Ryan felt Vala wake up but then go back to sleep. He smiled as he went back to sleep as he shifted and he buried his nose in her hair, inhaling her scent. He dreamed of her when he fell back to sleep. They were kissing and laughing and having fun like a war wasn't going on around them. Ryan wanted that so bad.

Jay felt a little dizzy as he walked and he thought that Knight probably froze time to do something and that was why he was dizzy. Jay glanced down at Sam and gave a sad smile. "The only time I can hold you know is when you're unconscious or in my dreams" Jay muttered under his breath as he let out a sigh.

When they made it to the camp, Jay was lead into a tent and he realized it was the one Evan was brought to. Jay felt his heart skip a beat when he saw Evan's sleeping face. 'Bad Jay. Sam is in your arms so don't be thinking about other guys' Jay scolded himself as he layed Sam in the bed across from Evan. He told the healers what had happened and they got to work. One could heal bone and could read people thoughts, her name was Cara. The other one's name was Gloria and she could heal cuts of the flesh and restore memory lose. When they were finished they gave Jay a smile and gave Knight a reassuring shoulder squeeze.

"I told you, he'd be alright" Jay stated as he knelt down beside Sam and held his hand tightly. Jay sniffled and blinked his eyes, trying not to cry. 'I'm sorry, Sam' Jay thought as he squeezed Sam's hand and then kissed his forehead before leaving the tent and heading over to a fire. As he stared into the fire, he let his tears finally fall. "Why can't I stop loving him?" Jay murmured to himself as he buried his face in his hands.

Vala awoke mostly refreshed. Ryan was still asleep. She kissed him gently. She left the tent to go grab her bag from another tent. She walked down to a small stream she'd seen yesterday. She washed her hair and face the best she could and walked back to Ryan's tent because it was protected from Damian. She hung a sheet up so she could get dressed.....just in case Ryan woke up. ( 😋 )
She sang softly to her self as she dressed. It was a song Toby taught her. She'd never sang it. Now that he was alive, it felt good. The last piece of him she had, for now. When she was don e, she took the sheet down. She pulled a small book from her bag. It had little pictures in it. It was a book she and Toby kept a secret. They would each have the book for a day and would draw/write anything they wanted. It was her turn to have it when she escaped. The last entry Toby wrote said "I love you and will never leave you" beanth it was a beatitful drawing of a wolf. She kissed the picture and held it to her chest, eyes closed.
She wondered why he wrote that on the day before she left.
'Did he know?' She thought. She sighed and stood up. She felt caged. She plopped back down on the bed this time close to Ryan. She looked at him for a minute. He was so handsome. 'And innoncent,' she didn't know what tondo. No matter what she did, someone got hurt. If she stayed, Toby would get hurt, or even Ryan. It she went, the tailsman would give Damian the power to enter anyone's dream, and find out where they were. 'I'm gonna stay,' she decided. 'I'm not gonna run away from Damian this time.'' Toby was right. She should stay. This time she would listen. She sighed, this time a contented one. Since nobody else was akwake, she went for a walk. She left the tent and surveyed the woods. She stepped into the words. She heard little animals scurrying to and fro. That's why she didn't hear anyone behindher. She took a step forward the same time the person lunged at her. He only succeeded in touching her elbow. She whirled around. She was face to face with Damian's tortures. She cursed under her breath. She switched to a wolf and lunged at the Torturer. His bones crunched under the wolf's weight. She slit his throat. But there were more. She knew. Damian always sent back up. She heard the dart before she saw it. It hit her neck. Whatever was in the dart forced her to switch back to a human. 'No no no not good' she muttered. 3 more Tortures jumped from the trees. Another dart. This time to the shoulder. Her vision blurred. She screamed as lound as she could. hoping to wake some one at the camp. "Ryan!" She screamed "Tyler" she raced towards the camp. She had to get there...or she could lose them. Her vision darkened even more. She swerved through the trees. Finally she seemed to have lost them. She pulled thedarts out. She tried figuring out where she was. She hauled her self up a tree she looked all around. She saw the camp. She had be going the wrong way. She climbed back down and started off again, slowly. Her vision still blurry and black and was getting worse. She barley made it to the camp when she got really week. She called out "help," though she knew nobody could hear her. She collapsed at the edge of the clearing. Her breath ragged, and was dizzy. She felt calm though as she slipped into a dreaming state. Toby was there again in her dream. "Oh my God!" "Are you OK?" He asked
"You can see me?"
"of course Vala" he ssmiled "what Happened?"
"Torturers" she whispered. Finally she dropped her pride. "Toby I'm scared" tears formed in her eyes
"Hey hey," Toby reached out. "Its OK" he hugged her
"I can feel you!" She cried
"Yes you can, don't worry your scream work, someone is coming"
"Don't leave me," she whispered
"I'm right here, don't worry shhh relax, breathe"
She breathed.
"Your okay, I can't stay much longer, it makes me weak to do this. No matter how you feel, don't try sitting up."
Toby's image fizzed away. She felt vulnerable. She was scared of that the most. Her head started pounding, and she felt sick. "Ryan," she whispered

Knight had followed close behind Jay when he left. When Jay broke down, he piped up.

