Have you ever wanted to create your own Pokemon? Do you enjoy creating Pokemon but don't have a good story line? Got a good story line but no Pokemon or Trainers to go along with it? Then you've come to the right place! Here, we plan and create Pokemon games that will eventually be hacked onto discs and played. There are different roles to suit your strengths so that we can each play to them and come up with company-grade games. Okay, not that good, but still~ Anyways, if you want to join, just fill out a form and make sure to read and follow the rules. I will list the roles and rules below..::.Roles and Descriptions.::.Creators: Creators come up with concepts for new Pokemon and new Trainer personalities. You guys don't really do any drawings, but you can do a bit of concept art.Sketchers: Sketchers draw the concept art on paper for each Pokemon and/or Trainers. You guys can also design new Pokemon and not give them any moves or something, but you don't really do any personality/typing concepts. Not saying you can't, though.Artists: Artists do the official art for the Pokemon, which means it has to be DIGITAL. If you want to be an artist, YOU WILL HAVE TO PROVIDE THREE RECENT EXAMPLES OF YOUR WORK, recent being within the past three months. I just want to make sure the art looks "official".Spriters: Spriters do the pixel art for gameplay. This means you draw them one pixel at a time, as in zoom in and place one pixel, then another, then another until it looks like normal in-game Pokemon--it doesn't have to be perfect, but try to do the best you can.Plotters: Plotters design the story line and evil team and rivals and all that.Cartographers: Cartographers plot the cities on the maps, design the cities and major parts of the region, and... Well, stuff pertaining to maps. Design the region.Dexters: Dexters design the Pokedex. They have to be adept at spriting and coding, and remembering the orders, typings, and names of the Pokemon, as well as their categories. These are almost as important as the programmers.Programmers: Programmers hack the sprites onto the disc and make sure the animation is flowing smoothly. You guys have the most important role of the whole operation, as it is up to you to make the game flow..::.Rules.::.1. Be polite! No bashing other people's artwork, yelling at people for not working fast enough, etc. Bascally, "Do unto others as you'd have them do unto you".2. You can reserve a few inter-role roles, such as making certain major Pokemon or designing the Trainer's outfit, but don't reserve to many--I understand that it's nice to feel important and do all of the big jobs, but everybody deserves a chance to shine. I also understand that you don't have all the time in the world on your hands and your schedules are cramped, which is why I made this rule--I had to quit the club from Marriland because the things I wanted to do kept getting stolen because I wasn't posting fast enough.3. You can have as many roles as you think you can handle, but Programmers can only have two roles besides that one, as we don't want them to be rushed in programming.4. You can make as many Pokemon as you want and have time for; we're not limiting your creativity! However, I am going to set a minimum of two so that we can ensure that nobody gets empty credit--while it's nice to feel important, wouldn't it feel better if you did some of the work?5. You are going to be working in groups, one game trilogy/duo to a group. Meaning, group one might be working on Pokemon Ice, Wind, and Snow while another practices Rain, River and Salt. I'm trying to keep this as orderly as possible so that we don't fall into chaos like the Marriland club did. You can only belong to one group at a time, and if you want to drop one in favour of another you may, though I'd rather you stay in your original group.6. Game names can be used multiple times, so if you wanted to make an elemental trilogy of Fire, Water, and Lightning you could, even if another group had already made Water, Earth, and Sun.7. Put "Waffle Pie" in some section of your form if you read the rules.8. Pokemon concepts can be used only once unless you are making another forme for a Pokemon from an already published game--in other words, no stealing others' ideas!9. If you can come up with a new type, go ahead! I'm not going to put too many restrictions on things here.10. For the love of Arceus, check to see if somebody's reserved a Pokemon to create before drafting it! I don't want anybody to be hurt because they didn't get the role they had been dying for.11. There is a limit of five Creators, five Artists, three Sketchers, five Spriters, three Plotters, one Cartographer, one Dexter, and two Programmers per group; I don't want fighting over who draws what or what goes where amongst group members. You can have fewer than that and Sketchers and Creators are optional, but I don't want to see anybody working alone: this is supposed to be a social and fun activity! Also, if a person has more than one role, like Artist and Cartographer, then you can add one Artist and one Cartographer if the Artist/Cartographer is being pushed beyond their limits; as I said, this is supposed to be fun!12. You don't have to stick with the same group members when you've finished one game, but if you find you work really well with one person you can certainly stick with them!13. You only have to submit one form to the club, meaning you don't have to submit another each time you switch groups.14. If you edit your form be sure to tell me so that I can copy-paste it into the next post!15: You can create your own group if you want, but make sure to ping me! And please don't make another group if there are already four or five out unless they're all filled up; it's really hard to make games if there are ten groups with only two members!.::.Forms.::.Nickname (or what you want us to call you):Role[s]:Recent drawings (Artists only):Group:Suggestions, or any Roles we're missing?Any Pokemon creations you want to reserve:Other:My form:Nickname: UmberiskRole[s]: Creator, Sketcher, Artist, Plotter, Cartographer, SpriterRecent drawings: *chuckles* well, as I'm the group's creator, I don't think I need to provide this...Group: Amethyst, Turquoise, and PeridotAny Pokemon Creations desired: Main Legendaries and First BirdOther: Waffle Pie! And I was just joking; I'll provide the link to my dA later.Note: Some time in the very near future I will probably be taking a leaf out of my friend's book and making a forum on a different website so we can organize this better, and I will probably make you required to use it for this. The website is free and I promise you it is safe; I used it before when I was a member of the Marriland club and for the three months I have been using it I have not experienced a single problem or breach of security. If I do I will PM everybody the link, and I'll probably have the forum up sometime this week, and if not this weekend.
