More uses for EC

As it currently stands, EC only serves few purposes, such as betting, buying travels, auctioning, booking at Tim's, and the research center (And somewhat as an 'extra weight' in creature trading)

Still, the amount of trade lots saying "No EC", users saying "CC/Creatures only", it's quite obvious that EC holds little value among players, other than to book at Tim's or fill in for already CC/Creature filled trading.

I'd like there to be more uses for EC, more people to want and use EC, some reason for it to be more desirable.

I'm not the *best* at wording, but I hope you get my picture, I currently have no plans to purchase CC but would like to get somewhere with my EC.

I predict that the majority of you would be against this (No reason rant about it), but I believe some sort of EC > CC ratio should be established, such as 4,000,000 EC can be exchanged for 100 CC, but this can only be done bi-weekly. (As a testament to this, I've disabled Adblock from working on EggCave so they can bring in revenue without the use of my wallet)

Just something to fill the gap, it doesn't have to be that necessarily. Take a look at the poll (Multi vote) and give feedback. Quick "I hate that!" posts will be ignored.

*Again, it would be strict. Something small like 25, 50, or 100 CC in exchange for a high amount of EC. The exchange should only be allowed to be done occasionally. (May encourage non-paying members to start paying for CaceCash due to an impatience/desire to acquire more CC)

**Something to enhance your creature/profile or on-site experience, such as skins, page backgrounds, ect. Some can be purchased with EC, and some with CC.

***Such as a reward for reaching a certain amount in the 'stronghold' bank, can be tied to possible "other" items too. Similar to Neopets.com's definition of User Trophies and awards.

I feel like EC actually has more buying power than it used to. I think the auctions will really help with that, as it's all using EC. I have seen multiple CC creatures there, so even if you can't buy CC you can still save up and buy creatures.

The idea of a EC to CC conversion has been mentioned before, but it's never going to happen. If people could convert EC to CC, a lot fewer people would buy CC, and Ian would lose money. As it is right now, people who don't have access to CC can buy it from other users (lately a freeze goes for around 3mil) or they can trade for CC pets. If CC trading comes back, this will be even easier. I don't really think there needs to be any kind of conversion system.

I don't really like the idea of backgrounds, but allowing users to choose alternate site theme options might be okay (for example, an option to keep the Christmas theme year round, or maybe a fall theme, etc.). In my opinion, backgrounds would make things too cluttered.

An award system might be a fun idea. 😊 But that would really only be another way to earn EC, and not a way to use it.
