim club, Puella Magi Madoka Magica, You and me, You and me season 2, Skipbeat. and if you like fluffy yaois some of them are Cute~ like Gravitation

But yeah I love anime and watch it pretty often, so I can recommend some more.... 😸

@olimpt It really depends on you

@newlife gave some excellent suggestions. I watched Sword Art Online recently and it was one of the best I have ever seen

I have a few suggestions myself.

1. One Piece - the art work is insane and the humor incredible... but 600+ episodes of one series isn't every ones cup of tea

2. Arakawa under the bridge - an anime of a weeeeiiiiird group of people living under a bridge in Tokyo. Fun to watch

3. Naruto and Naruto Shippuuden - a very adictive anime about Shinobi (ninja) and highly popular

I will add to this later on, as well

@olimpt Yeh, it pretty much depends on you.

@wolf-of-shadows I frickin' loved Arakawa! ❤️
It was weird, but in a good way.

You can try some of the more popular anime, but they have like a butt ton of episodes.

Here are some anime that I've watched:

Deadman Wonderland
Kyouran Kazoku Nikki
Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic
Moyashimon
Toradora
Tsuritama

RWBY is like western animation, but is anime-influenced. It's by Roosterteeth on YouTube. 😊

@wolf-of-shadows
I found Sword Art Online when it was on episode 3
SAO was originally a light novel, currently which I'm a volume behind, so if you're interested in reading that.. 😉

Im going to second Tsuritama, it's definitely one of the cuter ones Ive seen. Evangelion is a classic, and with good reason, but be prepared to have your heart ripped out. Im personally quite fond of Polar Bear Cafe, but if you are unfamiliar with japanese humor I dont think you'll get much out of it. ShibaInu-ko san is really cute and the episodes are really short(like 3 minutes) so its very little commitment. if you want something a little heavier Denno Coil is really good but no one else seema to know of it.

also Bunny Drop, but I like stories about raising kids.
