I am pretty worried about going to work experience for the next week (Monday to Friday).

I have done a week (Monday to Friday) in a primary school this week, and I thoroughly enjoyed it, I had a year two class (Year 1 on wednesday) and was pretty much acting as a TA in the class helping with the work of the students and spending time with them at lunch- pretty much just finding out about the workings of a (primary) school from the teacher's point of view rather than the student's.

For next week (starting tomorrow, of course) I am going to my secondary school where I am a Year 10 pupil at the moment. I have been there all four years of secondary, so I know the school and teachers- I am only going to be in one building the whole time which is the performing arts department (specifically music). I am scared of what the students in the class will do and how they will act towards me. If I get a Year 9 class to be in at any point, I will only be a year older than any of the students and girls at our school (It's an all-female school) don't care at all for respecting others and following orders.

I am seriously hoping that the teacher (the one who offered me the place in the department is my music teacher, I also have the other music teacher for my other music lessons) will give me more 'stock work' like carrying messages to other classes or moving things around the department, helping with setups etc. My confidence is way down for anyone who is not below Year 7. I am just totally freaking out it will be another week of free reign in the classroom because I know they won't take kindly to me trying to help them and will probably get sarcastic and use a nasty attitude just because I am not a trained teacher (It is, after all, only my SECOND WEEK doing this kind of thing, I am not that experienced at all 😋)

I just want to know what you think and what you think they will have me do? I can play piano (not very well in my opinion) and the teachers know I have terrible nerves so they don't force me to play in front of people, but I want to know what they might give me otherwise and if other people are in the same boat?

Sorry for the long post 😋