"He loves you, you know?" he said softly. " can see it in his eyes. Ben...he's just gonna hurt Sam."

Knight felt choked up and lost. He moved closer to Jay and suddenly wrapped his arms around him. Knight cried into his chest.

"Chris, I.." Rosemary leaned forward. "I've missed you, so much.." He didn't know what more to say. He wished he could stay there in her arms for the rest of all eternity. He wanted to point out the obvious, to tell her they need to go find Sam now, but he knew others had already done that. "Um.. Have you seen around this place yet?" He asked her, not trying to change the subject, but to make polite conversation. "Do you think someone could show me around?" Realising he was jumping to conclusions, he hurriedly said, "If I can stay, of course!"

Toby paced the room restlessly. It was a normal dorm room, for the most part. Except it was locked. Damian didn't bother putting him in a room that blocked his powers. He thought Toby was too weak.
'You are wrong Damian, very wrong indeed' Toby smirked. He just had to work up enough energy to switch to a falcon for at least 2 hours. So far he had 1 1/2. Life was pretty boring. He wasn't allowed any roommates in case they planned something together. He was fine with that. Vala always joked with him saying he was his own mastermind. He had to escape. He needed to keep Vala and the talisman safe. He still felt her pasted out on the forest floor. Besides that, everything was as normal as it could be. He plopped down on the bed, his back against the wall. He would wait for the daily battle of wits when Damian came back.

Ryan shot up from his sleep when he heard the first scream. He quickly ran from his tent, trying to pinpoint where she was. He knew it was Vala, not because of his powers but because he just knew. Ryan ran towards where his gut told him to go and he saw her on the ground. This time, he really thought she was dead. He slowed his steps as horrible thoughts flashed through his mind but he kept shaking them away. "She can't be..." he murmured as he made it to where she laid. He took her in his arms and as soon as he touched her, he knew she was alive. He sighed in relief but didn't stay where he was. He cradled Vala in his arms as he made it back to his tent. Once there he layed her down and kissed her forehead. "You're alright now" he whispered as he curled up around her and buried his face in her neck, inhaling her scent.

Jay was a little surprised to hear the words that came from Knight's mouth and when he heard the other guy's name, he felt enraged but when Knight started crying into his chest and holding himself close to Jay, all the thoughts of rage vanished. Jay held the boy close and rubbed his back, soothingly. "It's alright. You're safe" Jay whispered to Knight as he stared into the fire, thinking about what Knight said. 'So he does still love me...' Jay thought as he sniffled, his tears dried up for now.

Chris curled herself against Rosemary's chest as he held her and when he asked if someone could show him around the camp, she looked up and smiled up at him. "It's late, Rosemary. Why not wait til tomorrow" Chris answered with a yawn. She then realized then that she was tired. "Come on, I'll show you our tent" Chris yawned as she took Rosemary's hand.

Vala rolled over. She looked at Ryan who was laying next to her. She wrapped her left arm around his waist.
"Ugh. Worst. Dream. Ever" she groaned. She tried propping her self on her right arm.she couldn't move it
"What the?.... [yeep] that wasn't a dream was it was is ." She pulled herself against Ryan. She kissed him firmly
"Ryan? Promise me. Never left me go. Hold on to me no matter what" she burried her face in his chest . "I love you too much to leave" she confessed
"I'm so scared now.... about what the heck is going to happen. But whatever it is, I want you to help me, please."
She gave a sad smile.

To Toby's surprise, Damian didn't come that day. He knew Vala was fine, so he relaxed. His power was finally where he wanted it to be. All he had to do was wait till some one opened the door.

Damian's head pounded. He needed to lay down. That scumbag Toby would wait till tomorrow. He slipped under his sheets and passed out into a dream less sleep.

