New Site, New Waters

Hello everyone! My name is Narvix but you are free to call me Narvy, Vix, Nar, or anything really. I do use other aliases on the web: Jinx, Scattercloak, TechnoCality. I can be found on DragonCave and FelisFire too. Otherwise, I'm just working on assignments for college. Thankfully, the Spring term is just about to end; I only have finals left for the most part.

I wanted to join a place with a bit of variety and this site popped up so I figured I'd give it a go. I like making friends but I always figure myself to be a rather boring person. That being said, if you want to chat or ask questions about hobbies and such (nothing involving too personal information cause that's a no-no 😋), don't hesitate and I'll be sure to make responses ASAP.

I noticed, on your profile, you have side accounts. Could you explain to me about those?

First things first, if you wanna grab the attention of a user on a thread here in the forums, you should 'ping' them. To 'ping' someone, click the bell icon underneath their profile picture or place an '@' before typing in their user name like this.

That way, the user knows you're talking with them. Without a ping, they won't be notified of your reply to them.😊 But only ping those you want to talk to/draw attention to the reply! (And it's only for the forums) Doing that on someone's wall or a creature profile will just link you to the person's profile.

As for side accounts, each user is allowed to have one main account where they do all their activities such as going to the Cave. Side accounts are only for storage.

Some users don't like their main account to have many creatures in their cove so they create accounts to move some of their eggs to that account for storage. Usually, they move the eggs once they're immortal (over level 2000).

A storage account is precisely what it is. You can only put eggs there and you're not allowed to use it to go to the Cave, participate in events, visit the asteroid, etc. But, you're allowed to earn money, buy travels and post on the forums.

Thanks for informing me about the ping 😊 I'd been silently wondering about it.

Anyways, yes, that was very clear and helpful. I tend to be a neat freak so, if my cove grows too cluttered for my liking, I might invest in a side or two |D

I'm curious about the little computer icon in the top right of each post. I tried highlighting it but, all I'm getting about it is that it's JavaScripts. Could you tell me what it is?

That's good to know.^^ I was also wondering if my explanation was sufficient enough.XD

That's precisely the reason I created those storage accounts.>.< I felt that I had too many creatures on my account here and decided I needed to lighten the load. So I moved my immortal commons and double LEs.
Once I immortalize more of my creatures, off to my sides they go.😊

Ah. The computers report the post as spam. The thumbs down reports it as inappropriate or breaking the rules.

Oh I see now. That makes sense with the icon images.

Alright, so I get that the common creatures, those that only require about 100-150 views to hatch (I'm guessing) are immortal once they've reach 2000+. Correct? That being said, do you know the general levels for different rarity groups before creatures hit immortality?

I know, I'm asking questions frequently |D I could probably use the FAQ but I only just now thought of that as I've typed this up. Perhaps then, instead, could you inform me on the common "lingo" or acronyms used on the site?

All creatures become immortal once they reach level 2000.😊 It doesn't involve rarity.

Commons are creatures that are ALWAYS found in the cave. This is not to be confused with 'Monthlies' which appear in the cave every month and retire once the new month starts. Limited editions are those creatures which were released for a period of time and have been retired since.

Rarity is based on how many of those species are currently in existence. So the more of those species on the site, the less rare they are. You can find the rarity ranking here:

The larger the number (going down the list) the more valuable the creature.

Also, each creature requires different stats to hatch or evolve. For example, some need feeds, others clicks and others views. If a creature needs feeds for one stage, they will only need feeds to evolve. They don't change. (ex. clicks to hatch then feeds to evolve. <---- this is a no no)

To find the exact values a creature needs to hatch/evolve, you can check the archives under the explore tab.

Common terms on the site are:

EC: egg coins (currency on the site)
CC: cave cash (real money transferred into the game)
TC: trade center (place to trade creatures)
SaC: science and research center (place to buy certain eggs)
Tim's: food shop (to keep creatures from dying by making happiness 100% for a certain number of days)
TNT: used in the trade center (means 'transfer not trade' so it's a lot to go to the person's side)
LE: limited edition creatures
travel: a background for a creature
SoB: star of bethlehem (a travel)
UFT: up for trade (referring to creatures)
UFA: up for adoption (referring to creatures)
