Welcome to the world of what some may call magic. A place where the creatures that dwell in nightmares and legend... are real.---Ten years ago, Percy Jackson denied immortality and declared that all the Gods must send their children to Camp Half Blood by the age of thirteen. Some have begun to wonder... How do we know they're all going?People were right to ask themselves, because there is a different camp nestled deep in the forests of Minnesota-- Camp Olympian. The Gods chose their favorite children to fight for the camp every year in a sadistic event where demigods from Camp Olympian fight those of Camp Half-Blood. This petty game serves to amuse the Gods, as well as to prove that the children at Camp Olympian are special, and need more than Camp Half-Blood can provide. At the end of the event, the Gods work together to heal the wounded, repair weapons, and erase the memory of those at Camp Half-Blood every year. However, just recently, something went wrong; the memories of Camp Half-Blood’s demigods were not completely erased. Infuriated, they allied with the Romans to overthrow Camp Olympian. Camp Half-Blood’s surprise army outnumbered Camp Olympian and, interestingly enough, proved themselves victorious. Thinking that all of the demigods from Camp Olympian were wiped out, they moved on. The Great Battle was never spoken of. They thought that the “superior” demigods of Camp Olypmian had been eradicated.Of course, they were wrong. A few sole demigods from Camp Olympian survived. It’s become their mission to restore Camp Olympian's pride. Will they succeed and get their yearly tradition back, or will they fail, and be forced to face the monsters of the outside world?---[ Rules: ]- Quality over quantity is the Golden Rule here, but this is a literate roleplay. Please post 2-3 paragraphs at the bare minimum.- If you can't use proper grammar, please stop reading here. ❤️- Put some thought into your character. I won’t accept any Mary/Gary Sues and their soap opera lives. Don’t cry about it. Everybody has tragedy, but avoid the ridiculous clichés, please.- There won't be a posting order. However, once you've posted, wait for at least two other people to post before doing so again. This way, we avoid back and forth posting.- No cybering. Period.- No unrealistic romance. If you want, you can have your character be dating another with the permission of that person, but let's not have too many couples right from the beginning. These characters may or may not have known each other their whole lives. Most demigods came to Camp Half-Blood at 13, but, well, some God(esse)s are slacking.- The characters will only be from Camp Half-Blood. If you’d like to create/control a Camp Olympian NPC as well as a camper from Half-Blood, that would be fabulous!- Have fun![ Character Skeleton: ]Name:Age: [13-17]Gender:Appearance: [Description of at least 3 sentences.]Godly Parent: [Can be one of the 12 major Olympians or a minor God(ess).]Abilities/Powers: [One or two. You may have two if one is more of an ability than a physical power, i.e. talking to animals. Try and connect your ability to the Godly parent.]Weaknesses: [What makes them vulnerable?]Weapon of Choice: [What do they like to fight with?]Personality: [How do they act?]History: [Give us a little background.][ Accepted Characters: ]Name: Kellen EliasAge: 16Gender: FemaleAppearance: Kellen’s half Korean descent is visible in her slightly angular, dark eyes and tanned skin. She never bothers with her thick, dark brown hair that hangs straight, landing just past her shoulders. She stands at an average height of 5’5”, which is good enough for her. She can always be seen donning her white PF Flyer’s, which are rumored to help her superhuman speed.Godly Parent: HermesAbilities/Powers: Kellen’s father, the messenger of the Gods, was the fastest of all the Gods, as well as notoriously cunning. Kellen inherited his incredible speed, though not to his godly magnitude. Her increased reaction times allow her to quickly analyze a situation and react appropriately.Weaknesses: Though witty and fast, Kellen lacks in the strength department and is easily overpowered once a good blow is thrown in. She can’t overthrow an opponent, only stall or avoid. She is a better teammate than lone fighter, and can disengage easily by running away. Weapon of Choice: Kellen prefers to dart in and out of combat with her enchanted throwing daggers. A child of Hephaestus forged the two daggers that will always reappear in her possession.Personality: Kellen is witty and has a sharp tongue. Often, her mouth gets her into trouble best avoided. She can be surprisingly diplomatic at times and is able to squeeze her way out of fights. Kellen doesn't take much seriously and loves to enjoy the little things in life. She finds it easy to shrug things off and isn't much of a grudge-bearer. However, being the daughter of a trickster and a thief, Kellen is a prank-puller. To her mother's surprise, she isn't a kleptomaniac like she often jokes her father is.
