The Land of Arandúil

Long ago, the gods lent the kings and queens of Arandúil some of their powers. Depending on the god, they received powers of frost, flame, sky, life, peace, or chaos. However, the rulers became corrupt and the gods no longer gave their power away. However, there are evil forces in the land, and so the gods have lent one young member of the royal family from the eleven kingdoms their power.

There are eleven kingdoms in Arandúil:

There is 6 different types of magick. More than 2 people cannot have the same type of magick:

Frost is the power of the north. Those with frost magick can use their magick to control ice and snow, a small amount of water, from which frost is made, and wind, which pairs with frost in a powerful combination.
Flame is the power of passion and rage. Flame magick provides control of fire, and the side magicks of lightning, from which the first fires started, and wind, which can push and pull flames, and give them life or take it away.
Sky magick is the power to harness the clouds above. Sky magick is based on wind power, but has the side magicks of water, from which the clouds, rain, and snow are made, and lightning, the energy of the sky sent to Earth.
Life is the power of birth and happiness. Those who have been blessed with life magick can control plants and animals, the side magicks being water and earth, the two things all life needs to survive.
Peace magick(as well as chaos) is different than the other magicks. The other magicks spring from the wielders hands and effect physical things. Peace magick, however, stays in pure magick form the entire time. It is a white blue light, unlike the other magicks that seem to sparkle, and can be used to purify, banish, or heal. This light can also manifest as animals, always existing ones, or objects(aka weapons).
Chaos magick(as well as peace) is different than the other magicks. The other magicks spring from the wielders hands and effect physical things. It is a deep red light, unlike other magicks that seem to sparkle, and can be used to poison, manipulate, or sting(a process where a person is slowly filled with chaos until they go insane and eventually into a coma). This light can also manifest as animals, always mythical ones(such as dragons or demons), or objects(aka weapons).

The four physical magicks are difficult to control, but with practice can be wielded effectively. Peace magick is the hardest to control, but is the only magick that, with enough practice, you can maintain full dominance over your power. Chaos magick is the uncontrollable magick. No matter how hard you practice, nobody can ever effectively wield it. It is the most powerful magick, but also the most dangerous, as one could kill them self without proper care. The more it is used, the more chaotic it becomes. One must wait 100 times as long as they used their power for the magick to settle.

Choose your power wisely.


-Correct grammar and spelling is a must.
-At least 3 sentences per post.
-You may have two side characters that do not have magick powers.
-No one but a few knows about your characters powers. In history, at least tell where they have been(ex: locked up in jail for being too dangerous, kept in their room and told not to destroy everything, living off in the wilderness with a guardian, etc.)
-At the beginning, your character has no experience using their powers as they have not been allowed to use them.
-No saying you'll RP out their personality or anything like that.
-Put a smiley in the other if you have read everything above.

Name: Casey
Gender: Female

Kingdom: Cimrodell
Magick: Chaos
Personality: Casey is a very shy girl and does not like to interact with other people as she is scared of misusing her power and hurting others. She can be very aggressive at times.
Appearance: Casey wears a brown dress with a leather sash around her waist and sturdy fur boots. Her hair is short and usually pins up her fringe.
History: At a young age she decided to use her power on one of the royal servants. However, the servant died as Casey was not in control of her power. Now she decides not to use it unless absolutely necessary.

@sarahzafirah Two things:

1st- This isn't during modern times. The princess isn't going to be wearing a tank top, jeans, or sneakers.

2nd- "However, there are evil forces in the land, and so the gods have lent one young member of the royal family from the eleven kingdoms their power." Therefore, only one person from each kingdom has magick powers, so your characters history is impossible.

@skittlejg Do we get any information about where the kingdoms are (geographically)? I'm just going to assume Ferondell is in the north ^^

Gender: Male

Age(10-25): 19

Kingdom: Ferondell

Magick: Frost

Personality: Shy, introverted, speaks in a concise manner and often comes across as rude (although he doesn't mean to be), calm and slow to anger/have strong emotional reactions

Appearance: Dark, shoulder length hair that he often ties back, tall and strong, pale eyes. Wears heavy cloaks/furs and sturdy boots

History: The youngest of five, he is the King's brother's son. Malum struggles to live up to his father's unrealistic expectations. He has been largely ignored by his family, as his parents never meant to have him.

No one in his family knows about his powers. Malum has only just come to terms with the fact he might have powers. His trusted valet is the only person who knows about them.
