Creature names question

First, sorry if this is already asked. Second, why must creatures' names be unique? I mean, why can't there be more than one creature named "Susy" and stuff like that. All the name I really like are taken. 😱 Is this for easier identification?

Yes, it's easier for identifcation. If you look to the right, there's a Search there. We have User, Creature, and Forum.
I recommend looking if the name is taken yet by looking there first. Each creature has a unique name so it's easy to find if you trade it and don't remember the ID of it.

Besides, many of us collect names, and they are a big part of EC's economy. I think it'd be too detrimental to the market if we were to take away unique names at this point (and no, I'm not just saying this because I have a huge collection).