Ryan held Vala close as he listened to her speak and when she finished his kissed her lips gently. "I promise to never let you and help you in all the ways I can." He promised as he kissed her forehead and stroked her hair and rubbed her back. "But Vala promise me that you will stay with me through all of this...I can't lose my only love" Ryan whispered as he kissed Vala's cheek.

Tyler had heard the screams and he was trying to get up from bed but Will just wouldn't let him leave. "No Ty, if you leave all the monsters will eat me and then you'll be all alone" Will whined as he wrapped his arms around Tyler's torso and made sure Tyler couldn't get up. "Fine..." Tyler muttered as he gave up and layed back in the bed. Will smiled in victory as he curled back up against Tyler. "Ryan, will get her so don't beat yourself up about it" Will reassured Tyler as he yawned and nuzzled his head in the crook of Tyler's neck. Tyler smiled as he heard Will's cute little yawn but he found himself yawning too and closing his eyes to fall back to sleep.

Vala sighed and kissed Ryan back,
"Thank you. I promise i wont leave you "
"Now i got to get something from my bag" she pushed herself off the bed and rummaged through her bag. Using her left arm, she pulled out a vial. She had found it the first time Ryan saved her, 5 years ago. She was convinced toby knew she was leaving. Using her teeth, she pulled the cap off and drank half of the yellow liquid.
"Special mix for Toutures dart mix" she explained. She noted Ryan's confused face.
" um ya i have alot to explain dont i?" She smiled. "OK...where to start..OK so I have this friend, Toby, he helped protect me from the boys in the dorms. Some, uh, really bad things would have happened of Toby wasn't there. Anyway we were in the same dorm room. So it helped. He and Damian, the guy who attacked me yesterday, ALWAYS fought, and usually there was blood. So one day, Toby hurt Damian really bad, so Damian decided to take it out on me. During our daily fights, he some how faced me. He is able to transmit some memories that really hurt. Like someone he knew got attacked by a tiger. His friend was really hurt. So he sent that memory at me. It causes some bad scars." Vala pulled up the hem of her shirt. 5 red scars painted her stomach. She pulled the hem down. The she pointed to her neck and pulled up her sleeves. More scars.
"The next day, he snapped my arm. Luckily, they had a healer that sped up the healing. I think her name was Cat or something. Then Toby NEVER left my side. Until Damian decided to take me home. He said it would be good for me. I was skeptical, but I was only 11 so I didn't know better. He did bring me to my home town. He handed me a torch and told me to throw it on the nearest house. I-i didn't. So he shoved me towards the house and I stumbled and dropped the torch. I tried picking it up but it burned me. A-and the house was engulfed in flames. And the soldiers started throwing more and more torches on the houses. The whole town was burned in about 30 minutes. I was sobbing the whole way home. Damian threw me back towards the dorms. I flew in and Toby was right there. He just picked me up and rocked me back and forth, he didn't ask any questions. Just waited till I was calm enough to tell him what happened. The next day when Damian and Toby fought, Toby beat the pulp out of him. That was the last straw. Damian finally snapped and commanded that Toby be sent to war. He refused to. He was beaten everyday, and I was told he died, because he was weak. I was a mess for a long time. I decided to leave. I tried like 4 times. On the 5th, I found a pack under my pillow. It had a book, this vial, some clothes, stuff like that. I didn't know where I came from, but that night I left. I got really far till I collapsed from exhaustion. Then you found me." Vala looked up and smiled.
"Then yesterday, Damian's ferret hopped on my lap, he usually sent it into my dorm to nip me as I slept.
So anyway, yesterday, he sent me those memories, all the ones I tried so hard to forget." Tears formed in her eyes.
"He wants something called a tailsman which is a special person who can go into anyone's dreams and find out where they are, as long as you have someone like Toby. Toby and I could find all the supper naturals if we wanted to. Which is why he wants me so bad.
And last night, Toby entered my dream and told me to stay with you. He thinks you doing a great job keeping me safe." She smiled and sat on the edge of the bed
"But today he sent Tortures today to try to bring me back. They shot me with two darts. One prevents me from switching and using my powers, the other numbs whatever it hits. I think they were aiming for my chest, which would completely numb my whole body, preventing me from moving. Then I ran and I think I lost them. They won't come into camp until Damian orders them to. So yeah, that catches us up to where we are now." She tried moving her arm. Vala winced. "Ow yup it usually hurts like its broken" she crawled back to Ryan's side, clutching her arm, teeth clenched

Knight sat close to Jay. Looking up at him, he suddenly realized he wasn't moving.


"You have to keep this under control Knight," he thought to himself."But sometimes you do need the world to just stop."

