@sarahzafirah @kurochi-akuma @ashlinnhi"It's your choice whether or not you're going to put forward a good attitude or not, but remember a good attitude is going to get you a lot farther in life." Ms. Hartman chided gently. She was right, of course, Quick thought, but I'm really not feeling it right now."Right. Thanks, Ms. Hartman." He didn't have the heart to give her sass; she was always too nice.He left the school, already having everything he needed in his worn bag slung across his chest and hanging at his side. There was a relatively unused park a ways away from here that Quick headed to. It was quiet in a lonely sort of way, and he liked it. There were a few good places to perch on the small playground, and there was no one to bother him most days.

@poe @kurochi-akuma @ashlinnhi[Gravity]I pulled myself away from Millie and ran towards the boy. There was something strange about him, and I couldn't place it. Curiosity kills the cat, but it can't stop me from investigating. "Excuse me...?" I ask, jogging behind him. "What's your name?"
poe • 7 September 2014 at 9:32 PM
@sarahzafirah @kurochi-akuma @ashlinnhiTaken by surprise by the sudden arrival of a young girl jogging after him, Quick turned abruptly to look at her once, then continued on his way, not looking at her as he spoke."That's a little random, isn't it? Aren't you going to miss a bus home or something?" He asked, his tone casual and good-natured.
sarahzafirah • 7 September 2014 at 9:49 PM
@poe @kurochi-skuma @ashlinnhi[Gravity]"No..." I replied, slightly hesitant. I normally took my bicycle home after school, and Lilly would be expecting me at her place for a project. "I just- really, really need to know your name. There's something about you I just cannot place. What are you? Do you have any 'special' abilities?"

@sarahzafirah @kurochi-akuma Look we started the rp again! Not sure where you might bring your character in, but if you need help with it, pm me! I look forward to all the characters interacting. I think we've got an interesting group because of the different maturity levels of the characters. @ashlinnhi"Are you high? I'm not really one to judge, but uh, drugs are bad." Quick began, suddenly looking her in the eye, then trailed off, staring ahead. It was a little too weird that she would ask something like that, when the truth was that he /did/ have a talent unlike any other. Or so he thought. Could she possibly...?"The name's Jonathan, but no one really calls me that. Call me Quick." He told her with a sidelong glance, "you?"He was still hesitant about approaching the topic of time travel. Quick didn't know her. Maybe she was crazy, after all.

@poe I see that. Thanks for the pings! 😊 Aye, gimme a minute to wrack my brain on how I wanted this character to act. It's been forever ago and I kind of forget, to be honest. Haha. I usually make up specific OCs for a particular roleplay and never use the same character twice, which is why I have to think a little on it. Never the less! He will have a persona. LolAlso, no problem on the jumping in part. He may not be in highschool, or school in general, but I can shift the roleplay where I need it. Thanks though! 😉@sarahzafirah @ashlinnhi____________________________________________________A man of average stature waited for the crosswalk signal to change from across the road. It was the late afternoon. The streets were flooded with people, business and casual alike, all trying to get where they needed to go, since by now most office businesses let a majority of their workers clock-out for the day. If only that were true for the man standing at the corner of the intersection. To him, his day was just beginning. He had been working since early in the morning and was merely out to have his second lunch break before returning to his duties as a state detective. The man massaged his jaw with his free hand and walked across the crosswalk once the signal changed from red to white and the herd of people behind him followed suit. Though there wasn't something particularly "different" about this day, he did feel like changing it for the better of his psyché. You see, he normally would take his second lunch at the corner of an old pizzeria and always regarded the place as the best in town. However, due to a certain lactose-intolerant sidekick he was recently partnered up with as of today, he thought it best to grab a cold cut sub and chips and eat it at the local park. The young man behind him didn't stop running his mouth all day long (as the day wore on, it started to cease)- not that the man minded it too much. It was good company. The boy reminded him a lot of himself when he was in his early twenties and fresh out of school. Granted, he wasn't in an internship like the boy, but his hopes and dreams were very similar to the ones of a certain Samuel Berlinski. "So, uh, where we headed, sir?" Sam asked from behind the man.The man smiled, though he doubted the boy could see it. "'All good things come to those who wait.' Didn't anyone teach you that one before, kid?""Well, yeah. I heard the saying before, but what's that have to do with where we're going?" Sam quipped back. The man stopped his feet in front of the entrance to the park and pointed a finger inside the gates, before replying with, "I figured it'd be nice to have some fresh air for once."____________________________________________________Sorry it's long... :c

@poe @kurochi-akuma @ashlinnhi[Gravity]Yes - finally got him to crack. "Are you high?" he had asked, and I shook my head. "I'm Gravity Sin. You can..." I began, and I leaned closer to him."Time travel; right?"
poe • 8 September 2014 at 5:36 PM
@sarahzafirah @kurochi-akuma @ashlinnhi"You're crazy, kid. Go home." Quick sighed. He didn't want to talk about time travel. It was weird and confusing, probably better if people didn't know about it, and he could only associate it with brooding. Jonathan pretty much only used time travel to stare at the events that had dealt him his tough hand in life.He would stand there and stare as a boy with dark hair ran, carrying a baby held very tightly, as if death itself pursued the two. The boy had found a safe place for the baby, and looked around, seeming to have urgent business elsewhere, and a fear of something terrible. Then he ran away. A old retired veteran found the baby, a sad look in his eyes as he whispered, "how could a baby have no home?"Quick didn't live with the man long. He died. Quick watched him die over, and over, and over again. There had been nothing to change. The man was old.He honed his time travel skills by going back to wallow in his own misery. Quick didn't want to talk to some kid about it.

