how to you knit a jumper? o.O

so yesterday i got this adorable knitted jumper and today i was like "i like this, im gonna knit some" none of my family believe that i will....and most likely ill start to and never finish xD
but anyway, i just dont get how to do it D: i cant find a decent tutorial, my mum said i need to use some knitting pattern or something...they make no sense
im just really dumb with this stuff >.<
so if its not too much trouble for someone to tell me how to or find a tutrial for me that would be great 😸 😊