When Sam woke up it was because of a pounding headache. In fact, pain wise, it felt as though he was getting hit in the head with a hammer.

Sitting up, he groaned in pain. Looking around he had no idea where he was.

"Knight?" he said softy. He was in a tent with a hospital gown on. Next to him was his clothes folded up nicely with his sneakers on top. Sliding off the bed, Sam moved over to the pile. Quickly, ignoring the pain, he threw on his clothes, and draped the hospital gown over the chair. After he got his shoes on, he limped out of the tent. Looking around, he saw no one. Close by he could see the light of a camp fire.

Suddenly, he heard shrieking coming form that direction.

When Knight resumed time it was aparant that Jay wa sin pain. KNight new the side affects of stopping time (i.e. fatugue, headaches), but when he stood up he felt all wobbly. He had no control of his footsteps. He could hear Jay talking, but couldnt make out the words. Knight took one shaky step, and suddeny passed out. He landed right into the fire.

His scream pierced the air.

Jay lept forward when he saw Knight begin to sway but he wasn't fast enough to catch him from falling into the fire. Jay quickly pulled Knight out, burning himself in the process but not really worrying about himself. He put ice all over Knight's body so the burns could chill while he ran to the healer's tent. He saw Sam not to far from the tent and he averted his gaze as he ran into the tent. The healers were waiting and their faces were grim. Jay gently laid Knight on a bed and glanced at the healers. "When I take the ice away, y'all better be ready" Jay stated as he waved a hand over Knight, removing the ice, and the healers quickly got to work.

"Good thing you were close by, he could have died." Gloria murmured as she waved her hands over Knight, healing him as best she could. "We're going to need, James" Cara whispered to Gloria, her face grim. They both nodded and Gloria healed the rest of Knight that she could before they both left the tent.

Jay blamed himself for what had happened to Knight. 'If only I'd been a little faster, then he wouldn't even be here' Jay thought as he sat down on the bed next to Knight's, hoping to see the boy open his eyes and say something. As Jay waited, his appearance returned to normal but he still had his new powers.

Ryan listened to Vala's story closely and was pained to hear what she had gone through. When she crawled back over to him, he looked at her with concern. He held her close and was careful to not hit her injured arm. "I'm so sorry, Angel" Ryan whispered as he rubbed her back and hummed a soothing lulluby.

Sam was so conflicted. He wanted to go to Knight, ebcause he saw Jay carrying him, but the way Jay avoided him. Sam's heart ached, so he ran. He ran. Ignoring all the pain, he ran. He ran through the camp, through the woods, never stopping. He ran until his lungs were burning more than fire. His legs were weak and he collapsed, panting.

"Sam?" a deep, baritone voice asked. Barley moving, Sam waved his hand. It was Ben. Sam didn't have time for Ben. "Come on Sam. Let's get you out of the woods. We need to talk...at the camp."

Sam only nodded weakly as Ben's skinny body lifted Sam up. He was too tired to care.

Cat had fallen asleep as a tiger and when she woke with a yawn, she heard voices. They were close but not that close. She stood up and stretched before stalking off towards the sounds. She saw Sam with some man when she got close enough to see. Cat got a bad feeling about him and she couldn't help but lunge forward and pounce on the man. She snarled in his face and pinned him down. She didn't want to hurt him but she had a feeling he would hurt her. She could practically smell his powers and she knew she was a lost cause against this guy.

As Jay waited, he realized he was back to himself and he jumped up and ran from the tent for Sam. He could see the burns from pulling Knight from the fire and holding him but he could hardly feel them, all he wanted was Sam. When Jay couldn't find Sam, he realized that he had probably run off because he probably thought Jay was avoiding him. As Jay thought it through, he realized that's probably what Sam had done and he took off towards the woods, following his gut. He heard something snarl and figured it was his sister. He took off towards the sound and slowed when he saw his sister over Ben. Jay smirked because he knew the guy was probably getting what was coming to him. Jay moved and crouched behind a tree as close as he could to Sam. Then when he thought he couldn't be seen, he quickly jumped from behind the tree and pulled Sam behind it with him. Jay held Sam close as he peeked behind the tree to see what was going to happen with Ben and his sister.

Sam was so startled and so weak that he looked at Jay with shock. Shakily, he placed his hands onto jays face.

"Jay.." He breathed, softly. "What are you...what is hap..."

Sam suddenly kissed Jay lightly, but long.

Ben raised his arms up the best he could.

