I slid out of the apprentices den as the sun rose just over the horizon. The dawn patrol just came back with Falconflight in the lead, her apprentice Viperpaw following with Finchstripe and Crowscar at the back.

{I have randomly chosen cats for a patrol, so if you feel that should not have happened I'm sorry, I would have used all my characters but we needed variation.}

Noticing Phoenixpaw as I pad into camp, I nod to her in greeting. "You're up early."

{Hummingkit}
I blink my eyes open, then sit up with a jolt. "Bumblekit! Bumblekit!" I hiss.
He looks up at me blearily. "What is it?"
"We were going to do the thing today!" I glance at Meadowsong to make sure she's asleep.
"What thi - OH THAT!" Instantly he's awake, alert, and buzzing out the door. Grinning madly, I chase after him.

Stormtail had woken up much earlier than usual, and had left her den to watch the sky and it's stars as they faded into the dawn. She noticed dawn patrol's return, and as the other cats began to wake, Stormtail stood. She didn't have many friends in the clan. Not as many as she did when she was a rogue... But these cats were good, and they had great values much better than that of her previous family.

Family... Were they family to her now? Stormtail liked to think so.

So deep in thought, she hadn't noticed Songbird approach her.
"Up early again?" They lighter grey cat smiled, sitting next to her friend. Songbird enjoyed being around Stormtail, even if other cats did not. They still did not completely trust the former rogue, even if she had proved her loyalty time and time again.
"Huh? Oh, yeah. I like watching the stars fade."

I looked up at the sound of birds chittering high above my head in the trees. I let out a small growl, before climbing hte tree hoping to catch one.

"Hello, Stormtail and Songbird." I meowed as the two cats had left the warriors den.

I rolled over in my nest disturbed by the sound of voices and the feel of Viperpaw entering her nest again. I stood up before looking around, even in the half-light, my black pelt didn't catch the light coming from the dawn.
I slid out of hte den entrance and looked around at the cats now organized in the clearing.

Stormtail's eyes fell on the apprentice, and she smiled a bit. "Hi Pheionixpaw." Songbird laughed a bit at her friend's awkwardness. "Stormtail you're creeping her out!" She joked with a broad grin. "Do you have hunting lessons today?" The shorter cat asked.

Songbird shrugged. "You never know, you could always use a brush up. I sure did, but then again, I was a pretty slow apprentice." The bubbly she-cat laughed again, and the former rogue beside her offered up a rather awkward smile. "Pfft, probably not that slow. You are a warrior now, after all." Stormtail replied playfully.

I perched on the tree branch as a bird sat on it chirping nervously, I crouched to pounce and jumped. I must have mistimed something, because as I leapt I went over the bird and slammed into the hard ground below.

Finchstripe nodded to Phoenixpaw. "Go ahead. I'll catch up on my sleep."


Hummingkit buzzed around camp, Bumblekit on her tail as they flitted out of sight of the other cats. Their secret hole was just ahead of them... She darted through it. When Bumblekit had followed her, she shoved some leaves into it as camouflage.
"C'mon, Hummingkit!" her brother whispered as he wove through the trees. "We're going hunting!"

Bumblekit and Hummingkit are nowhere near as sneaky as they'd like to think they are. 😋

"Let's split up. That way we can catch more - don't warriors do that?" Bumblekit suggested.
"I think so, yeah."

Bumblekit flew around the area, looking for prey. Spotting a mouse, he dove straight at it. Unfortunately, it wasn't really a mouse - just a rock. He smashed face-first into the ground.

Hummingkit was zooming so quickly, nothing could escape her. Not even a tree. "Ow."

Shivering, Bumblekit decided to try hunting on the ground. Maybe he could stalk around and find something instead of flying...His foot fell into a hole that the snow had covered up.

Bang.

Crash.

"Oof!"

"Aah!"

Foof.

"Ow!"

Smash.

Scrape.