@poe @sarahzafirah @kurochi-akuma After school, for some reason my eyes flitted over to a boy around 18 and a girl a few years younger than me, talking. Maybe it was just me, but I thought I heard the word, "time-travel". My heart racing, I strode towards them. But then something yanked on my hair, making me fall backwards, off balance.
sarahzafirah • 11 September 2014 at 9:38 AM
@poe @ashlinnhi @kurochi-akuma[Gravity]As he turned around and strode away, I saw him contemplating, probably about the subject I had just brought up. Most Travellers didn't like to talk about it, and almost all of us have gone through a significant change in the past. I know this because I was one of the first.I ran up to Jonathan, desperate for his attention. "Jo- er, Quick; I need your help," I say, grabbing his arm. "We are Travellers, and you know that, right? There's a complicated case that most of us do not know about. Jack Willoughby, the rich guy - supposedly murdered his ex-wife, in court, blah blah blah. The police found no evidence of the killing of Frieda, and it was not suicide, so he's a suspect. Quick, I need you on this. I am one of the only ones on this; most of the other Travellers have bailed."
poe • 11 September 2014 at 4:53 PM
@sarahzafirah @ashlinnhi @kurochi-akuma"What does it have to do with me? Why should I care to find out if he's innocent or not?" Quick shot at her, still walking, keeping a brisk pace that people with shorter legs would typically have to jog to keep up with. The police would do what they could, just like every other murder. It certainly wasn't his problem; Quick had enough of those himself.
ashlinnhi • 14 September 2014 at 8:53 AM
@poe @sarahzafirah @kurochi-akuma Akari:"Help!" I yelped. I didn't know why, but I felt that it was important to get to those two people. I heard a malicious, crystal clear laugh that sent a chill down my spine. Lillian."You should mind your own business. Don't want to disturb those two peeps, huh?" I balled my fists. Who was SHE to say that? So I just pushed past, ignoring the pain in my hip, and practically sprinted to the 18-year-old looking boy and the 12-year-old looking girl. "Sorry, to bother," I said, panting. "But did you say the word, 'time-travel'?"
poe • 20 September 2014 at 7:47 PM
@sarahzafirah @ashlinnhi @kurochi-akuma"This is ridiculous. You kids have fun playing pretend. I don't have time for this garbage." Quick told the girls harshly. With that said, he turned off onto a different street. It was about time to eat something. Maybe he'd talk a walk in the downtown direction and pick something out. He had a little extra cash today. Well, he'd had a little extra since he picked up gambling on occasion.
ashlinnhi • 22 September 2014 at 6:09 AM
@poe @sarahzafirah @kurochi-akuma Akari:'Ok, let's do this," I thought to myself. I thought of when I'd seen these two students talking. Then I walked backwards slowly while closing my eyes. The world started to swirl, but I didn't feel sick. I was travelling back in time. I opened my eyes. I was back at the time when I was seeing the boy and girl having their conversation. This time, instead of approaching cautiously, I strode towards them."Hello there. My name is Akari. Please, you have to listen to me. I'm a time traveler, just like you two. We have to get together and... and..." then I got lost. "and just... you know. Stay together. There aren't many of us, you know."
poe • 22 September 2014 at 5:37 PM
@sarahzafirah((So, in light of the fact that we are now manipulating time-space, do our time-travelers know when another time traveler is using their power to change something? Are they aware of when someone goes back in time to change a social interaction like what just happened? Like stuff just got really complicated, and I don't know how we should handle it.))
sarahzafirah • 23 September 2014 at 2:32 AM
@ashlinnhi @kurochi-akuma @poe yes, but it is preferable to travel back as a group instead of one-by-one.[Gravity]I stopped and stared at the girl. Akari, she said. "My name is Gravity," I replied. "I do not have any intention to talk to you right now. Goodbye."I ran over to Quick, who had just turned a corner. "Look at you. You're the one playing pretend, Quick. Stop denying it."
poe • 24 September 2014 at 3:10 AM
@sarahzafirah @ashlinnhi @kurochi-akuma((Sorry that short reply is short, but conversation sort of dictates it. Also, sorry that Quick is being a pain. I thought a character that didn't just hop along with everything might be interesting for the story, ya know?))"Why are you following me?" Quick asked, exasperated.Really, he thought, what on earth was he going to do about some rich guy's problems?
ashlinnhi • 24 September 2014 at 3:11 AM
@sarahzafirah @poe @kurochi-akuma "Well, I intend on talking to you," I walked in front of both of them, forcing them to look at me. "Oh, and we're not exactly following you, we just want to talk to you."
poe • 24 September 2014 at 3:13 AM
@sarahzafirah @ashlinnhi @kurochi-akuma"It is absolutely called following if I walk away and you /follow/ me when I leave the conversation." Quick sneered at the kid, then spat on the ground.
ashlinnhi • 25 September 2014 at 6:25 AM
@poe It's ok, I like a bit of drama/conflict 😉 @sarahzafirah @kurochi-akuma Akari:I was really getting mad now. "Well DEAL WITH IT. What you're doing is called being rude. If you don't believe that we're all time travelers, and that we have to actually DO something, then you're just kidding yourself. But I've had enough of YOU."Then I turned to the other girl."Hey, do you wanna go somewhere private and talk?"__________Sorry if she seems a little pushy xD