"I'm no harm to anyone I promise!" He shouted out. Suddenly he turned invisible and Cat fell through him.

Suddenly the hood on Sam's hoodie was yanked roughly. Sam was being dragged through the woods quite quickly. Ben was running at full speed which was much faster than anyone.

"Jay!" Sam let out a strangled cry as the trees blurred by them

Vala bolted out of the tent hearing the scream, she ignored her arm. She was finally able to switch to a wolf. She panted as she reached the healers tent. Knight was fine.
"Oh thank god" she was about to head back to the tent when she heard a growl. She shot off towards the woods. She saw the boy Sam being pulled by...nothing? "Invisibility" she muttered. If she times it perfectly, she could aim for the top of Sam's head and hit who ever was pulling him. She ran as fast as she could, ignoring the pain. She jumped. Some one groaned. Not Sam. 'Good' she thought. She kept the person pinned until he turned visible.
"No one leaves this camp" she growled.
"Who sent you?? Damian?"

Toby heard foot steps and raced to turn on the shower. He had the pack he needed. He had ah a little 'help' from someone who owed him. He swung the bag on his back so it would be around his wings. He switched and perched on the molding above the door. It swung open. Damian walked in. Toby swooped down and out the door. Damian never realized until he check the shower. Toby soared through the halls
'Thank god I know my way around' after about 5 minutes, he saw the door. The were automatic. They hissed open. He shot out of them.
"Stupid Damian!" He screeched. He flew fast till the prison was almost gone. 'Now to Vala' he smiled. He missed being free.

Ben was a little shaken up by the girl. He turned to metal so he couldn't get hurt. She suddenly was thrown off of him. He jumped up and wiped his shirt.

"Don't know any Damian."

He suddenly grabbed the dazed Sam and threw him over his shoulder. Sam tried to hit him and get out of his grasp.

Knight had trouble breathing, and he coughed and wheezed. The pain he was in was horrible. He saw white spots in front of his eyes.

Vala was thrown off of the boy.
"come back!" they were too far gone. "ahh!" irritation filled her voice. she stalked back to the tent and plopped face first on the bed.

Jay was about to lean into the kiss but then Sam was pulled away from him. Jay snarled as he watched Sam be pulled away from him again. He started to run after him but his sister stopped him with a shake of her head. "I can't lose him again" Jay exclaimed, his voice choked.

Cat understood what Jay was going through but she knew Jay wouldn't get Sam back if he went after him. "Just wait. You can go after him when you know he has returned to the compound" Cat stated as she turned to go but then she realized she had no where to go. She glanced back at Jay and smiled. "Mind showing me to the camp?" Cat asked.

Jay knew Cat was right but he felt he had to go after Sam now. He didn't go though, he knew if he did he would probably lose Sam forever. He chuckled when his sister asked to show him the way to the camp because usually she was the one showing the way to things. He grabbed her hand and began to run back to the camp. When he got there he remembered Knight and he brought his sister to the tent to see if she could help him. When he got there, he dropped his sister's hand and ran to Knight's bedside. He could clearly see the boy's pain and wanted to help him but Jay knew he couldn't. "Kitty, help him" Jay whined as he felt his eyes tears up. 'All my fault...' Jay thought as he stared down at the burned boy.

Cat was about to step forward and help when a man or an older boy came into the tent and rushed past her.

James stared down at Knight assessing his wounds and his face became grim. "I can help with some of the burns and the pain but I'll need your energy, Jay and Valarie" James exclaimed as he gripped Knight's hand. James closed his eyes in pain as he began to pull the pain and burns from Knight's body.

Jay didn't like seeing James in pain so he gripped Jame's other hand and lent his energy. He motioned for his sister to help too and she came and put her hand on top of James's. Together the three of them helped heal Knight but were wearing away in the process.

Ryan jumped up to go after Vala but for some reason he got very lightheaded and dizzy and he fell down. He hit his head on something hard and blacked out.

One of the soldiers from outside Ryan's tent heard Ryan fall and he rushed inside. He found Ryan with his head starting to bleed out from hitting his desk. The guard quickly picked Ryan up and laid him on the bed. He then ran and called for a healer. People from all over the camp heard of Ryan being hurt and they rushed to see what had happened. They all waited outside the tent to hear if Ryan was alright.

Gloria heard of Ryan being hurt and she quickly grabbed Cara as they both ran for the tent. "Him getting hurt is a rare sight..." Gloria murmured as she pushed through the crowd to the tent. "Yes, I wonder what happened" Cara whispered as they made it into the tent and rushed to Ryan's side. They instantly got to work, hoping Ryan would wake up when they were done.