"Ha-HA! YES!" Hummingkit squealed, a bird having succumbed to her claws and definitely not already dying when she got there. Definitely. She picked it up in her jaws and fluttered around, looking for her brother.

The early morning sunlight filtering through the entrance of the warriors den was what woke Genetheart that morning. He blinked awake with a grumble and drooped a paw across his face in a feeble attempt to block out the morning and return to his sleep. No such luck. After a few moments of trying, he gave up on trying to return to sleep.

He wearily dragged himself to his paws and, after quickly grooming the moss and dirt from his pelt, he padded out of the den. His gaze flickered briefly around the camp as he took note of who was awake. Falconflight, Finchstripe, Crowscar, and Pheonixpaw were all there, alongside... well, most of the clan. He nodded slightly as he mentally said everyone's name as his amber eyes flickered from cat to cat.

He glanced over to the fresh-kill pile in hope of snagging a quick breakfast before the day started. The empty spot that me him was exactly what he expected to see though. He hated leaf-bare. Everything about it. The cold, the poor hunting, the snow. The snow was the worst. Especially when it was sticky and stuck in clumps to his fur.

He heard a soft rustle behind him and he cast a quick glance to the entrance to the warrior den as Horseripple dragged himself out of the den, more asleep than awake. "Good morning, Horseripple." He greeted his brother as the tabby settled down next to him. Horseripple's only answer was a mumbled mew, which caused a amused smile to flicker over Genetheart's face. Horseripple hated mornings more than was normal. If you got him up for dawn patrol, you better be ready for a extremely irritable warrior all day. Genetheart gently shoved his brother with a paw, causing the smaller tom to rock slightly and cast his older brother a glare. "Leave me alone before I rip your ears off." Horseripple growled as he batted his brothers paw off of his shoulder.

Genetheart smirked at the tabby and gave him another push, then pulled himself to his paws. "Alright. I'm going to see if Batpaw is up yet. Time to start training." He called over his shoulder to his grumpy brother, then padded over to the apprentice den.

He stuck his head in and his gaze instantly went to where his apprentice normally slept, a small grown replacing his usual smile as he realized the nest was empty. He withdrew his head and scanned the camp for the young tom, letting out a frustrated hiss as he realized that his apprentice was no where to be found in the camp.

He trotted over to Stormtail, Songbird, and Pheonixpaw. "Good morning!" He greeted. "Have you seen Batpaw today? He int in his nest or in camp. No one took his out did they?" He asked the trio.

The soft murmurs of cats outside of her den was the pleasant sound that Jerboawhisker woke to almost every morning. Almost every morning. Luckily, this was such a morning. Even after her mind was fully alert, she remained curled peacefully in her nest, her sensitive hearing picking up on the words spoken by the rest of the clan outside.

Once she picked up on her older brothers voice, which held a hint of anxiety due to, she discovered, his seemingly missing apprentice, she decided to pull herself up and out of the den, tiptoeing around her still sleeping(I assume) apprentice. Once in the sunlight, she shook herself slightly and stretched, a soft purr rumbling in her throat as the warmth of the sun soaked into her thin pelt. Once her body was stretched, she spread her wings and flapped then slightly to relieve the numbness she always got from sleeping on then oddly.

Her gaze flickered swiftly around the clan, taking note of everyone's phisical health, a habit of hers. Once she had confirmed that everyone was perfectly fine, she stood and, after a swift grooming, padded into the main clearing of the camp.

~Horseripple~

Morning. Why did the devil have to come in this form? If was probably a punishment from StarClan for something his ancestors did many, many moons ago. These were thought that often plagued Horseripples thoughts as he sat outside the warriors den, squinting against the brings sunlight and just trying to wake up.

His gaze flickered around the camp through half closed eyes, wondering how in StarClan the rest of the clan, especially his brother, be so stinking cheerful in the morning. It irked him. Of course, many things irked him. He never had been as cheerful and bubbly as his two siblings. Of course, someone had to drag those two moyse brains out of the clouds as kits. Sometimes literally.

