Right now..working security as a graveyard officer ;-; I get so bored and that's why I have come back to Egg Cave!

Don't get me wrong I like the money, but jeesh I love sleep more. And don't worry, I still do my work, just on here during breaks 😋

So what's the horrible job you have had, and do you have a funny story?

@insanegoldfish

Hello yes, I have three horrible job stories for you.

My very first real job was at a movie theatre when I was 15. The theatre played older movies, movies that had been out for a while, but weren't on DVD yet, and thus offered reduced ticket rates, we called it the cheap seats. We used to lean into the popcorn thingies to scoop out popcorn, and one day I saw a girl drop chewing gum out of her mouth, then dig it out of the popcorn and resume chewing. EW!

My next job was at a childcare center, and on my first day there I was left in charge of one of out lovely little girls with down syndrome. I had had no experience with dealing with a child with a mental handicap, but that five minutes that I was supposed to watch her for became an hour and a half. During that period, she swallowed a bag od elastics. I was freaked beyond belief. We got her to spit them all up though, she was fine.

Finally my current job, which I've held for a few years. This story isn't really funny, just sort of sad XD. I work at a flower shop, which my parents have owned since I was 3 years old, (I'm 19 now). We don't have Christmas traditions like most families, except that from the 15th of december through to the 24th, we all work very long days at the shop. Today was a 12 hour shift, constantly on my feet organizing orders and helping customers, lifting buckets and making arrangements, yesterday was another 12 hour, the day before was an 11 hour, and the day before a 9... but you get the point. One day I would love to experience a traditional christmas and bake and play games, or whatever it is families do at christmas, but for now it's just work, work, work.

Wow, I've heard of people doing gross stuff to popcorn at theaters. One guy I knew said the employees would spit in the popcorn at his theater!

That sounds like a hard job working with a special needs child without the training. That was really your employers fault for putting you in charge of her. I'm glad the little girl came out ok. [:

And yeah I hear you on the tiredness..bouncing between two jobs with one of them being a graveyard is hard work. For you, hopefully when you are older you can get some holiday time like you want, but at least you have work. Always a postive! 😃
