When i started to play on Egg cave was difficult to get some rare/retired creatures with only Commons Egg, Month's creatures and a little ec.
I had to wait someone has quitted from Eggcave to get rare creatures!
I think for help more newbies, the first egg should be rare creature rather than a common or month creature.
I don't know if someone had already proposed it.. but i try xD

@nidalee2 It depends which kind of rare creature. If it were to be a retired creature or something, that would make them less rare and worth less. People would be making a million side accounts too. Plus it shouldn't be that easy to get a very rare creature.
Even though I think that it's a good idea to give newbies a little push into getting rare creatures, they can still get EC very easily. That's how I got a couple LEs my first month.
But this is just my opinion. (:

I'm torn on this one...on the one hand, I do think it's tough for newbies to get started, considering how many retired eggs there are. But if they automatically got rare eggs I see three problems.
1. It could start to affect rarity over time
2. People would make multiple accounts to get rare eggs
3. What about side accounts? Would everyone who opens a side account get a rare egg?

I think that a better idea would be a one day a year re-release...maybe through the advent tree...where you would have a chance to get a retired/endangered creature. CC creatures would be excluded, but everything else would be fair game. The creature that you got would be random...anything from a LE released a couple of moths ago, to one of the older/more rare pets.

Obviously the older/rarer the pet, the fewer that would be released. That way they would keep their value, while still giving newer users a chance to get an older pet that not be able to get otherwise. (If anyone plays chickensmoothie, this set up should sound familiar...that's where I got the idea. 😊 )

@spirithawk i saw most new user left this game too early, because some can't get a creature with which to start well and so do not feel pressured to continue.
And most old users don't let them win some easy auctions, because they offer 7 mil and more! For this reason i write this incomplete idea..

@musicgurl333 I don't know if can use a detection system for ip, so that users who already have accounts can't do it.
I think your is a great idea, but newbies must wait the advented tree.
I'll reflect on this idea, maybe i can find a better way which could be implemented

@spirithawk

I like your idea @nidalee2, but maybe it could be modified to hand out recent (within a set amount of months) LEs. Though, with the new set-up for cave monthlies, I'm not quite sure how it'll work...

@musicgurl333

I think this is a great idea! The Advent Tree giveaway could slowly introduce more rare creatures into the pool while portioning them out to prevent price deflation

@wolphire i know xD i just thinking about it.
I think is better the @musicgurl333 's idea than mine. But the Newbies must wait the Advent Tree..

I think as a newbie it's important to be patient. No one started with super rare creatures; they became rare over time. It's a really great thought to give newbies the chance for rare creatures, though. Maybe there will be a way to do something like you proposed. Or the users can simply adopt out rare creatures themselves if they feel so inclined. Or I'm rambling while I should be sleeping. : P

@nidalee2

Well, we'll ALL have to wait for the Advent Tree and be diligent on visiting each day, or else we'll miss the creature giveaway day.

Personally, I think this site is all about patience. I'm about a month into the game; through perseverance and dedication, I've come pretty far. It's all about, are they willing to commit to the amount of time and energy required to do trade-ups and stockpile EC.

Also, if you're friendly and meet the right people, you can meet some REALLY generous users. This is how I got a Trident and Calla within my first week. Plus, there's an entire topic dedicated to giving evolved commons to newbies, which they can use in trades. Various users have soft spots for certain commons and would be willing to over-offer for them.

@nidalee2

Well then, why don't you start a side account where you give out a rare creature or two to newbies? You can ask for donations from established users to keep it running. I know I'd be glad to help out with a few evolved creatures, 😊

@wolphire it's a good idea i can propose it to Love an Egg Project. But i don't know if they agree. I try anyway 😊