After sitting in his usual place outside the warriors den for a few minutes, his eyes were adjusted to the sunlight and he was at least partially awake, so he padded out of his beloved shadows and into the fray that was clan life.

The two warriors were about to leave with Pheonixpaw when they heard someone asking for Batpaw. "Oh, sorry Geneheart, we haven't... He might've gone out on patrol or something, but he should be back by now..." Singbird replied sympathetically.

"He might've gone hunting though." Stormtail piped up. "I remember when I was an apprentice - a short time nonetheless - I used to sneak around a lot just to rebel." She smiled a bit sheepishly. "I was a bit of a difficult apprentice."

Meadowsong awoke slowly. "C'mon, Wrenkit," she mumbled, nudging him with her nose. "Why don't you go find your littermates? They seem to have left us."
He yawned, stretched, and got to his feet. "Okay..." Padding from the nursery, he turned back to her. "Are you coming?"
She smiled. "Let your mother sleep."

I found the two kits doing what looked like hunting. I crept up on Hummingkit, pouncing on her nad pulling her to the ground.
"You stupid kit!" I snapped placing a paw on her back. "What do you and your brother think you're doing?" I demanded keeping her pinned to the ground.

"I think he went out into the forest, he was muttering something about missing kits as he did." I explained to Genetheart.

~Koikit~The first sun rays crossed the room where two young cats were sleeping. Koikit streched her wings and looked at the window.It was a beautifull sunny morning.Light wind was playing with leafes in the garden and two large colourfull butterflies were chasing each other right in front of her. "Now or never"-she said to herself. Her sister Halcyonpaw always stopped her games in a very interesting place. Koikit had already tried six times to catch her first butterfly when her sister grubbed her, and with angry purring took her home. And now she was sleeping so Koikit slipped outside. The butterflies were still here. She jumped and runned and chasing them she didn't look where she is going. So when she finally look around she realised that she didn't know where she was. She sat on the ground and start meawing for help.
~Halcyonpaw~Woke up with a strange feeling that something was wrong. She looked around meawed crossly.Her young sister Koikit had ran away again. She start calling her again and again but she hadn't anwered. Feelling anxiety growing in her after hour of desperate attempts she went into the camp.

Hummingkit looked up defiantly at Batpaw. "We're hunting!" She flicked her tail at the bird. "See? I already caught one!" She attempted to wriggle out from under the apprentice's paw, but only succeeded in aggravating her various bruises and scrapes. "Ow!"

Wrenkit wandered around the camp. No sign of them. He frowned. "Where'd they go?"

Also, everyone in a Clan pretty much knows each other. Especially when they're both kits, sharing the same nursery, both forced to stay in camp and generally spending a lot of time together. 😋

Batpaw will bring them back soon. Koikit isn"t in the nursery . This week-she sleeps with me- she has bad dreams .But when I woke up I found her ran away again. I caught her six times and now it"s seventh and I can"t find her. If you see her -take her to the nursery please. I"ll go around and look for her. "

Mockingbird was flitting about camp when she heard that Koikit had gone missing. She flew into the forest and scented Koikit. She followed the scent and found her. "Come with me and we'll go to camp!" she said.

"He left camp a few minutes ago." said Crowscar to Genetheart when she noticed that he was looking for Batpaw. "Finchstripe, are we hunting or looking for intruders?" she asked Finchstripe. She was a cat of few words.

"Come with me and we'll go to camp!" she said."I'll never leave camp alone-Koikit said- I promice. Hummingkit swanned up to the Rockpile, a self-satisfied smile on her face and a purr in her throat. She glanced around as if daring anyone to object.

Bumblekit rolled his eyes. Stupid Hummingkit. She didn't even really 'catch her own prey', she just found a stupid half-dead bird through sheer luck.