Knight awoke, gasping for air. He pushed everybody away from him and landed on the ground. Panting he shakily got up. Suddenly he realized they weren't moving. Swearing to himself, he sprinted out of the camp. He resume time when he got far enough away.

"no no no not Ryan" she pushed her way past the people. she flew to Ryans side. "oh god, wake up!" she held his hand as the healers attempted to help him. tears fell from her face.

Cat looked around at James and Jay, her head hurting and she felt lightheaded. She looked down at the bed,expecting to see Knight but nothing was there. His scent was there and it wasn't that fresh. 'Time travel?' Cat thought as she glanced at the tent entrance.

"We helped him so don't worry" James stated as he gave Cat a side hug and then he left.

"I've got to go after him" Cat exclaimed as she began to head for the woods but Jay caught her arm. She glanced back at him and gave her a reassuring smile. "But...what if he gets lost or something?" Cat asked as she went to her brother and hugged him.

Jay caught his sister's arm before she left and then gave her a reassuring smile so she wouldn't just leave. When she hugged him, he knew she just felt scared for Knight and herself. "If he gets lost, we'll know about it...don't worry, Val" Jay whispered as he rubbed his sister's back and then he took her hand and began to pull her from the tent. He say a crowd around Ryan's tent and wanted to approach but Cat pulled him in the opposite direction, towards the woods. "Val, what are you doing?" Jay asked as he followed after her.

Cat let Jay pull her along but when he began to step towards Ryan's tent, she pulled him towards the woods. She wanted to go after Knight and Jay wouldn't agree unless she said he could save Sam in the process of saving Knight. Also Cat wanted to go back to the compound so she could get Layla. When Jay asked what they were doing she turned and smirked at him. "We're going on a rescue mission" Cat answered as she shifted into a tiger and took off towards the compound and the fading scent of Knight.

Jay didn't have time to argue when his sister took off but he went after her, using his ice powers to slide along the grass rather than running. He chuckled at how much like Ice Man he was being right now. "All I need is the icy skin" Jay exclaimed as he examined his hand and sighed with relief when he saw his human skin. He eventually caught up to his sister and she glanced up at him and winked before speeding up. Jay kept up with her the whole time.

Ryan could ftelevised being pulled back up into the light but the light burned and something kept pulling him back down. "You can't stay with her...she weakens you" a voice hissed as it yanked his arm one way. "Yes Vala weakens you...she will be the end of you if you stay together" another voice hissed in a more feminine tone and then yanked him the other way. He screamed in pain and the scream managed to bring him back to reality. He sat up in bed, gasping for breath. His heart was racing and he was sweating profusely. He saw Gloria and Cara on one side and Vala on the other. He could feel her sadness and frowned when he saw her tears. He sat up and quickly wiped then away and softly kissed her lips. "I'm alright" Ryan whispered as he stared into her eyes. He didn't care what those voices said, he wouldn't...no couldn't stay away from Vala. He loved her too much to leave her and plus he had made a promise to her and he didn't break his promises.

Layla never actually made it to her dorm. She had stopped in a hallway, forgetting where to go and decided to head back. She chuckled at herself when she found herself back at the compound entrance. "I can remember how to get back to the entrance but not the dorms..." Layla sighed with a chuckle as she pulled the sweater tighter around herself. As she headed back to the cafeteria, the alarm went off. But instead of getting ready for the search party, she just slipped into the cafeteria and grabbed another cup of coffee and a breakfast try with lots of bacon. She sighed as she bit into a piece of bacon and took a sip of her coffee. "Hopefully no one will find me..." Layla murmured as she looked around, she was sitting at a corner table in dim lighting and no one else was in here. She just hoped that was enough to keep her safe.

Sam had passed out on Ben's shoulder. Ben sowed to a walk, and panting, he approached the camp. After he enetered and walked through a series of hallways, he finally entered a room. There were no windows, and ony one door. There were a number of men and women in lab coats.

"Get him ready," Ben said, placing Sam down on what looked like a dentists chair. The people nodded as he left the room. "I need to find the other one."

Knight was now panting, gasping for air. He fell to the forest floor, trying to catch his breath. Sitting up, he decided to make a plan. Suddenly, however, Knight got this strange sense of loneliness. Like he was lost. Panic over took him and suddenly he was screaming for help.

"Jay! Sam!" he screamed. Birds flew away as his voice ripped through the woods. The shout sounded panicked. Next thing he knew, he blacked out.

