What does it mean when someone posts "Bump" on the forums? It really confuses me. T_T

But yeah, it brings the topic back to the top of the forum. Thats why you see the most recent post in a forum as the... er.... title??? topic? IDK the term.
But people don't like it when you bump old/answered topics. ^^

For example:

If you are on a roleplay forum, and everybody forgets about it, or noone every joined, it will eventually go past the first page and no one will ever see it. "Bumping it" brings it back to the very top so everyone sees it again. Can't do it here because of double posting T.T
