@ssshelbbyy

I suppose I'm a bookworm 😋 The only book I read by John Green was Paper Towns, which I liked but it wasn't my favorite book. Have you heard of the Daughter of Smoke and Bone? It's not very popular (yet) but it's definitely among my favorites. I also like to brag to my friends about how I read Divergent before it got all popular, but I don't think they really care XD Some of my other favorites:
The Scorpio Races
The Selection
The Hunger Games
Harry Potter
The Stand (and anything else by Stephen King)
Delirium
The Perks of Being a Wallflower
The I Am Number Four series (I always get Four from this book and Four from Divergent mixed up XD)
There have to be a ton more but I can't think of them right now 😋

Yeah, that's true, but at the same time they're all interconnected. The first two books have no characters in common, but the third ties them together, and the fourth ties it all together even more thoroughly and adds depth and more characters.
Also, many of the major characters appear in nearly all of the books, and several of the villages appear in more than one book.

@purrclan

No! I'm stuck somewhere halfway through the series; only one of my local public libraries carries the books, and I've been trying to read them in order, but it's so HARD to find all the books...

I adore Tamora Pierce; I plan to buy a hardcover copy of "Terrier" sometime to complete my series, ❤️

I haven't bothered to read all the books. 😋 I just read all the ones on our bookshelf and then any others that I find while browsing in a library/store - it doesn't leave you too confused, luckily. 😋
And I need to read more Pierce.

@purrclan

I dunno, there's some really clever things hidden inside, like the twins and going to Hell in a handbasket...

Pierce is excellent. My favorites are the "Beka Cooper" series, "The Will of the Empress", the "Song of the Lioness" series, and "The Immortals" series. What are yours?

I've read that one 😊
And of those, I've only read the Song of the Lioness, and also Protector of the Small. As I said, I need to read more.

I don't really enjoy Kel; I find her a bit too stoic, :\

What's your opinion on Alanna and Kel?

Aaaaah, I'm glad we're in agreement!

Beka Cooper is awesome, but her books are in diary format, so I'm not sure if you'll like it, :\

@wolphire
IDK, once I read a book composed entirely of letters from various people to various other people. 😋
Have you read Leviathan? One of the characters is a girl disguised as a boy, except it's not medieval times. It's a alternate universe of WWI with "Darwinists" (Darwin discovered evolution, DNA *and* genetic engineering in this universe, so there's a lot of gene manipulation and stuffs) vs. "Clankers" (steampunky peoples with big walkers like the things in Star Wars. Also zeppelins. And mechanical elephants. And things like that.)
And it's awesome 😃

@purrclan

You should try "A House on Mango Street"; it is composed of 1-2 pages of random-subject chapters that show how the main character comes of age.

No, I haven't. You should try "Temeraire"; it's an alternate universe during the Napoleon era where they have dragons. They're intelligent (most of them) and are used to fight in the war, :>

I just recently got my hands on "Valley of Eagles", 'cause my library doesn't own it.

I have the complete collection barring the most recent book. I'm looking forward to reading it when CRW ends, 😊

Haha, no worries. I'm living in the middle of nowhere at the moment, but my home library has all the books but "VoE", and I have that in my room, so I'm all set!

I'm just glad we like similar books! We should start a conversation and talk about this there; more convenient, 😊

Leviathan was a really great book! I'm not caught up in that series because life got too busy and I kind of don't read unless it's textbooks or assigned for english.

I think I might have read the third, but I can't recall. I think I have memory loss issues pertaining to literature in specific. I should really finish that series. But I have to finish the book thief first. So close to the end, and yet I'm still working on it.