Cat skidded to a halt when she heard a scream echo through the woods. "Knight" She snarled as she began to run towards that direction as fast as she could.

Jay stopped when his sister did and when she began to run in another direction he followed her as he followed her, he began to smell the scents of Knight. "Please be okay" Jay murmured as he picked up his pace too and when he saw a body lying on the ground, he slid to halt beside him and fell to his knees. He took Knight in his arms and looked into his face. "He's okay" Jay breathed as he gently pulled the hair from Knight's hair and stood up.

Cat gasped when she saw Jay go faster than her and then she shifted back to human when she watched Jay hold Knight in his arms. "Jay, I've got him. Go get Sam" Cat exclaimed as she stood in front of her brother and took Knight into her arms.

Jay was reluctant to leave when Knight was in his sister's arms but his gut was telling him if he didn't hurry to Sam something bad would happen. So he ran without looking back and he used his ice powers when he grew to tired to run. When the compound came into view, he took a deep breath. "I'm here, Sam" Jay whispered to the air around him as he ran towards the compound and through the side entrance, which brought him to the cafeteria. Once inside, he looked around and saw an empty table with warm food and a steaming cup of coffee. 'Someone's close by' Jay thought as he slowly crept around the cafeteria and looked for signs of movement. Then he felt a slight burn on his neck and he smacked at it and felt him hit something. He took the thing in his hand and found a fairy sized Layla. "Layla...are you alright?" Jay asked as he set her on a table.

Layla had been in the middle of taking another sip of coffee from her cup when she heard the side door being opened. She quickly turned into a fairy and fluttered around the room. Then when she saw the stranger enter the cafeteria, she got a feeling of nostalgia. She quickly shook it off and fluttered over to this stranger. Then she shocked his neck. She felt her wing crinkle under the impact of the stranger smacking her against his neck. She tried to get up when she felt the boy take her in his hand and when he spoke her name, she knew he was someone she knew. When he layed her on a table, she quickly morphed back into her human form and she gaped at the boy before her. "Who are you? Why do you know my name?" Layla asked as she narrowed her eyes at him.

Jay quickly ignored her questions as he glanced out the cafeteria door into the hallway. "That's not important. Right now we need to get to Sam. He's in danger" Jay exclaimed as he took Layla's hand and pulled her along with him.

Layla stumbled off the table after Jay and she stared wide-eyes at him as they moved along. "Ethan..." She breathed out his name like he was supposed to be dead. She only knew it was him by the love that shined in his eyes when he said Sam's name. "Okay, well how can I help?" Layla asked as she gripped Jay's hand tightly.

Jay smiled slightly when he realized Layla knew who he was and he smiled a little bigger when she said she would help. "Could you shift into your fairy form again?" Jay asked as he peeked out the doorway.

Layla frowned as she glanced back at her wing. "Well...I don't think so because you sorta bent my wing when you hit me" Layla mumbled.

Jay turned around and glanced at her wing. He then moved his hands over them and misted frost over the crinkle in her wing. "That should hold for awhile" Jay stated as he took Layla's hand again and pulled her into the hallway, using his gut to try and find Sam.

Layla fluttered her wing once Jay had fixed it. She smiled as he pulled her along. 'He fixed it' Layla thought and thanked him mentally as she looked around she realized where they were going. "This is the Science Wing, this is where they have experiments done and stuff like that" Layla whispered as a shudder ran though her. If this is where Sam was, they had a limited time to get to him.

Jay shuddered and growled when he heard what Layla said. 'I knew this hallway looked familiar..' Jay thought as he recalled the memory of what had happened. They had been trying to put something into his brain but he just wouldn't let them have it. So he used all of his energy to either kill them or knock them unconscious. Then he escaped and hadn't been back here until he came here with Chris to rescue Sam and Rosemary. Just the thought of that happening to Sam killed Jay and he picked up his pace.

Layla slipped out of Jay's grip and changed back into her fairy form and slipped into a crack in the Science Room. She shuddered when she saw Sam. He was unconscious and was attached to the chair by metal bars. Layla glanced around at the scientists. There wasn't that many but she couldn't take them like she was so she slipped back out into the hallway and went to Jay. She sat on his shoulder and told him about what was inside.

Jay listened to what Layla said and then formed an ice shield on his arm and headed into the room after Layla had shifted back into a human and followed closely behind him. Once inside, Jay shot ice blades at any scientist nearby and Layla shot lightning at the others.

