How would I //try// to change it from my home, not downloading something?Or, something safe download-able I don't know OTLI don't know where to start looking to see if I can do it - google is not helping me atm*~*~*~*After looking into my computer, it says I have a dynamic IP. Now what? XD

I've got the luxury of 2 IP's, but only because I have my own wi-fi + some unsecured wi-fi that my wireless adapter finds when it scans for networks...
cafe • 18 August 2011 at 12:58 AM
o-o Bump?
smartie2742 • 18 August 2011 at 1:47 AM
I don't think it's possible... Never heard of it ever being done anyway.
cafe • 18 August 2011 at 1:54 AM
@smartie2742It is, that's now people feed more than once a day
pipkitten • 18 August 2011 at 1:59 AM
@Cafe: Are you using a little wireless USB adapter, by any chance?
cafe • 18 August 2011 at 2:01 AM
o_oErmIs it the thing that plugs into the brain and connects to our wifi, then yes.

@pipkittenForgot to ping
icymuffin • 18 August 2011 at 2:02 AM
Mmm~~ I've read somewhere that it's risky unless if yours already does that naturally. I don't know myself though.Best if you just go to the library and get a "second try" if you know what I mean.
pipkitten • 18 August 2011 at 2:08 AM
@Cafe / @Mochi: I think you're talking about the cord from the router to the computer, but to clear up the confusion, a USB adapter looks like this (there are different variations, but they all follow similar designs)...http://0.tqn.com/d/mobileoffice/1/0/t/E/belkin-n-wireless-usb-adapter-pg.jpg
cafe • 18 August 2011 at 2:12 AM
@pipkittenThat's not oursOurs says "Netgear USB adapter" [It's attached to a cord] and it's somehow hooked up to our wifi? XD
pipkitten • 18 August 2011 at 2:21 AM
@Cafe: Ooh! Yours is just a different brand. ^^ Does your computer have Windows XP or a newer Windows version?
cafe • 18 August 2011 at 2:22 AM

pipkitten • 18 August 2011 at 2:26 AM

cafe • 18 August 2011 at 2:32 AM
@pipkitten Lemme finish switching around my trades XD
pipkitten • 18 August 2011 at 2:36 AM
@Cafe: Haha, okay. ^^
cafe • 18 August 2011 at 2:40 AM
@pipkittenDone đ¸
pipkitten • 18 August 2011 at 2:42 AM
@Cafe: All-righty. đ After doing those 3 steps, look at what networks the adapter is picking up. If there are more than just yours, do any of them say "Unsecured wireless network" under their names?
cafe • 18 August 2011 at 2:45 AM
It's not giving anything xDOur internet comes from the netgear that's attached to our wifi. the computer only shows if we have a connection [Weird I know.]I guess I can't do itEhh. I'll live - though I'm a tad dissapointed
pipkitten • 18 August 2011 at 2:48 AM
@Cafe: How odd! ...Since it only shows if you've got a connection, I'm afraid I can't help you after all... Sorry! D:
scorch_cloud222 • 18 August 2011 at 3:12 AM
By changing computers. That's the easiest way. But changing IP addresses is playing kinda dirty, don't you think?
dionaea • 18 August 2011 at 3:13 AM
I can only feed twice if I go to University, the network there & the one at home have different IP'sMy feeds haven't reset yet *annoyed* đ
cafe • 18 August 2011 at 3:16 AM
@scorch_cloud222It's not playing dirty o_OIan said it's okay
glados • 18 August 2011 at 5:31 PM
I do think changing IP addresses is not fair. đBut that's MY opinion. >~<
scarlettsong • 18 August 2011 at 6:52 PM
I don't know how âšī¸
chatial • 18 August 2011 at 7:27 PM
Changing your IP isn't fair, but how I do it is that I go on my phone and turn off the internet then turn it back on.And it changes.If you unplug your computer for a little while it should change.But I don't know if that work or not.