((Don't know what else to do for Jay and Layla so I'll leave it at that))

Ryan held Vala close and motioned for Gloria and Cara to give him some privacy. They nodded their heads and quickly left. Once they were gone, Ryan turned back to Vala and sighed. "I don't know exactly what happened but I do know that being in close contact with someone with such raw emotion can weaken me and that certain someone is you" Ryan explained as he stroked Vala's cheek and stared into her eyes. "A voice in my vision said you would be the end of me..." Ryan whispered as he averted his gaze from Vala. He did believe that but he wouldn't listen to it, he loved Vala too much to just let her go.

Sam had already been injected with some highly leathel things. When then shot the scientists, one of the men accidentally hit and IV that was coming out of his arm. Suddenly, Sam was seizing up, his eyes rolled to the back of his head. Electricity shot through the air. It looked like Sam was an X-Ray; they could see every bone in his body.

Knight woke up in Cat's arms. He shouted and pushed away form her. Falling to the ground, he grunted loudly. Jumping up, he shouted.

"Get away! I have to help!" Knight said, dodging Cat and running through the woods. The branches scraped by his face, cutting it. Suddenly he stopped. Ahead was a tall looming figure. Turning around, he sprinted back to Cat. "Never mind!"

Ben chased after Knight. Using his invisibility, he snuck up on the two. He flung Cat into a tree and ran into Knight. Hoisting up onto his shoulder, Knight suddenly bit right into his shoulder.

Swearing loudly, Ben threw Knight down.

"I'll just get rid of you right here and now," Ben said, lunging towards Knight, who was cowering on the ground.

Vala gasped at what Ryan said.
"I-I told you I should leave. Is there anyhing I could do?" Tears formed in her eyes.
A falcon screeched outside the tent.
"I just need to see Vala!" Both Ryan and Vala looked up.
"Vala some one is here to see you" a guard said, pokimg his head in. Toby stumbled in. Vala cover her mouth. Tears fell from her face. She stood up. She felt like she was In a dream. She stumbled into Toby's arms and sobbed. Her body shaking. Toby scooped her up
"Shh your fine," he consoled. Vala loved his voice. She practically went into shock. Toby laid her on the bed next to Ryan. She clutched his hand and closed her eyes. She took slow, deep breathes and tried to process what happened in the last 10 minutes.
"Oh uh, you must be Ryan, I'm Toby." He smiled.

Damian organized a search party to hunt down Toby. Tracked wouldn'thelp since he had tturnen into a falcon.
He paced restlessly.

Ryan stared at Toby with curiosity and jealousy. He could feel the love radiating off Vala when she looked up Toby and it angered him. "Yes I'm Ryan and you must be Toby, the boy who helped Vala when she was at the compound" Ryan stated as he held Vala's hand tightly in his, afraid she would just leave him for Toby.

Vala felt Ryan's hand close around hers. She didn't need a special power to know he was jealous. She squeezed his hand.
Toby notice Ryan holding Vala's hand. He didn't feel jealous, just protective. Vala was bacially his sister. He didn't want some jerk playing with her mind.
"You seem to have done a good job keeping Vala safe. Thanks," he smiled and sat on the edge of bed
"My fragile wolf here needs shelter."
Vala sat up and slammed Toby in the arm.
"Oww," Toby winced "defiently not fragile any more." He felt sad. It made him feel like Vala no longer need him. It hurt his brother instinct. And maybe more

Ryan was getting a headache from these two and the emotions radiating off him. 'I guess I still haven't recovered from my incident earlier' Ryan thought as he glanced at Toby and then Vala. He closed his eyes tightly in pain and squeezed Vala's hand tightly. When he opened his eyes again everything was fuzzy and spinning. "Vala, its happening again" Ryan muttered as he pulled away from Vala and tried to leave the room but then he swayed and fell to his knees. He could start to hear the voices from his vision again and they chanted "Leave her" over and over again. "Stop" Ryan sobbed as he held his head and tears of pain and sadness fell down his cheeks.

Ryan pulled away from Vala and hit the floor. Vala and Toby raced to his side and toby picked him up and hauled him into the bed. 'This is ally fault' thought Vala.
"I'll go get the healers" she told Toby. She picked up her bag and bolted from the tent. She did stop at the healers tent.
"Its Ryan again." She panted . the healers pushed past her and raced towards the tent. Then she took off. Far away from where she caused problems. Far away. She was going too fast for any tears to fall so the blurred her vision. She hoped they would be okay.

Toby moved aside as the healers rushed in to their tent . It took him quite some t time to realize both Vala and her bag was gone. By the time anyone did, it would be too late
